As 2012 starts God will open up “suddenly” open doors. We have to seize the opportunities that God will bring to many at breakneck speeds. We will have to be flexible enough to flow with the doors that open, that are totally unexpected when they come. Out of these “surprise” unplanned doors will come the greatest advancement this year.

Divine appointments that were totally not planned will arise, ask the Lord to help you discern the divine appointments that will be the answer to your prayers and visions and callings to come into being.

As the shaking of the nations increases the opportunities for unequaled harvest will also come. With chaos also comes great opportunity. Look for the opportunity in each of the shakings. Some of these opportunities will be so BIG that it will stretch our faith to even take the step into them. But once we do we will leap into accelerated destiny!  A big key to this will be FLEXIBILITY and flowing with the rapid changes occurring in our lives, ministries, businesses and nations.

LEAP YEAR:

God will cause those that have been faithful, to actually leap and accomplish more in 1 year than they have in 4 years. With that will come 4 times more harvest, favor, and blessings. Previous closed doors will open while others doors the Lord never intended for you to go through will remain shut for your benefit, while other new doors will open that are more than we could ask or think.

YEAR OF BREAKTHROUGH TRIBES

This year God will emphasize the tribes that help us to breakthrough into new realms. The tribes of Judah, Issachar and Zebulon were always the first tribes that God sent into battle to open new territory. Judah means praise. As we praise our way this year, we will see rapid victories over our enemies. Praise God no matter the circumstances! God always send his praisers first!

Then Issachar which is the prophetic tribe. This tribe knows what Israel ought to do and knows the times and seasons. As you praise God and link in with prophetic direction it is like a 2 edged sword that causes great breakthrough this year. Be led by praise and prophetic direction.

The 3rd tribe is Zebulon. It is the tribe that knows how to bring in provision from the seas. God will give you supernatural creative ability and direction this year, if you ask for it. He will give you unique strategies to see the provision come in so you cannot only break into new territory, but do so with the provision needed to build in that new territory, lacking nothing to advance. Ask God to connect you to the Zebulon’s. Often you will have characteristics and mantles stronger in one of these tribes, but then God will have you link up with others that have the mantle you lack for victory. If you are a businessperson (Zebulon) you will need to link up with the Isacchar tribe that can give you direction on where to throw the nets in for the catch. If you are a praise and worshipper (Judah) you will need to link up with Isacchar and Zebulon and vica versa for full victory. We all need to tap into the prophetic or get with those who are of the prophetic tribe, as well as the Judah and Zebulon tribe, if we are to experience full Breakthrough into new territory this year.

YEAR OF NEW ALIGNMENTS

12 is the number of government. This year God will either reinforce your alignments and/or connect with new apostolic alignments that have to do with your destiny. Just like Judah, Zebulon and Isaachar were linked up for their purpose, God will link you up with those you are to be properly aligned with for this next season in God’s kingdom advancing.  As those you align with breakthrough, you also experience major breakthrough and blessing.  Some alignments are for a season and when the season is over if we don’t make the transition to connect with the new alignments we could miss out stepping into the next chapter of our destiny, living in the past and missing the future glory.

A YEAR TO SIMPLIFY

God is going to pinpoint more and more the idea of removing the clutter and simplifying our lives. Just as an office full of to much clutter hinders your work and focus, so also too much clutter in our lives will hinder and diminish our effectiveness. Clutter and distractions such as taking on more than God has specifically told us to do will hinder our breakthroughs.

God will also lead many to get completely free of every debt; from mortgages, car loans, credit card debts and any other debt as these can weigh us down. God will give you the strategy to be completely debt free in 2012 if you ask and obey His directions.  For many this will be a jubilee year as God resets your life owing no man anything but to love.

Too much electronic visuals can clutter our minds hindering us from receiving the peace of God and downloads from heaven. Many will be led to diminish their time on emails, facebook, TV, and other entertainments that in and of themselves are not necessarily wrong and even necessary in our modern world, yet at the same time can overload our systems and senses and start to desensitize us to what the Spirit is trying to get through to us when abused. Some will realize how addicted they are to electronic communication and media when they take a “fast”from it for seasons to hear the Lord.  I love it when I am in primitive settings as often occurs when traveling as when I was in with the indigenous tribes of the nation of Vanuatu speaking. We slept in a grass hut with no TV, internet or cell phone connection and the glory and visitations were clear and unobstructed not to mention the physical rebooting and strength that comes when the electromagnetic interference is not overloading our minds and even zapping our energy all the time. Ask God how you can minimize it or delegate some of it to free up that time to hear and be with God.

YEAR OF REPOSITIONING

God is leading many to reposition their life, ministry, and business either spiritually and even at times geographically.  Elijah was at the brook being provided for until the brook dried up. God was wanting him to take the step of faith to be a blessing somewhere else. Out of that re-locating came new provision, ministry and miracles.  Don’t expect the favor, and provision to come from the same source this year. God will at times purposely dry up one brook so that we will take the step of faith to obey him by going into the new territory God has for us.

A YEAR OF THE NATIONS…

Many nations are being re-aligned this year. Watch to see who the nations align with. The nations that align with Israel, such as Singapore has been doing, will be doubly blessed. Asia is rising in 2012! Watch for China and North Korea. North Korea will soon be one of the largest harvest fields in history within the next few years, but great shakings will come right before this. Much of Asia is experiencing great revival and harvest which is also causing the economies of Asia to rise as a side effect in places such as Indonesia, Singapore, parts of China, South Korea and other Asian nations and even India. As the nations start to shake like an apple tree being shaken, GREAT OPPORTUNITY will be the result. Have your harvesting baskets already positioned under the tree!

America also will go through great shakings, but it will also result in a great harvest of souls! America will encounter God. The greatest moves of God are yet to come. God is not finished with America, we will see a great awakening once again even if that has to come via great shakings. Either way God will have His nation running back to Him. When the economic, political, spiritual and geographical shakings start to occur know that the Great Harvest is also right around the corner. In the darkest hour God often shines the brightest! God is looking for the Joshua and Calebs that say “Give me my mountain” even in the midst of Giants in the land and seemingly overwhelming odds…
In 2012 “all things are possible to them that believe!"

The Glory Zone

Message at Glory of Zion's Head of the Year Conference, 5770 by Dr. Robert Heidler

We live in an exciting time! God is preparing to pour out the greatest move of the Spirit of all time. It is the second reformation, and in preparation, God is restoring the Church to His original plan! God is re-forming His church to become a new wineskin!

The sad truth is, for many, church today doesn’t seem to “work.” We have pastors who work long, hard hours. We have saints that love the Lord. But we don’t see the kind of results they saw in the New Testament. The lost are not being reached. Nations are not being changed.
Why is it that “church” today doesn’t work the way it did in the New Testament? The answer, I believe, is that we haven’t followed the directions!

1 Corinthians 12:28 establishes an order for the church. "God has appointed FIRST apostles, SECOND prophets, THIRD teachers, THEN come miracles, healing, helps, etc."

God says, for the church to function as He intended, you start with the APOSTLE. The apostle has the anointing to make “church” work! For church to operate the way God intended, you must be correctly related to, or “aligned with,” an apostle! When you align with an apostle, apostolic anointing flows into everything you do!

An apostle is like a faucet! God’s anointing for church flows through the apostle! No matter how hard you try, or how good your methods, if your cup is not under the faucet, church will not work!

But if you align yourself with a true apostle, apostolic anointing begins to flow! The LIFE of God fills His church! The key to a church that functions in New Testament power is apostolic ALIGNMENT!

The Beginning Process of an Apostolic Alignment with the People of Israel

=>When God brought Israel out of Egypt, they were a rabble- a "mixed multitude".
Israel was freed from Egypt, but they weren't ready to move forward as God's people in unity to accomplish His purposes.

They couldn't even feed themselves much less gather harvest. So, instead of taking them directly to the Promised Land, God took them down to Mount Sinai and spent a year teaching them His principles and establishing His boundaries.
During that time He aligned their camp, physically. Then He aligned them correctly with His leadership, His timing, and His glory.

God spent a year saying, "People, I have a great harvest for you. I have a great promise that I want to bring into reality in your experience, but I cannot do that until you get aligned."
And these sentences is God also saying to His church today. He is saying, "This kind of alignment is necessary because there is power in alignment."

The Power of a Magnet related to the Right Apostolic Alignment

The importance of a proper alignment becomes clear when we look to the example of a magnet.
A good illustration for a proper alignment is, if you look to the end-result if you take an iron bar, just a cold piece of inert metal, and a magnet.
The magnet can be the same size and weight as the iron bar and can even be made out of the same material. Chemically, they're identical, but the magnet has a power that the iron bar lacks.

The difference between these two iron pieces (note: the magnet and the iron bar) is that the molecules in the iron bar are not aligned. They're all in there and have their own magnetic fields, but they're all just doing their own thing and going their own way. The result is that there is no power!

But the amazing thing is that the iron bar can become a powerful magnet if you place the iron bar in a very strong magnetic field for a season, the molecules will align with that magnetic field. When they come into alignment, they gain the power of alignment; and suddenly, you have another magnet!

In a similar way took God His people down to Sinai and put them in that strong, magnetic field of His glory for a year, to get them into alignment. He aligned them physically by putting the Tabernacle in the center and then positioning the tribes around the perimeter.

On the East, He placed the tribes Judah, Issachar, Zebulon. On the South, He placed Ruben, Simeon, Gad. With the tabernacle the Levites took off. On the West, He placed Ephraim, Manasseh and Benjamin. On the North, He placed Dan, Asser and Naphtali.
Each one of the tribes were specifically positioned to a special wind by the Lord, so that His power could move effectively.

First of all, the tribes were in alignment with each other.
God knew all the tribes were different, and each tribe had its own call and destiny. Each one had its own gifts and abilities.

For example, Judah understood warfare and worship (see Genesis 49:8-12; Judges 1:1-2).
Issachar understood how to discern the times and seasons (see 1 Chronicles 12:33).
Zebulon understood to have success in the business world (see Genesis 49:13; Deuteronomy 33:18-19).
God took the tribes and aligned them with each other in a way that all of them could prosper.

In 1 Corinthians 12 we can read that God aligned His body on earth, which directs to His plan, that He has a calling for every saint in His body to align him with the right tribe, so that he has success and can prosper like a flower.

Not only were the tribes aligned with each other, but they were all aligned with the Ark. They each had to learn how to relate to the glory of God. When every tribe was aligned, a place was created for the glory of God to come down and dwell in their midst.<= (note: This revelation is based on a teaching by Dr. Robert Heidler of Glory of Zion International Ministries, which he wrote in the book "A Time To Advance" on the pages 173-175).

What is Meant by Alignment?

To align with an apostle means you get in a committed relationship with that apostle. It’s not a hierarchy where the apostle is a dictator who orders you around. But it is a committed relationship. It’s a covenant relationship.
The assignment of the apostle is similar to the railing on a roof terrace, which is there to protect a person from a dangerous situation.

As usually the railing of a roof extends on a building, so should be established by a higher spiritual authority over the current spiritual maturity of the believer a spiritual structure of protection, so that in case of sudden difficulties or challenges sufficient safety / security is granted (see Deuteronomy 22:8)

Deuteronomy 22:8:
8 When you build a new house, make a parapet around your roof so that you may not bring the guilt of bloodshed on your house if someone falls from the roof.

Your apostle is one you go to for counsel. He’s the one you trust for direction. You commit yourself to your apostle like David’s mighty men committed to David.

David’s Mighty Men Give us a Good Picture of Alignment

When David was in the wilderness, many came to join themselves to him. That’s alignment!
Some of those who came to David had probably been aligned with Samuel. But the season of the Judges had ended!
Some had been aligned with Saul. But Saul disqualified himself through unbelief and disobedience. Saul’s time had passed!
Some of those who came had never been aligned with anyone. But they looked at David and caught his vision. They saw the anointing of God on him and said,

This is the man God is calling me to align with! I want to be part of what he is doing!”

They came to David for many reasons! Some of them were people who were passionately in love with God. They looked at David and saw his heart for God and said, “He’s the kind of man I want to follow!”
Some came with great needs. I Samuel 22:1-2 tells us.:

"Everyone who was in distress, and everyone who was in debt, and everyone who was discontented gathered to him; and he became captain over them.”

What a wonderful group that was! But they were in such great distress they had nothing to lose! They needed to be connected with somebody, and they caught David’s vision and committed themselves to it.
Others who came to align with David were people with great skill. I Chronicles 12:1-2.8 says,

Now these are the ones who came to David men trained for war, who could handle shield and spear, and whose faces were like the faces of lions, and they were as swift as the gazelles on the mountains.”

These were highly skilled individuals who wanted lives to count! They wanted to find a worthwhile place to invest their lives, and they saw that Saul’s reign was a dead-end. So they aligned themselves with David.

So there were many people coming to David, with many levels of ability and many motivations. But as they all aligned with David, David’s anointing flowed into them! The anointing that was in David when he killed Goliath and defeated tens of thousands of the Philistines flowed into all of them! And they became his mighty men of valor!

Together they took Jerusalem and brought in the ark. Then the presence of God came down into David’s tabernacle and they experienced God’s glory in the land!

That’s the Power of Alignment!

Alignment is a basic biblical principle. We see it all through the Scriptures. The mighty men aligned with David. Joshua aligned with Moses. Elisha aligned with Elijah. The disciples aligned with Jesus. Timothy aligned with Paul. Biblically, you don’t get anywhere without aligning with somebody!

When you align with someone, it means you commit yourself to them, you submit yourself, you link yourself to them, you learn from them and make yourself accountable to them.

The Result is, their Anointing Flows into You!

There are many places you can align. There are many apostolic networks and ministries around the world. Most of them are very good. Each will have a unique God-given focus. Each will have a different vision. Only God can show you which one He wants you to align with. But you need to be aligned somewhere!

The Two Types of Apostolic Alignment

There exist two types of apostolic alignment in the Body of Christ, in which a distinction has to be made between the territorial alignment and the functional alignment.

The territorial alignment is the spiritual covering, where the believer is spiritually at home.
It is the place where the saints are given the opportunity to use their gifts if they are trained in it and know how they function.

Jesus trained his disciples to the right point of their spiritual maturity, which does not mean that he controlled them in a wrong way. His goal was to bring them into their full apostolic dimension to establish the Kingdom on earth and to be servants of the great works of God.

The second spiritual covering is the functional alignment/ coalition. It is the connection that gives the Saint the opportunity to function or to act with apostolic - prophetic strategy in the respective field of responsibility in the Kingdom of God.

The purpose of the functional alignment begins at the point where the territorial alignment has come to its borders of competence or where the concerned Saint feels no spiritual "satisfaction" in his heart, to be confident and secure in moving with Jesus Christ into his promised field.

The Apostle Paul for example was functioning to some communities of believers in a functional alignment because he could not see them all at any time in person, face to face, even if he longed.

Despite this fact, the named communities were under his apostolic guidance (see 1 Corinthians 5:3-4; Colossians 2:1.5; 1 Thessalonians 2:17; 1 Thessalonians 3:6.10).

The Alternative to Alignment

The alternative to alignment is scattering! A few months ago, a woman from another country emailed me with a long list of questions. She had been going from church to church, and from conference to conference, receiving ministry from many different people. As a result, she was in complete confusion!

She said, “This person says this, but that person says that. I don’t know what’s true!” She was confused on so many different issues, it would have taken hours to try to answer all her questions. So instead of trying to answer all of her questions, I tried to get to the heart of her problem.
I told her, “Your problem is, you are trying to process too many sources of information, and it’s put you in confusion.”

You see, that woman was receiving from many sources, but really aligned with no one! The result was that she was not getting anywhere!
Someone recently told me about a minister on TV that had called the entire Church to fast for 21 days. They asked me if I was going to fast. When you hear something like that, you better know who you are aligned with! There is ALWAYS somebody somewhere calling the church to fast! If you fast every time somebody calls a fast you will never eat!

You See, You Must be Aligned SOMEWHERE!

There are many streams in the river of God. There are many different ministries. Each has a different God-given emphasis! Each has their own call. It’s good to receive from many! But you need to know who God has aligned you with, or you will end up with confusion. I know who I’m aligned with, and it’s one of the greatest blessings in my life.

God is forming His new wineskin. As the church aligns apostolically, the five-fold ministry begins to operate, the saints are equipped to minister, and God’s new wineskin forms!

And when the new wineskin forms, God WILL pour His new wine!

by Dr. Robert Heidler

I opened my Bible at 1 Samuel, chapter 4, and my eye was caught by the title: "The Philistines Capture the Ark."

I immediately heard the Lord say, "The enemy captured the Church."

The enemy has made us believe that "the Church" is a building, a place of worship, somewhere that we go to, but that was never intended. Any study of the word "church" in the Bible will show that it refers to a group of Believers and never to a building.

Jesus called His apostles to change the world, and we have miserably failed. He told us to love Him and to love our neighbors, and we have loved ourselves and our church buildings and let the world go to Hell. Jesus prayed for His followers to be in unity, and we have had division, after division, after division. That is the work of the enemy.

Jesus said that He would build His Church (see Matthew 16:18), and for 2,000 years we have tried to do it for Him. That's how the enemy got to steal it – we had stolen it first. Oh, I know it was the enemy, not you and me personally, but it is up to you and me personally to take it back. Do you remember Daniel's prayer? Daniel, who was innocent, identified with the sin of his people. Can we do the same?

Daniel 9:3-6 I prayed to the LORD my God and confessed: "O Lord, the great and awesome God, who keeps His covenant of love with all who love Him and obey His commands, we have sinned and done wrong. We have been wicked and have rebelled; we have turned away from Your commands and laws. We have not listened to Your servants the prophets, who spoke in Your name..."

Daniel identified with the sin of his nation. All across the world Christians have allowed the enemy to steal the real Church, and it is time for those of us who recognize that to repent and plead for mercy.

There is much we can learn from the Bible story which prompted this message, but briefly this is what I felt was important.

Don't Treat the Presence of God in Our Lives as a Superstition

1 Samuel, Chapters 4-7

The Israelites were having problems with the Philistines, so they took the Ark into battle with them as a sort of mascot or lucky charm. They were living under superstition. The enemy was very perturbed by the renewed enthusiasm among the Israelites and panicked, but quickly their army pulled themselves together and fought to win. The consequence was that the Ark was captured and taken into Philistine territory.

If the Church feels secure in the Lord as a good luck symbol, or as a superstition, it doesn't work! If we believe that "going to church" will get us through the battle of life and into Heaven, we are wrong. The enemy is strong and seems often to be much more together than the people of God.

A lot of God's people died, including the sons of Eli who had already been warned about their behavior (see 1 Samuel 3:11-14). What a responsibility it is to be a parent, a physical one and a spiritual one. If we don't parent the next generation, then the enemy will steal them from us.

When old Eli was told of his sons' deaths and of the Ark being taken, he died by falling off his chair and breaking his neck. The Bible tells us that he was heavy, and was negligent about his responsibilities.

How many Church leaders and Church members do you know, do I know, who have gotten heavy, well fed, in the house of God, but have not been good parents or good shepherds to their flock? Before I point any fingers, I have to remind myself that I am the Church. The Church is the people, not the building, neither is it the pastor or priest. It is you and me.

Jesus never asked us to build buildings, to have programmes or to make money, He asked us basically to love Him and to go and tell the nations of His love for us and for them. If we keep on the move, it is not so easy to get fat and heavy! If we don't treat the presence of God in our lives as a superstition, maybe we will win more battles.

Bow the Knee to the One True God

Whilst in Philistine territory, the Ark knocked the idol Dagon off his perch and rendered him headless and armless.

In the presence of the One True God, the idols are headless and armless; that means they cannot think and they cannot do anything! Hallelujah! Do we, the Church, live as though the enemy had no power over us?

How could the Philistines see what happened when they had the Ark (see 1 Samuel 5) and not just bow down and say that the Israelite God was the Sovereign Lord? What is it that stops people from wanting to be a part of the family of the only true God? How many people today have seen the work of our amazing God but refuse to bow the knee to Him? How tragic! There was sickness and oppression in the camp where God lived but He was not worshiped.

Do We Have the Holy Fear of the Lord?

In 1 Samuel 6 we read of the return of the Ark to it's proper people; what rejoicing there was that day. And what rejoicing there will be in our churches when the Glory returns. But the rejoicing was short lived because of the deaths of those who got too close, who took liberties that were not theirs.

This verse (v. 19) scares me, and I see too many people who are too familiar with God. Yes, Jesus is our Friend, our Husband, but He is also the King of kings and Lord of lords, and we must never forget that. He is the Holy God and we must worship Him as such. There has to be a holy fear of our God who is an all-consuming fire (see Hebrews 12:29).

What Do We Turn to for Security?

1 Samuel, chapter 7, begins with the purifying of Israel and God's people throwing away their idols, so that He could bring them victory. Is it time for us, the Church, to throw away our idols and become the holy people that He has been waiting for?

Please, please do not imagine for a moment that I am talking about churches with statues. God is speaking to me about idols in my life. Remember, I am the Church, and you are the Church. What are our idols? Whatever we turn to for security. Whoever you turn to when things go wrong. Whatever we talk about and think about the most: family, position, sports, finance, health, food, our own particular church or denomination, our pastor, our jobs, the lies we believe.

Even the Bible can become an idol. Many people read it and can quote it, but don't obey what it says. They continue to read it daily as a religious exercise, almost as a superstition. We think we are safe because we have done that. That's what the Israelites thought when they took the Ark into battle with them! It didn't work because they had not gotten rid of the idols! They were taking God for granted. Do we?

Stop Just Going to Church and Start Being the Church

The Lord told me that the enemy had captured the Church. If we think about it, we can see it, can't we? We don't think or act like the early disciples did. Do we do much more than Jesus did, as He suggested?

John 14:12 "I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in Me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father."

Do we have the love of Jesus, the water of life, flowing from our innermost being?

John 7:38 "Whoever believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him."

The enemy has persuaded most of the Church that these things are not for today. He has given all of us a fear of man (which is really submission to the enemy), and he has told us that we will get sick, that we don't have supernatural power.

When I was touring the U.S. last year, the Lord gave me a message that basically said, "Stop just going to church and start being the Church."

Many Believers do not even go to church because they are hurt or offended by someone or something in the past. These things are a stumbling block to us and to others and need to be dealt with. St. Paul urges us not to stop meeting together!

Hebrews 10:25 "Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another – and all the more as you see the Day approaching."

Many people believe "the Day is approaching," and it is time to be obedient to everything the Lord is saying. When we are obedient, we will see the victory that the Israelites saw in 1 Samuel 7:10: "While Samuel was sacrificing the burnt offering, the Philistines drew near to engage Israel in battle. But that day the LORD thundered with loud thunder against the Philistines and threw them into such a panic that they were routed before the Israelites."

When the Lord thunders, the enemy panics! But then so do we if we have not been fully obedient. What happened was that God's people had fasted and repented, and then God did what was necessary. He won the battle for them. Hallelujah!

When the Glory of the Lord Appears, Where Will We Be?

I believe this whole story is a message for God's people today. Many words are coming forth about the Glory returning to the Church, and we rejoice, but we must have that holy fear, too. A verse from our story reminds us of that:

"Who can stand in the presence of the LORD, this holy God?" (1 Samuel 6:20).

Maybe it is time to remember the words of Ezra and of Malachi.

Ezra 9:15 "O LORD, God of Israel, You are righteous! We are left this day as a remnant. Here we are before You in our guilt, though because of it not one of us can stand in Your presence."

Malachi 3:2 "But who can endure the day of His coming? Who can stand when He appears? For He will be like a refiner's fire or a launderer's soap."

When the glory appears and the Lord reclaims His Church, where will I be? Where will you be? Will I be rejoicing and know without any doubt that I have done what He has asked me to do? I hope so.

When the Lord reclaims His Church, where will my neighbors be? Alive or dead? That is my responsibility. I know that we are not all called to be evangelists, but we are all called to pray continually (see 1 Thessalonians 5:17). Do I do that? Do you? When we are in a grocery store, at the checkout, in a traffic jam, on the bus, walking in the park, are we praying for those we can see? If I don't pray for my butcher, baker, bank clerk, taxi driver, cinema manager, then who will?

I know there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (see Romans 8:1), and I don't want to be a killjoy, but I do believe it is time for much of the Church, that's you and me, to repent of lethargy, to repent of allowing the enemy to rule over us for so long, to allow the Holy Spirit to stir the flame, and to become what Jesus wants.

He wants His Church back – a beautiful Bride full of passion for her coming Husband. The Church is me, the Church is you, the Church is wherever two or three are gathered in His name. Let's become that beautiful Bride together.
