There are so many things to occupy our minds: so many books, so many examples, so many good teachings that deserve our attention, that say, "Here is a truth." But, as I have been serving the Lord these past years, He has led me to seek for two things and two things only:

to know the heart of God in Christ and to know my own heart in Christ's light.

Knowing the Heart of God

I have been seeking God, searching to know Him and the depth of His love toward His people. I want to know Christ's heart and the compassions that motivate Him. The Scriptures are plain: Jesus loved people. Mark's Gospel tells us that after He taught and healed the multitudes, they became hungry. In His compassion, Christ saw them as "sheep without a shepherd" (Mark 6:34). It was not enough for Him to heal and teach them; He personally cared for each of them. Their physical well-being, even concerning food, was important to Him.

A lad with five loaves and two fish provided enough for Jesus to work another miracle, but this miracle had to come through Christ's willing but bone-weary body. Consider: Christ brought His disciples out to rest, "For there were many people coming and going, and they did not even have time to eat" (Mark 6:31).

Consider: Jesus personally had come to pray and be strengthened. For John the Baptist, Jesus' forerunner, had been beheaded earlier that very week at the hands of Herod. It was in the state of being emotionally and physically depleted that Jesus fed the multitudes—not just once or twice but over and over again. "He kept giving [the bread and the fish] to the disciples to set before them" (Mark 6:41).

Thousands of men, women and children all "ate and were satisfied" (verse 42)! Oh, the heart of Jesus! The miracle was for them, but we read of no miracle sustaining Him except the marvelous wonder of a holy love that continually lifted His tired hands with more bread and more fish. Out of increasing weakness He repeatedly gave that others might be renewed.

So, if my quest is to know Him, I must recognize this about Him: Jesus loves people—all people, especially those society ignores. Therefore, I must know exactly how far He would travel for men, for that is the same distance He would journey again through me. Indeed, I must know His thoughts concerning illness, poverty and human suffering.

As His servant, I am useless to Him unless I know these things. If I would actually do His will, I must truly know His heart. Therefore, in all my study and times of prayer I am seeking more than just knowledge; I am searching for the heart of God.

Knowing Our Hearts

At the same time, as I draw closer to the heart of God, the very fire of His presence begins a deep purging work within me. In the vastness of His riches, my poverty appears. The psalmist wrote, "Who may ascend into the hill of the Lord? And who may stand in His holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not lifted up his soul to falsehood, and has not sworn deceitfully" (Psalm 24:3-4).

We cannot even find the hill of the Lord, much less ascend it, if there is deceit in our heart. How does one serve in God's holy place if his soul is unclean? It is only the pure in heart who perceive God. To ascend toward God is to walk into a furnace of truth where falsehood is extracted from our souls. To abide in the holy place we must dwell in honesty, even when a lie might seem to save us. Each ascending step upon the hill of God is a thrusting of our souls into greater transparency, a more perfect view into the motives of our hearts.

It is this upward call of God which we pursue. Yet, the soul within us is hidden, crouching in fears and darkness, living in a world of untruths and illusions. This is our inner man, the soul God seeks to save. Have you discovered your true self, the inner person whom truth alone can free? Yes, we seek holiness, but true holiness arises from here; it comes as the Spirit of Truth unveils the hidden places in our hearts. Indeed, it is truthfulness which leads to holiness.

God, grant us a zeal for truth that we may stand in Your holy place!

Men everywhere presume they know the "truth" but have neither holiness nor power in their lives. Truth must become more than historical doctrines; it must be more than a museum of religious artifacts—mementos from when God once moved. Truth is knowing God's heart as it was revealed in Christ, and it is knowing our own hearts in the light of God's grace.

As members of the human race, we are shrouded in ignorance. Barely do we know our world around us; even less do we know the nature of our own souls. Without realizing it, as we search for God's heart, we are also searching for our own. For it is only in finding Him that we discover ourselves, for we are "in Him."

Yet, throughout that searching process, as I position my heart before the Lord, it is with a sense of trembling that I pray the prayer of King David, "Search me, O God, and know my heart; try me and know my anxious thoughts; and see if there be any hurtful way in me, and lead me in the everlasting way" (Psalm 139:23-24).

Let us wash the cosmetics from our souls and look at the unadorned condition of our hearts. I know God has created us eternally complete and perfect in Christ. I believe that. But in the first three chapters of John's Revelation, Jesus did not tell the churches they were "perfect in His eyes." No! He revealed to them their true conditions; He told them their sins. Without compromise, He placed on them the demand to be overcomers, each in their own unique and difficult circumstances.

Like them, we must know our need. And like them, the souls we want saved dwell here, in a world system structured by lies, illusions and rampant corruption. Our old natures are like well-worn shoes into which we relax; we can be in the flesh instantly without even realizing it. The enemies that defeat us are hidden and latent within us! Thus, the Holy Spirit must expose our foes before we can conquer them!

Concerning man's nature, the prophet Jeremiah wrote, "The heart is more deceitful than all else and is desperately sick; who can understand it?" (Jeremiah 17:9). Quoting another of David's prayers, a similar cry is heard, "Who can discern his errors? Acquit me of hidden faults. Also keep back Thy servant from presumptuous sins; let them not rule over me; then I shall be blameless, and I shall be acquitted of great transgression" (Psalm 19:12-13).

There may be errors inside of us that are actually ruling us without our awareness. Do we realize, for instance, how many of our actions are manipulated purely by vanity and the desire to be seen or accepted by others? Are we aware of the fears and apprehensions that unconsciously influence so many of our decisions? We may have serious flaws inside yet still be either too proud or too insecure to admit we need help.

Concerning ourselves, we think so highly of what we know so little!

Even outwardly, though we know our camera pose, do we know how we appear when we are laughing or crying, eating or sleeping, talking or angry? The fact is, most of us are ignorant of how we appear outwardly to others; much less do we know ourselves inwardly before God! Our fallen thinking processes automatically justify our actions and rationalize our thoughts. Without the Holy Spirit, we are nearly defenseless against our own innate tendencies toward self-deception.

Therefore, if we would be holy, we must first renounce falsehood. In the light of God' grace, having been justified by faith and washed in the sacrificial Blood of Jesus, we need not pretend to be righteous. We need only to become truthful.

No condemnation awaits our honesty of heart—no punishment. We have only to repent and confess our sins to have them forgiven and cleansed; if we will love the truth, we shall be delivered from sin and self-deception. Indeed, we need to know two things and two things only: the heart of God in Christ and our own hearts in Christ's light.

PROPHECIED ON 21`st of JANUARY 2009, Holy Place BERLIN- SPANDAU

The Water of Direction und the SYNCHRONISATION

You have received the water of direction and focus. In connection with it God spoke one word to me: SYNCHRONISATION.

The main focus of the Father in relation to this is connected with unifying, two sides becoming one. When a husband and his wife come together there is a synchronisation taking place. Two parts come together in one. We are the bride and the Father is challenging us to become one with Him.
On earth as it is in heaven (Matthew 6,10).

Noah and the Ancient Floods

The Father released the ancient floods in the time of Noah and He opened the windows of heaven.

Genesis 7,11:
11 In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.

He brings His Spirit in unity with our spirits. He brings life and fruit. When this double water was released, it brought a great quietness over the world. God brought the waters together to bring a quietness to the world.

The Name of NOAH

The main focus for us today is ‚NOAH‘ and this name is carrying the double. It means: rest and comfort. If you are in the rest of God, He will give you comfort. We have to understand how to come into the rest of God and I am not speaking about sleeping, but about doing your work in the rest of God and He will give you comfort. And this power of comfort will show His power.

REFLECTION and Turkey

This has to do with reflection. REFLECTION was the second word I got.
In the time when Noah approached the end of his journey in the ark, the ark settled down on a mountain top, the top of the mount Ararat, which is in Turkey. It is interesting to note that God took two letters of Paul in His Bible, which concern Turkey, the book of Ephesians and the book of the Galatians. Again, two in one. So, there came the ark to rest.

Genesis 8,4:
4 And the ark rested in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, upon the mountains of Ararat.

The Name “Ararat”

The mount Ararat means mirror. And everything there was connected to water in the time of Noah.
We also know that the high places are the places where God dwells.
From a prophetic viewpoint Ararat stands as a symbol for the mirror of His presence.
We are the mirror of His glory.
When I look at you, I have to see in you the comfort, the glory, the rest, the trust, the peace of God. The fruits of the Spirit can be reflected through your life, works and faith, but only if you are walking you can bring the peace wherever you go.

Ponder the Words

Now, we drank the water of direction and this is the result -the Lord is giving direction not only for this evening, but also for this day, this week, this month or this year. Move these words in your heart before Him (Luke 2,19).

The Command of God: “SHOW ME LIFE!”

Now, Ararat was also the place of multiplication and covenant. God had commanded Noah to bring pairs of animals into the ark as well as his family. Why? Because God wanted His creation to live, the animals and the human beings.
As the ark came down with the sinking of the water, and this was a process, God commanded Noah something very important and He commands it to us today. God commanded Noah to show Him life.

Genesis 8,15-19:
15 And God spoke unto Noah, saying, 16 Go forth of the ark, thou, and thy wife, and thy sons, and thy sons' wives with thee.
17 Bring forth with thee every living thing that [is] with thee, of all flesh, [both] of fowl, and of cattle, and of every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth; that they may breed abundantly in the earth, and be fruitful, and multiply upon the earth.
18 And Noah went forth, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons' wives with him:
19 Every beast, every creeping thing, and every fowl, [and] whatsoever creepeth upon the earth, after their kinds, went forth out of the ark.

God wanted to see life.
Show me life, your life, what I gave you. Show Me, where Christ dwells in you.
It is very important! You have to show Him life.
Don‘t show Him where the evil still lives in you, show Him where Christ lives in you.

The Rejoicing of the Father

You see that the double went out of the ark. It left a zone of comfort to step out into a wide field. And as God saw the life moving that He had commanded to move out, as rest and comfort moved out, Noah! God was rejoicing with the Angels and Jesus in Heaven. They were rejoicing to see life moving. The flood had lasted many days and it was a long period of quietness on the earth, so God was awaiting the life-style of His creation.

Leaving the old Place

Noah went out, moved and left the old place. Then he started to give God adoration, worship and sacrifice. He said, whatever you gave me, I will give it to you, I will honor you.

First, Noah showed life. Whatever you do with the Lord, God is rejoicing every time when you move your bones. He is rejoicing like a child because you are a part of Him.

The pure Adoration and the pure Worship

Genesis 8,20-21:
20 And Noah build an altar unto the LORD; and took of every clean beast, and of every clean fowl, and offered burnt offerings on the altar.
21 And the LORD smelled a sweet soothing aroma; and the LORD said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake; for the imagination of man's heart [is] evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done.

The Lord spoke as He saw the real adoration and worship: clean animals, clean worship.
Who can go to the mountain of the Lord? He who has clean hands and a pure heart.

Psalm 24,3-4:
3 Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place?
4 He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his
soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.

True Worship and true Promises

And out of this worship God made a commitment and He said that He will never again destroy the whole earth with water (Genesis 8,21). He gave a promise after the true worship of Noah.
If you give God true worship, He will give you true promises. Out of that God started to command. He said to Noah and the animals that they have to multiply and be fruitful.

Obedience

First you have to show the Lord life, and obedience is life and better than sacrifice. Then you give glory to God for it and He will give you promises.
He will command you to be fruitful.

The Covenant and the Year 2009

After these things God made a covenant with Noah, see chapter nine of Genesis. Note, there are also nine fruits of the Spirit and we are in the year 2009. Then the earth started to prophecy with water and light.

Genesis 9,8-17:
8 And God spoke unto Noah, and to his sons with him, saying,
9 And I, behold, I establish my covenant with you, and with your seed after you; 10 And with every living creature that [is] with you, of the fowl, of the cattle, and of every beast of the earth with you; from all that go out of the ark, to every beast of the earth.
11 And I will establish my covenant with you; neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth.
12 And God said, This [is] the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that [is] with you, for perpetual generations:
13 I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.
14 And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud:
15 And I will remember my covenant, which [is] between me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh.
16 And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that [is] upon the earth.
17 And God said unto Noah, This [is] the token of the covenant, which I have established between me and all flesh that [is] upon the earth.

In the Center of  the Mirror

And all of this happened in the center of the mirror. The mirror is also a symbol for revelation and testing, to check yourself and of discernment.
Everything speaks about surrender and obedience. And there is another secret.

Exodus 38,8:
And he made the laver [of] brass, and the foot of it [of] brass, of the looking-glasses of [the women] assembling, which assembled [at] the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

It speaks about the women who were serving in front of the tent of revelation. They gave their mirrors. This means that they gave their own lives. They gave themselves for this brass laver. This tool of worship was for the priests. They had to wash their hands in it before they went into the Holy Place. The ladies prepared the way. John the Bapbtist prepared the way. And in this time the Lord will once more again use women to prepare the way for His coming.
The ladies laid down their own Ararats, all the revelation they got for His Ararat, for the movement of repentance. Brass is also a symbol of repentance.

Submission und Surrendering

Are you ready to lay down your revelation?
Do it out of a heart of surrendering and submission to prepare the way for Him.

The people asked John who he was and his answer was: I am a voice crying out in the wilderness.

John 1,23:
23 He said, I [am] the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord, as said the prophet Isaiah.

Only a voice, he was not taking on any names. His task was to prepare the way for the Lord. What is your task?

The Decision and Multiplication

Tonight you drank from the water of direction. If you get direction, you have to make a decision -left or right. The submission of the people of God for the move of repentance will bring forth clean hands and pure works of faith. These will be the results, if we lay down our Ararats before Him to be in His Ararat. It is not about the plus. It is about the point. It is not about addition, it is about the X. It is about multiplication. Call it mirroring.
We have to be faithful with the things that God gave us and show life. Move out of the place and start to show the Lord life, but understand that you have to be in His rest and comfort. If you have no rest and no comfort, then stay. If God says move, then move and show Him life, say: This is for you, whatever I do, I do it for you.

Amen und Amen.

Many Voices

We live in a day and age where there is tremendous activity all around us.

We are admonished in God’s word to “Be still, and know that I am God (Ps 46:10).” There are so many voices speaking today. Sometimes it is a blessing because we can receive multiple opinions and hear “words” regarding everything from politics to sporting events. If that is not enough we can go to prophetic websites where we are sure to find the exact word that we need to lift and encourage us.

This is not bad; it is a blessing of God and a good utilization of end-time technology. But if we do not take individual time to hear from God directly then all the “words” that come from other voices will only serve to make a person guess as to what is really going on.

Your Personal Relationship with the Lord

There will never be any substitute for individual prayer time. You cannot live off of someone else’s “word”.
Some Christians seem to always want someone else to do the work for them. They spend all of their time visiting ministry websites to read the latest “word” that is posted. When taken to the extreme this can only bring confusion and be spiritually detrimental. Often believers can reduce prophetic utterances to a level of tose tantalizing horoscopes found in cheap tabloids. I’ve discovered most who do this have very little prayer life, for they are too busy reading countless prophecies and forwarding them by email to everyone under the sun.

An Example of Confusion

For instance, you read a prophetic word that says America is going to recover financially and be blessed by God. Then, later in the day you read a different prophetic word from someone else that tells you impending disaster is coming upon America, and that the financial system is going to completely collapse. Now, you are confused and not sure what to think. Who’s right? Who’s wrong? Actually, who really cares? Jesus himself said; “Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble (Matt. 6:34).”

The Healthy Break

I think for the sake of emotional health (and even physical) that many of God’s people should take a little break from engulfing every prophetic word that happens to show up on their email. Trust me, if you go a week or longer of doing this you will discover that the earth will still rotate and the sun will still come up in the morning. You say, “But Brother Steven I need to be informed. What should I do?”

The Psalm 46 and God`s Rest

I would encourage you to do Psalm 46:10 – Be still, and know that I am God.
Despite who is President, who is Prime Minister, or the looming threat of a nuclear meltdown, God is in control. When you get still in your spirit you will know that “He who sits in the heavens shall laugh (Ps 2:4).” God is not nervous. He has a plan and that plan includes your safety, protection, promotion,
and blessing. When you are quiet in the place of prayer, and you know the heartbeat of God – it is then that you will receive a quickening from only those specific prophetic words that are meant for you to receive. You do not need dozens upon dozens of “words”.

The Five Smooth Stones

David went out against Goliath with only fixe smooth stones. The Lord will send to you those smooth stones necessary for your edification and success.
One of the key reasons we are seeing such a diversity of conflicting “words” is that many voices are only parroting what other voices are saying.

Do Your Homework.

Many are not doing their own homework; they are copying from others, who may also be misguided. It is imperative that we go to God to receive His directions, and not put out responsibility over on someone else.

Prophesying

Prophesy is a supernatural utterance inspired by the Spirit of God. It is supernatural. It is not analytical, or a mental assessment from having watched unending hours of news on tue television. Often God will prophetically speak exactly opposite of what a situation may appear to be in the natural.
Some people are prophesying out of their minds. This is not true biblical prophecy. The biblical gift
of prophecy is supernatural. Biblical prophecy will also lift you and not put you in bondage or fear.

The Testimony

We recently had a New Year’s Eve Conference which was hosted by my ministry here in Wilkesboro, NC.
I was a speaker, along with Wade Taylor. Several days before the conference I was in prayer, asking tue Lord about the coming year of 2009. Yes, I heard many “words” from other good ministers about tue coming year, but I wanted to know from the Lord personally what He had to say about the year 2009.

The Year 2009

As I was in my office, the Spirit of God spoke to my heart and said,

“Take a notepad and write. The year 2009 will be a year of Double Blessing. It will be a year of Restoration.”

Those words blessed my heart because I knew the Holy Spirit had spoken to me, although I had not heard any other ministers say that. On the night of our New Year’s Eve Service, Brother Wade Taylor spoke first.

We had not communicated at all about the message, nur talked at all about what we would share. As he stood up to speak the first thing he said was, “The year of 2009 is February, 2009 the year of the Double Portion.” Well, I wanted to jump out of my seat and run around the room when I heard that. Brother Wade went on to say, “2009 is also the year of increase by multiplication, not by addition. Three multiplied by three is nine.”
Later I shared with the audience as well about the Double Blessing. Since then I’ve heard of another minister who received the same identical message by revelation. That’s three witnesses.

It’s important to get quiet before the Lord. He is speaking so clearly to those who will wait to hear His voice. God is not a God of confusion. The Lord wants to send a double blessing to you. Rest in Him, seek His face, and trust Him with all your heart. He will visit you and bless you with His very best!

Double Blessings,

Steven Brooks
