In times of challenge, it is necessary for us as God’s people to take our worship to a higher spiritual level and blend it with the realm of the ‘Tzaddik’, the righteousness of God, which is Jesus Christ. This encompasses Christ as the crucified and resurrected One who sits at the right hand of God.

Jesus Christ died on the cross (Note: wood) and became a curse to make righteous those who believe in Him (cf. Galatians 3:13 i.c.w. Romans 8:29-30; Romans 10:4).
 
Galatians 3:13:
13 Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written (cf. Deuteronomy 21:23): “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a pole.”
 
Romans 8:29-30:
29 For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters.
30 And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified.
 
Romans 10:4:
4 Christ is the culmination of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes.
 
This realm of righteousness (Note: the righteous in Christ Jesus => Tzaddikim) can also be described as a region of trees that cooperate with and nourish themselves from the crystal water of the throne room (cf. Psalm 1:1-3; Jeremiah 17:7-8 i.c.w. Revelation 22:1-2).
 
Psalm 1:1-3:
1 Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, 2 but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night.
3 That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither – whatever they do prospers.
 
Jeremiah 17:7-8:
7 “But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him.
8 They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.”
 
Revelation 22:1-2:
1 Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb 2 down the middle of the great street of the city. On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations.
 
This crystal water brings forth the governmental understanding of the Spirit in those who are nourished by it and abide near it.
 
The Bringing Up of Worship
 
Bringing the sound higher in the form of worship and mingling it with the righteousness in Christ Jesus, the Word of God can be equated with the words of Psalm 137:1-2 and Psalm 149:6-9 so that the righteousness of God is manifested on earth through His judgments.

1 By the rivers of Babylon we sat and wept when we remembered Zion.
2 There on the poplars we hung our harps, …
 
Psalm 149:6-9:
6 May the praise of God be in their mouths and a double-edged sword in their hands, 7 to inflict vengeance on the nations and punishment on the peoples, 8 to bind their kings with fetters, their nobles with shackles of iron, 9 to carry out the sentence written against them – this is the glory of all his faithful people. Praise the Lord.
 
The Hebrew word used in Psalm 137:2 for the tree type ‘willow’ is ‘'ārab’ and means ‘to exchange, to mingle, to engage with someone, to be pleasant, to be sweet, to be delicious, to become evening’. (Note: word explanation taken from the Elberfelder Study Bible with word key number: 6272 I,6273* II, 6274 III, 6275 IV, 6276*).From this it is clear that when we take our worship to a higher level and connect it with the truth of God’s Word and its righteous standard, there is an increase of revelation in the midst of challenge. This revelation is a light shining in a dark place, so that Christ takes more form in us and the new day of more intense relationship with Him dawns (cf. 2 Peter 1:19 i.c.w. Genesis 1:3-5).

19 We also have the prophetic message as something completely reliable, and you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts.
 
Genesis 1:3-5:
3 And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.
4 God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness.
5 God called the light “day,” and the darkness he called “night.”
 
And there was evening, and there was morning – the first day.Moreover, the evening is related to the coming in of Christ as the Word of God in the form of victory over the adversary and His resurrection power (cf. Luke 24:29-31).

29 But they urged him strongly, “Stay with us, for it is nearly evening; the day is almost over.” So he went in to stay with them.
30 When he was at the table with them, he took bread, gave thanks, broke it and began to give it to them.
31 Then their eyes were opened and they recognized him, and he disappeared from their sight.
 
It is of high importance that in challenging times we pay attention to the power of Jesus’ testimony, which is the spirit of prophecy, because we find confident guidance in it (cf. Revelation 19:10e i.c.w. 2 Chronicles 20:20c).

… 10e For it is the Spirit of prophecy who bears testimony to Jesus.”

“… 20c have faith in his prophets and you will be successful.”
 
Revelation in the Midst of Captivity
 
The people of Israel also found themselves in challenges at different times, such as captivity. There, they were given confidence through the prophets, seeing the heavens opened with their spiritual eyes and witnessing God’s governmental presence to the people. Here they were close to the realm of water in the form of rivers or even the sea, which is a call from God to us as saints at this time to work closely with the Holy Spirit and the truth of God’s Word.

For example, the prophet Ezekiel was close to the river ‘Kebar – כְּבָר’ while in captivity in Babylon with the people of Israel (cf. Ezekiel 1:1-4).

1 In my thirtieth year, in the fourth month on the fifth day, while I was among the exiles by the Kebar River, the heavens were opened and I saw visions of God.
2 On the fifth of the month – it was the fifth year of the exile of King Jehoiachin – 3 the word of the Lord came to Ezekiel the priest, the son of Buzi, by the Kebar River in the land of the Babylonians.There the hand of the Lord was on him.
4 I looked, and I saw a windstorm coming out of the north – an immense cloud with flashing lightning and surrounded by brilliant light. The center of the fire looked like glowing metal,...
 
The river ‘Kebar – כְּבָר’ points to the love of God’s greatness in the form of His long suffering and patience in recognizing His already predetermined plan (cf. Ephesians 3:18-19).
 
Ephesians 3:18-19:
… 18 may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, 19 and to know this love that surpasses knowledge – that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.

Therefore, it is important that we should never put the main focus on earthly circumstances, but to be close with prophets and allow the Holy Spirit to open the eyes of our heart to the spiritual dimension.
 
This is evident from the name of the river ‘Kebar’, which means ‘great, length, long ago, already, make much, proper extent of time, that is, a great while; hence, long ago, formerly, heretofore: - already, (seeing) what is now”. It is the action of the Holy Spirit in the ‘riverbed’ of prophecy that reveals the power of God’s hand to lead deeper into the governing presence of God and to see His face. Therefore, it is important that we should never put the main focus on earthly circumstances, but be close in presence with mature prophets and allow the Holy Spirit to open the eyes of our heart to the spiritual dimension.
 
This we likewise see clearly in the life of the prophet Daniel, who was also in captivity in Babylon and there focused his spiritual gaze on Jerusalem, the seat of God’s government, while at the same time staying close to the river Ulai – אוּלַי so that he received revelation (cf. Daniel 6:10b i.c.w. Daniel 8:1-3a).

1 In the third year of King Belshazzar’s reign, I, Daniel, had a vision, after the one that had already appeared to me.

Again, it was the action of the Holy Spirit in the riverbed of prophecy, in the form of a gateway, that granted Daniel access to operate in the power of hope and reveal to him the sovereign guidance of God’s hand over political realities for the future.
 
This is clear from the word explanation of the river ‘Ulai’. The name means ‘river, watercourse, gate, eventually as an expression of hope, request’. (Note: Word explanation taken from the Elberfelder Study Bible with word key number: 198, 199*)
 
This principle of the importance of prophetic revelation in the midst of challenging circumstances is also evident with the apostle or seer-prophet John, who was in captivity on the island of Patmos because of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus (cf. Revelation 1:9-10).

9 I, John, your brother and companion in the suffering and kingdom and patient endurance that are ours in Jesus, was on the island of Patmos because of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus.
10 On the Lord’s Day I was in the Spirit, and I heard behind me a loud voice like a trumpet, …
 
As the waters of the Mediterranean surrounded John on Patmos, it was already an indication of God’s governmental presence in the midst of the crystal sea (cf. Revelation 4:6a).

6a Also in front of the throne there was what looked like a sea of glass, clear as crystal. …
 
On the island of Patmos, John received many beneficial prophetic insights about God’s government and principles, among other things. The prophetic revelation was opened by the sound of the trumpet, which caused John’s spirit to enter the process of renewal as he turned to see the loud voice speaking to him (cf. Revelation 1:10.12a-b i.c.w. Ephesians 4:23).

From this it is clear that a repentant heart, involves walking in holiness is the key in order to receiving revelation (cf. Hebrews 12:14).

14 Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see
the Lord.
 
Locked Revelation over Regions
 
There exist areas of locked revelation over regions where, in the midst of challenge, it is necessary that we allow the apostolic royal presence of God in the form of the ‘roar of the lion’ to manifest itself because it is in the interest of God to unlock revelation to the authorized addressees. To do this, it is necessary that we stay close to the ‘water’, which includes the presence of the truth of God’s Word (cf. Ephesians 5:26b).

… 26b cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, …
 
It says in Revelation 10:1-4 that a mighty angel came down from heaven into the spiritual realm where John was located. This angel was clothed with a cloud, with the rainbow over his head, and his face was like the sun, and his feet like pillars of fire.
 
This one had a small open scroll in his hand, placing his right foot on the sea and his left foot on the earth. At this he began to roar loudly like a lion, so that the seven thunders sounded in the atmosphere, carrying within them revelation that John understood, but was instructed by God’s command to seal.
 
Revelation 10:1-4:
1 Then I saw another mighty angel coming down from heaven. He was robed in a cloud, with a rainbow above his head; his face was like the sun, and his legs were like fiery pillars.
2 He was holding a little scroll, which lay open in his hand. He planted his right foot on the sea and his left foot on the land,
3 and he gave a loud shout like the roar of a lion. When he shouted, the voices of the seven thunders spoke.
4 And when the seven thunders spoke, I was about to write; but I heard a voice from heaven say, “Seal up what the seven thunders have said and do not write it down.”
 
This Bible passage reveals the spiritual principle of releasing revelation that the LORD wants to give to us as His people. However, this can only be released when we allow His apostolic nature (Note: lion) to speak into our realm through His servants and ministers who are operating in this mandate.
 
As a result, the presence of spiritual ‘prey’ is revealed and the saints who are in the prophet’s mandate begin to prophesy of it (cf. Amos 3:4.7-8).

4 Does a lion roar in the thicket when it has no prey? Does it growl in its den when it has caught nothing? …
7 Surely the Sovereign Lord does nothing without revealing his plan to his servants the prophets.
8 The lion has roared – who will not fear? The Sovereign Lord has spoken – who can but prophesy?
 
This process of revelation is accompanied by the stirring of the inner man through the fire of God (Note: spirit and soul => right foot of the angel on the water, left foot of the angel on the land) and the presence of His glory (Note: face was shining like the sun), faith (Note: cloud) as well as His covenant (Note: rainbow).
God’s covenant is related to the solid food in order to go forward with exercised spiritual senses in the maturity of the Spirit in Christ (cf. Genesis 9:3.12-13 i.c.w. Hebrews 5:14).

3 Everything that lives and moves about will be food for you. Just as I gave you the green plants, I now give you everything. …
12 And God said, “This is the sign of the covenant I am making between me and you and every living creature with you, a covenant for all generations to come: 13 I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth.
 
Hebrews 5:14:
14 But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil.
 
Since John was one of the sons of thunder (Note: Boanerges), it is evident from this that he understood the realm of the concealed powerful voice of God that accompanies the presence of the dark cloud (cf. Exodus 19:16).
 
Exodus 19:16:
16 On the morning of the third day there was thunder and lightning, with a thick cloud over the mountain, and a very loud trumpet blast. Everyone in the camp trembled.
 
This is about unlocking the sealed realities of heaven legitimately and legally. In order to do this, it is necessary that we have developed spiritual maturity that involves being familiar with and living by the principles of God’s Word and His realm of government.
 
The sealed realities of heaven (Note: sealed things) act like the dark cloud that surrounds God. The explanation for this is because the divine darkness is designed to protect the hidden things of the LORD from profane influence.
 
This is what I believe Jesus was expressing by naming the Boanerges. The Boanerges understood how to release fire from heaven because they were aware of and lived in the principles of God’s government and His work. (cf. Mark 3:17 i.c.w. Luke 9:54).

17 James son of Zebedee and his brother John (to them he gave the name Boanerges, which means “sons of thunder”), …
 
Luke 9:54:
54 When the disciples James and John saw this, they asked, “Lord, do you want us to call fire down from heaven to destroy them?”
 
James and John were trained in this by their mother on the basis of the Tenakh (Note: Old Testament), which is evident from her request, asking Jesus if their sons could sit next to Him on His right and left in His kingdom (cf. Matthew 20:20-21).
 
Matthew 20:20-21:
20 Then the mother of Zebedee’s sons came to Jesus with her sons and, kneeling down, asked a favor of him.
21 “What is it you want?” he asked. She said, “Grant that one of these two sons of mine may sit at your right and the other at your left in your kingdom.”
 
Based on this we can see that the sons of thunder – Boanerges were allowed to be spiritually in a certain area of the throne room of God and thus John understood the voice of the seven thunders and was instructed by God to seal the revelation.
 
Our handling of challenges serves to strengthen us inwardly, when exposed to external pressures, by the touch of God’s fire (note: on spirit and soul), His glory, and the presence of His faith and covenant, so that we are even stronger than we have ever been before.

On 03/16/2021 | 3’rd Abib/Nissan 5781, the media reported the discovery of fragments of a scroll found in a cave in Israel. These fragments are about 1900 years old and written in Greek.
They contain, among other things, a complete text from the book of the prophet Zechariah 8:16-17, which was quoted in the media and wherein it says:
 
“These are the things you are to do: Speak the truth to each other, and render true and sound judgment in your courts; do not plot evil against each other, and do not love to swear falsely. I hate all this, declares the Lord.”
 
During the news spread regarding this discovery, the current President of Israel Reuven Rivlin was with the current German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier in Berlin, the German capital.
 
At this point it should be noted that the biblical month of Abib/Nissan is the time frame associated with the royal tribe of Judah and with the spiritual warfare of kings (Note: leadership; cf. 2 Samuel 11:1a i.c.w. Ephesians 6:12; Psalm 149:6-9).

God’s Zeal and the One New Man
 
Personally, I consider this discovery and the time of its publication as no coincidence, but as a speaking of God to persons who are in leadership and have responsibility in connection with it.
The Bible passage found is about the revelation of the ‘Messianic salvation’ and the zeal of God interceding for Zion and Jerusalem.
In this context, the Holy Spirit speaks to us as saints from the Gentile nations who, together with the saints from Israel, make up the one new man in Christ Jesus, since the Bible text found was written in Greek (cf. Ephesians 2:14-18).
 
Ephesians 2:14-18:
14 For he himself is our peace, who has made the two groups (Note: messianic Jews and saints of the gentile nations) one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility, 15 by setting aside in his flesh the law with its commands and regulations. His purpose was to create in himself one new humanity out of the two, thus making peace,
16 and in one body to reconcile both of them to God through the cross, by which he put to death their hostility.
17 He came and preached peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near.
18 For through him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit.
 
We, as God’s people, are in a time period where the LORD is judging enhanced unrighteousness in the realm of government according to the standard of His Word, so that it will result in the form of judgment that we, as inhabitants of the earth, will learn righteousness (cf. Isaiah 26:9b).

… 9b When your judgments come upon the earth, the people of the world learn righteousness.
As I read about the discovery and decreed the entire Bible passage from Zechariah 8 about the spiritual realm over Germany, the Holy Spirit emphasized verses 7-8 wherein it is written:
‘This is what the Lord Almighty says: “I will save my people from the countries of the east and the west. I will bring them back to live in Jerusalem; they will be my people, and I will be faithful and righteous to them as their God.’”
 
This passage of Scripture indicates that a new era has dawned in which the LORD reveals Himself as a trailblazer in the form of the LORD of hosts (note: YAHWEH ZEBAOTH) who is enthroned above the Cherubim. This presence of God is accompanied by His powerful rest, which encompasses His sovereign activity (cf. 1 Samuel 4:4a i.c.w. Micah 2:13).

4a So the people sent men to Shiloh, and they brought back the ark of the covenant of the Lord Almighty, who is enthroned between the cherubim. …

Prophecy and the Breath of God
 
As a result, the Holy Spirit activates the breath of God from the four winds of the earth through the power of the prophetic word, so that there is a resurrection of the Messianic Body of Christ in the form of the ‘last Adam’ (cf. Ezekiel 38:9-10 i.c.w.. 1 Corinthians 15:45).
 
Ezekiel 37:9:
9 Then he said to me, “Prophesy to the breath; prophesy, son of man, and say to it, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Come, breath, from the four winds and breathe into these slain, that they may live.’ ”
 
1 Corinthians 15:45:
45 So it is written: “The first man Adam became a living being” (cf. Genesis 2:7); the last Adam, a life-giving spirit.
 
This movement of the breath of God is like the blowing of His breath into the first Adam, which the LORD blew and thereby raised him up. This enabled Adam to move in the vitality of God in the realm established by God in order to have fellowship with God (cf. Genesis 2:7).
 
Genesis 2:7:
7 Then the Lord God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.
 
It is necessary at this time that we direct our focus to the higher things, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.
This involves the spiritual focus of the governmental dominion we possess in Christ in order to enact His divine will in righteousness according to His plan and will based on the standard of the Word of God from His throne room (cf. Colossians 3:1-4).
 
Colossians 3:1-4:
1 Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.
2 Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.
3 For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.
4 When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.
 
The movement of God’s breath from the four corners of the earth through the prophetic command, which is always accompanied by the will of God, results that believers who have become stuck in different ‘bodies of time’ (note: land of sunrise/east, land of sunset/west) will be redeemed by the blood of Christ (cf. Ephesians 5:15-16).

15 Be very careful, then, how you live – not as unwise but as wise, 16 making the most of every opportunity (Note: redeeming the time), because the days are evil.
 
Being Redeemed out of Temporary Time and Placed in the Eternal Time of God
 
This detachment in the form of redemption results in the placing into the time of the momentum of God, who is the ‘I AM’ (Note: YAHWEH) and who speaks from the burning bush.
This burning bush encompasses the cooperative blessing of Joseph’s administration (Note: The blessing went out to the tribe through Moses.), which already points as a sign to Christ, the Crucified, the Died and the Resurrected One. This area can be equated with the already empty cross on Golgotha (cf. Exodus 3:2 i.c.w. Deuteronomy 33:16).

2 There the angel of the Lord appeared to him in flames of fire from within a bush. Moses saw that though the bush was on fire it did not burn up.
 
Deuteronomy 33:16:
… 16 with the best gifts of the earth and its fullness and the favor of him who dwelt in the burning bush. Let all these rest on the head of Joseph, on the brow of the prince among his brothers.
 
Moreover, this disconnection is tantamount to moving from the ‘linear realm’ to the ‘circular realm’ of God, which is an indication of temporary time and the time of eternity.
The Almighty and His Son Christ Jesus reveal themselves as ‘Alpha and Omega’ in the book of Revelation, who is also God, the LORD of the ages (cf. Revelation 1:8, Revelation 22:13 i.c.w. Genesis 21:33; Daniel 7:9a).

God in both characters entitles us to be drawn into the center of His Self in these dimensions, as Jesus prayed in John 17:11b.21:
 
“Holy Father, protect them by the power of your name, the name you gave me, so that they may be one as we are one. …
… that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.”
 
The necessity of being removed from the land (Note: time) of sunrise and sunset is because these times carry a type of communication that is not in harmony with the will of God.
The ‘land of sunrise’ carries the communication of ‘becoming’, but in the form of deferred hope, which leads to wrong decisions because it can make the heart sick (cf. Proverbs 13:12a).

When believers speak only of things to come one day, wherein they do not confront present events as God wants them to, because they are too focused on what is to come, there is a lack of focus as well as decisiveness in the now.
It is the heart that is the area where man makes decisions.
 
The ‘land of the sunset’ carries the communication that speaks of ‘the return of Christ’ or ‘the Rapture’, which results in passivity that waits for God to intervene without being active in faith on a daily basis to advance the Kingdom of God.
 
This is the reason why God leads His people ‘home’ to the center of His circular, eternal Being, which is a consuming fire in order to speak to the people in His blessings and in the voice of Himself (cf. Deuteronomy 4:24 i.c.w. Hebrews 12:29).

24 For the Lord your God is a consuming fire, a jealous God.
 
Hebrews 12:29:
“… 29 for our “God is a consuming fire.”
 
Speaking from the center of His paternal Being, it follows that the four rivers from the garden in the midst of the region of Eden are framed in the form of streams of living water in the identity of the Heavenly Father (note: YAHWEH – יְהֹוָה => Yod, He, Waw, He) and that flows to humans so that they hear His voice (cf. Genesis 2:10 i.c.w. John 7:38; Ezekiel 1:24a; Revelation 1:15b).

Accordingly, now is the time to center ourselves in the Father’s will and let go of our own desires as well as ideas of what is to come as related to what once was. Only in this way, from a higher understanding of temporary changes, can we effectively and efficiently advance the building of the Kingdom that is being established in the hearts of people.
 
God’s eternal plan is revealed today, here and now through the body of Christ in the one new man whose light shines brightly in the darkness, revealing the glory of the Lord to see His plan of salvation fulfilled.

A few days ago it became known through the media that the pond of Siloah in Jerusalem is filled with sufficient water again after several years. The extensive rainy season last winter ended a six-year dry period.
 
Since rain in the Word of God is related to the teaching of God, we can see the instruction of God regarding the power of His Word to enlighten the eyes of the heart in order to reveal the light of the world, which is Jesus Christ in the form of the Word of God Himself (cf. Deuteronomy 32:2 i.c.w. Psalm 119:105; John 1:14; John 9:5-7).
 
Deuteronomy 32:2:
2 Let my teaching fall like rain and my words descend like dew, like showers on new grass, like abundant rain on tender plants.
 
Psalm 119:105:
105 Your word (Note: in the form of the spoken word => Hebrew: ‘dābar’; Gr. ‘rhẹma’) is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.
 
John 1:14:
14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.
 
John 9:5-7:
5 While I am in the world, I am the light of the world.”
6 After saying this, he spit on the ground, made some mud with the saliva, and put it on the man’s eyes.
7 “Go,” he told him, “wash in the Pool of Siloam” (this word means “Sent”). So the man went and washed, and came home seeing.
 
As mentioned before, the pool of Siloah (note: means ‘sending or outpouring of water’ => a reference to apostolic power, since an apostle is a person sent by God) was the place where Jesus healed the blind man who had been blind since birth.
 
This blindness was a physical blindness, however, it is also indicative of people who are controlled by a religious spirit and now recognize the truth and are freed from the veil of ignorance by the rushing voice of Christ from the throne room of God, which is full of prophetic power (cf. John 9:6-7 i.c.w. Revelation 1:15).
 
John 9:6-7:
6 After saying this, he spit on the ground, made some mud with the saliva, and put it on the man’s eyes.
7 “Go,” he told him, “wash in the Pool of Siloam” (this word means “Sent”). So the man went and washed, and came home seeing.
 
Revelation 1:15:
15 His feet were like bronze glowing in a furnace, and his voice was like the sound of rushing waters.
 
In addition, Jesus Christ gave us an important promise at the time of Sukkot, the Feast of Tabernacles, where He spoke about the flow of the Holy Spirit (cf. John 7:37-39).
 
John 7:37-39:
37 On the last and greatest day of the festival (Note: Sukkot), Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink.
38 Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.”
39 By this he meant the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were later to receive. Up to that time the Spirit had not been given, since Jesus had not yet been glorified.
 
Based on the Bible passage, it is clear that Jesus was speaking of an outpouring of the Holy Spirit in connection with the Feast of Tabernacles, and that we can expect the Holy Spirit to increase in us even more.
 
The High Priest and the Water of Siloah
 
Every year at the Feast of Tabernacles, the High Priest performed a prophetic act. He took water from the pool of Siloam/Siloah and brought it up to the temple to pour it out beside the altar.
This symbolized the call to God for the latter and former rain (Note: Latter rain: The rainfall at the end of the rainy season, about March/April; important for the development of the grains of winter cereals.; Former rain: Usually at the end of October or beginning of November, at the beginning of the rainy season, which lasts about six months, necessary after the dry season of summer for new sowing.) to fall on the land.
 
In this context, this act reveals to us the call to God to send His ‘spiritual rain’ in the present time, which is the outpouring of His Spirit prophesied by the prophet Joel (cf. Joel 2:28-29).
 
Joel 2:28-29:
28 “And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions.
29 Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days.
 
The act of outpouring by the priest was performed every day during the days of the Feast of Tabernacles, which is also the feast that celebrates His glory.
 
The Last Day of the Feast of Tabernacles
 
On the last day of the Feast of Tabernacles, which was the great feast day, a large crowd of people accompanied the High Priest in the prophetic act of bringing the water from the Pool of Siloam/Siloah to the temple. These crowds witnessed the great outpouring, so to speak. And at that very moment Jesus stood in that place and spoke of the living water:
 
“Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. He who believes in me, as the Scripture says, rivers of living water will flow from his body.” John 7:37-38
 
Based on Jesus’ statement, it is clear that we may expect an inner and even greater ‘pressure’ of the Holy Spirit, that is the first love and is designed to cause the potential of the Spirit already placed in us by God to flow from us in the form of the four rivers as streams of living water.
 
These streams are structured or embedded in the identity of the Heavenly Father (note: YAHWEH – יְהֹוָה => Yod, He, Waw, He), whose waters flow to human beings so that they hear His voice (cf. Genesis 2:10 i.c.w. John 7:38; Ezekiel 1:24a; Revelation 1:15b).
 
Genesis 2:10:
10 A river watering the garden flowed from Eden; from there it was separated into four headwaters.
 
John 7:38:
“… 38 Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.”
 
Ezekiel 1:24a:
24a When the creatures moved, I heard the sound of their wings, like the roar of rushing waters, like the voice of the Almighty, …
 
Revelation 1:15b:
… 15b and his voice was like the sound of rushing waters.
 
Because of this inner expanding pressure of the Spirit, it is necessary for us to move in the structure of the new wineskin, which must first be moistened and secondly anointed, as Jesus said in Mark 2:22 in order to carry the potential of God’s first love and transfer His words to people.
 
Mark 2:22:
22 And no one pours new wine into old wineskins. Otherwise, the wine will burst the skins, and both the wine and the wineskins will be ruined. No, they pour new wine into new wineskins.”
 
The new wineskin includes, among other things, aligning with the right saints for this time, who are open to what the LORD wants to do in this as well as the coming phase of time and do not reject His work, even though Jesus may seem a bit of a stranger at first, much like what happened when He walked on the water at the fourth night watch (cf. Matthew 14:25-27).
 
Matthew 14:25-27:
25 Shortly before dawn Jesus went out to them, walking on the lake.
26 When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. “It’s a ghost,” they said, and cried out in fear.
27 But Jesus immediately said to them: “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.”
 
The Detour of the Water from the Gihon
 
The inner transformation is also similarly like the detour of the river Gihon by king Hezekiah, who diverted the flowing water to the city of David (cf. 2 Chronicles 32:30).
 
2 Chronicles 32:30:
30 It was Hezekiah who blocked the upper outlet of the Gihon spring and channeled the water down to the west side of the City of David. He succeeded in everything he undertook.
Hezekiah changed the direction of the flow of the water from the Gihon by diverting it from east to west into the City of David into the pool of Siloam or Shiloah. For this detour, he had workers drill through a massive rock from both sides and meet in the middle at the end, where the breakthrough took place. The length of the ‘sacred tunnel’ was about 540 meters.
 
The Two Generations and the Rock
 
The west side serves us as a reference to the time of the past and the east side points to the already predestined promise of God to be brought to the center of His being, which is the ‘I AM’. This can be found in the fact that the sun rises in the east and sets in the west.
Moreover, the movement on both sides indicates the going forth under the spirit of the prophet Elijah (note: Holy Spirit), who turns the heart of the fathers to the sons and the heart of the sons to the fathers (cf. Malachi 4:5-6).
 
Malachi 4,5-6:
5 “See, I will send the prophet Elijah to you before that great and dreadful day of the Lord comes.
6 He will turn the hearts of the parents to their children, and the hearts of the children to their parents; or else I will come and strike the land with total destruction.”
 
The spirit of Elijah is the breath of God that leads to breaking through the obstacles due to coldness of heart in the generations until we see and respect each other face to face, resulting in an inner awakening in the bride of Christ.
 
As a result, fresh movements of the Holy Spirit flow from her to the people of the world and become a blessing, leading to the blossoming of ‘the desert’ (cf. Isaiah 35:1-10).
 
The approach of the generations also involves the old generation becoming younger again in their hearts according to Isaiah 40:31 and the young generation becoming wiser as they move forward in the revelation of the new day of God in His essence, as the Eternally Present.
 
Isaiah 40:31:
… 31 but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
 
The name of the river ‘Gihon’ means ‘to break forth, to break out’. The explanation reveals to us that the Gihon is a reflection of the increasing power of the Holy Spirit in our time, which helps to breakthrough.
 
The change of the direction of the flow of the Gihon from the east to its destination in the west reflects the way of the high priest when he was performing his service in the temple or also in the tabernacle. He went from east to west, where the Holy of Holies was located.
 
The coming of the high priest Jesus Christ after the order of Melchizedek will also be like a lightning flashing from east to west (cf. Matthew 24:27).
 
Matthew 24:27:
27 For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.
 
Gihon, the Second River in Eden
 
The Gihon was the second named river in the Garden of Eden, which flowed around the area of Cush, and in the spiritual context carries the breath of the Father, since the second Hebrew letter in the name of God is the ‘He’, which carries the numerical value ‘5’ and also represents ‘breath’, as well as calling us to see prophetically the things that the LORD reveals.
 
Therefore, it cannot be considered a coincidence that from Eden emanated a river that divided into four main rivers in the Garden to water it (Note: area of intimate relationship with God the Father; cf. Genesis 2:10-14).
 
Genesis 2:10-14:
10 A river watering the garden flowed from Eden; from there it was separated into four headwaters.
11 The name of the first is the Pishon; it winds through the entire land of Havilah, where there is gold.
12 (The gold of that land is good; aromatic resin and onyx are also there.)
13 The name of the second river is the Gihon; it winds through the entire land of Cush.
14 The name of the third river is the Tigris; it runs along the east side of Ashur. And the fourth river is the Euphrates.
 
This river structure reveals the moving hand of God on the earth as it was a river that divided into four main branches. So a total of five with the river at the point of origin.
In this context, the second place division of the Gihon is significant because its position is related to the prophet or prophetic anointing. It can also be called, in a prophetic context, the index finger river of God that brings forth the mysteries that lie hidden in Jesus Christ.
 
It is also no coincidence that ‘Cush’ means ‘black’ and the pupil of the human eye is black and is the part of the eye associated with grasping images (cf. Colossians 2:2-3).
 
Colossians 2:2-3:
2 My goal is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, 3 in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
 
Hezekiah’s Justification and The Water between the Mountains
 
The waters of the Gihon were diverted by king Hezekiah because the people of Israel were beset by the hostile forces of Assyria, led by Sennacherib (note: means ‘Sin (the moon god) brought me to life’ => increasing power of the moon god – spirit of Islam; cf. 2 Kings 18:13).
 
2 Kings 18:13:
13 In the fourteenth year of King Hezekiah’s reign, Sennacherib king of Assyria attacked all the fortified cities of Judah and captured them.
 
The water of Gihon was the water that flowed between the mountains/rock, which also points to the tribe of Benjamin who was at the center of God’s anointing (cf. Deuteronomy 33:12).
 
Deuteronomy 33:12:
12 About Benjamin he said: “Let the beloved of the Lord rest secure in him, for he shields him all day long, and the one the Lord loves rests between his shoulders.”
 
It was the affliction by the enemy of ‘Assyria’ that resulted in the anointing of God going into action over the people of Israel, so that the power of the evil one was broken over them (cf. Isaiah 10:27).
 
Isaiah 10:27:
27 In that day their burden will be lifted from your shoulders, their yoke from your neck; the yoke will be broken because you have grown so fat.
 
In order to understand God’s speaking through the detour of the waters from the Gihon, it is helpful to look more closely at king Hezekiah and his life. The name ‘Hezekiah’ means ‘strength of YAHWEH’, which is the call to us to live in the anointing allotted by God for our lives.
 
Herein, joy in the LORD is given an important place because it is related to strength (cf. Psalm 45:7 i.c.w. Nehemiah 8:10).
 
Psalm 45:7:
7 You love righteousness and hate wickedness; therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions by anointing you with the oil of joy.
 
Nehemiah 8:10:
10 Nehemiah said, “Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”
 
The Power of the Wall
 
King Hezekiah, was a man who understood the ‘power of the wall’ in the midst of tribulation and cooperated closely with the prophet Isaiah, to step into his freedom (cf. 2 Kings 20:1-3).
 
2 Kings 20:1-3:
1 In those days Hezekiah became ill and was at the point of death. The prophet Isaiah son of Amoz went to him and said, “This is what the Lord says: Put your house in order, because you are going to die; you will not recover.”
2 Hezekiah turned his face to the wall and prayed to the Lord, 3 “Remember, Lord, how I have walked before you faithfully and with wholehearted devotion and have done what is good in your eyes.” And Hezekiah wept bitterly.
 
Hezekiah was aware of the position of the prophets who stayed on the wall of the ‘fortress of peace’, which is their base to prophesy with spiritual overview as well as to bring back ‘Shalom’ into the life of the people.
 
This principle is equal to the intervention of Isaiah, who went a second time to the deathly sick king Hezekiah by God’s command and prophesied to him a window of ‘EXTRA-GRACE’ (cf. Isaiah 62:6-7 i.c.w. Isaiah 38:4-6)
 
Isaiah 62:6-7:
6 I have posted watchmen on your walls, Jerusalem; they will never be silent day or night. You who call on the Lord, give yourselves no rest, 7 and give him no rest till he establishes Jerusalem and makes her the praise of the earth.
 
Isaiah 38:4-6:
4 Then the word of the Lord came to Isaiah:
5 “Go and tell Hezekiah, ‘This is what the Lord, the God of your father David, says: I have heard your prayer and seen your tears; I will add fifteen years to your life.
6 And I will deliver you and this city from the hand of the king of Assyria. I will defend this city.
 
It is essential for us as that in a humble attitude to the guidance of the Holy Spirit we preserve the relationships among saints across generations and secure them in the further breaking through in our walk in the Spirit in order to make room for the blessing of God in our midst.
