The Battle under the Leadership of Joshua and the City of Ai
Additionally, it should not go unmentioned that Joshua and the people of Israel entered a battle with the men from the city of Ai in the Promised Land.
Due to the misconduct of Achan (Note: means ‘troublesome, grief’), who stole things from the spoils dedicated to God from the ‘first fruit city’ of Jericho, the people of Israel lost to the men of the city of Ai and had thirty-six dead warriors to mourn (cf. Joshua 7:2-5.11-12).
Joshua 7:1-5.11-12:
1 But the Israelites were unfaithful in regard to the devoted things; Achan son of Karmi, the son of Zimri, the son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, took some of them. So the Lord’s anger burned against Israel.
2 Now Joshua sent men from Jericho to Ai, which is near Beth Aven to the east of Bethel, and told them, ‘Go up and spy out the region.’ So the men went up and spied out Ai.
3 When they returned to Joshua, they said, ‘Not all the army will have to go up against Ai. Send two or three thousand men to take it and do not weary the whole army, for only a few people live there.’
4 So about three thousand went up; but they were routed by the men of Ai, 5 who killed about thirty-six of them. They chased the Israelites from the city gate as far as the stone quarries and struck them down on the slopes. At this the hearts of the people melted in fear and became like water. …
11 Israel has sinned; they have violated my covenant, which I commanded them to keep. They have taken some of the devoted things; they have stolen, they have lied, they have put them with their own possessions.
12 That is why the Israelites cannot stand against their enemies; they turn their backs and run because they have been made liable to destruction. I will not be with you anymore unless you destroy whatever among you is devoted to destruction.
In the context of ‘artificial intelligence’ or ‘AI’, the city of Ai in the land of promise and its root word can be used to recognize a satanic plan of destruction that the adversary is pursuing with humanity.
The root word of the Hebrew name ‘Ai’ is ‘’āwāh’ and means ‘to transgress, to sin, to act perversely, to act twistedly in the form of perverted, to degenerate’. (Note: Explanation of the Hebrew root word ‘’āwāh’ of the name ‘Ai’ taken from the Elberfelder Study Bible with the word key number: 5868)
Achan can be equated with believers who have their focus solely on gain and influence, and ultimately, regrettably, no matter the cost or the ‘art’ involved. The pride of the flesh, as mentioned earlier, does not allow them to realize that they are the deceived ones.
The thirty-six or so dead men in the first battle against the city of Ai should serve as a warning to us that the dynamics of artificial intelligence ‘AI’ from a carnally evolved dimension in the seed of the serpent will become a curse to humanity, as well as bring us down if we as ecclesia do not take a stand in accordance with God's will (Note: 6 x 6 = human action in full agreement with artificial intelligence brings forth curse).
Let us remind ourselves that there are already countless ways in which AI is used in today's modern warfare which, from a military point of view, can be classified as a kind of curse for human beings. For years now, there have been drones equipped with ‘AI’ that can shoot at, contaminate or ignite people, aircraft, vehicles or buildings in areas without being linked and without a verifiable command. Since the first successful deployments of these types of drones in recent years, demand and production have increased on the global market.
This means that these drones are used in a targeted manner to destroy people or places using an ‘independent type of targeting’ with the help of ‘AI’, while they cannot be assigned to a human order, so that someone such as the military of a particular nation, a military unit or an intelligence service could be held accountable. How much leeway or margin this lack of order provides for all sorts of fake news and the deliberate spread of panic information should be somewhat obvious to everyone. Who benefits from such a plan to kill?
In what respectable and ethically comprehensible strategies for the defense of human rights still count here? What story can the surviving relatives of the deceased still believe and tell their loved ones if it was no one, or possibly the one they are supposed to believe, or just a technical calculation error that cannot be attributed to anyone? (cf. Psalm 36:1-3 i.c.w. Proverbs 6:16-19).
Psalm 36:1-3:
1 I have a message from God in my heart concerning the sinfulness of the wicked: There is no fear of God before their eyes.
2 In their own eyes they flatter themselves too much to detect or hate their sin.
3 The words of their mouths are wicked and deceitful; they fail to act wisely or do good.
Proverbs 6:16-19:
16 There are six things the Lord hates, seven that are detestable to him: 17 haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, 18 a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush into evil, 19 a false witness who pours out lies and a person who stirs up conflict in the community.
Finally, Joshua receives the strategy and the commission from God to take action a second time against the city of Ai and its initiator, the king, which ultimately leads to a victory for the people of Israel over the king and the inhabitants of Ai (cf. Joshua 8:1-2.26-29).
Joshua 8:1-2.26-29:
1 Then the Lord said to Joshua, ‘Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Take the whole army with you, and go up and attack Ai. For I have delivered into your hands the king of Ai, his people, his city and his land.
2 You shall do to Ai and its king as you did to Jericho and its king, except that you may carry off their plunder and livestock for yourselves. Set an ambush behind the city.’ …
26 For Joshua did not draw back the hand that held out his javelin until he had destroyed all who lived in Ai.
27 But Israel did carry off for themselves the livestock and plunder of this city, as the Lord had instructed Joshua.
28 So Joshua burned Ai and made it a permanent heap of ruins, a desolate place to this day.
29 He impaled the body of the king of Ai on a pole and left it there until evening. At sunset, Joshua ordered them to take the body from the pole and throw it down at the entrance of the city gate. And they raised a large pile of rocks over it, which remains to this day.
Call to Action
Our prayer is that the saints as ecclesia in Europe will understand to what extent these greatly accelerated ‘AI’ applications and ongoing developments are already having an effect socially (!) and that Heavenly Father will decisively warn us against them.
Not because we are asked about our personal view of what man is and whether man and woman as both sexes belong to our faith as established by God as Creator at birth, but because we have to stand up for the indivisible truth of God’s Word in daily prayers, our initiative in everyday life and social areas of life before it is too late (cf. Jeremiah 21:12 i.c.w. Psalm 149:6-9).
Jeremiah 21:12:
12 This is what the Lord says to you, house of David: ‘ “Administer justice every morning; rescue from the hand of the oppressor the one who has been robbed, or my wrath will break out and burn like fire because of the evil you have done – burn with no-one to quench it. …”

Psalm 149:6-9:
6 May the praise of God be in their mouths and a double-edged sword in their hands, 7 to inflict vengeance on the nations and punishment on the peoples, 8 to bind their kings with fetters, their nobles with shackles of iron, 9 to carry out the sentence written against them – this is the glory of all his faithful people. Praise the Lord.

Praise the Lord.
It is essential that we take action NOW. The living God, our LORD and King of the universe wants to see us, His bride, stand in faith and produce works of righteousness (cf. Revelation 19:8).
Revelation 19:8:
8 Fine linen, bright and clean, was given her to wear.’ (Fine linen stands for the righteous acts of God’s holy people.)

Anyone who takes a closer look at ‘AI’ and conducts research or has direct personal contact with IT experts will no doubt realize that the many wondrous achievements of this technological application are enormous, revolutionary and incredibly fast and time-saving.
However, without legal regulation and regulation by trustworthy structures based on biblical principles, they do not represent any gain for us humans, just as developers of artificial intelligence have repeatedly demanded worldwide for years that it must be regulated in order to truly protect people in their dignity. If IT-developers with insider knowledge as well as renowned whistleblowers with years of expertise in dealing with artificial intelligence are already warning against this, what should this tell us as lovers of God?
The rapid developments in image, sound and video processing by ‘AI’ alone lead to many unanswered questions regarding our ability to check the truthfulness of information and virtually shared content now and in the future. This is reminiscent of the prophecy suggested in the letter to Timothy with regard to people turning to fables, which in ancient Greek can also be translated as ‘mythos’, i.e. myths. These are myths that will interest people more than the truth.
This may not be unusual for many, but what about us as disciples of Christ? How will we be different from people if we are not committed to the truth? What gospel are we proclaiming if we allow ‘AI’ to supposedly ‘help’ us with this, but in which there is no truth or a distorted, counterfeit truth to be found? What exactly are we worshipping by being fascinated and enthusiastic about it, investing our attention and time in it, when it is nothing true or holy at all, and God is not in it?
How do we discern truth from deception in the future if we use the source of deception to seek truth instead of asking the One who alone is truth (cf. John 4:24)?
John 4:24:
‘… 24 God is spirit, and his worshippers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.’
Beloved in Christ, let’s not fool ourselves: It is just not an instrument controlled by just our ‘clicking’, opening an app or turning it on and off to effectively help us humans in different areas of life like the invention of the car, the washer-dryer combo or an air conditioner that turns itself on at a set temperature. Perhaps we recognize that those days are long gone?
It should therefore be understandable for us to be as consciously vigilant and cautious as possible in our use of ‘AI’ applications. We should check each application to see to what extent we use it for what purpose and limit it in terms of time.
Finally, we turn to an essential aspect that may be particularly troubling to saints already in ministry when dealing with believers who are less sober and cautious in their use of ‘AI’ and social media. We are seeing more and more secular culture entering the body of Christ, manifested in a desire for constant shortcuts, quick results and instant fixes or stimulation.
Many young believers lack much insight in recognizing the truth that waiting and meeting something with patience has to do with God’s very nature and therefore His glory.
It is quite dangerous when people think they can dictate to the Spirit of God when He should move and how effectively or quickly, He should move. This is not an attitude of great faith to be glossed over, but in itself the arrogant and carnal mindset that gives Satan access to us, our relationships, gatherings and ultimately life decisions (cf. John 10:10a).
John 10:10a:
10a The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; …
There is not enough space here for the references in the Word of God regarding our need to wait upon God, but those who study the Word of God and love the daily intimacy of the Holy Spirit, and never hasty, Spirit know this truth that keeps us in spiritual walk in obedience to the Lord.
Let no power or influence be allowed to interfere with our sensitivity and devotion in the Holy Spirit to keep us in worship in spirit and truth before the Father.
We want to sow and reap in the Spirit, not in the power of our soul, and this while we are surrounded by the end-time frenzy of digital ID as virtual identity, shocks in systems and also ‘AI’ used against us (cf. Galatians 6:7 i.c.w. Titus 1:15-16).
Galatians 6:7:
7 Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.
Titus 1:15-16:
15 To the pure, all things are pure, but to those who are corrupted and do not believe, nothing is pure. In fact, both their minds and consciences are corrupted.
16 They claim to know God, but by their actions they deny him. They are detestable, disobedient and unfit for doing anything good.
Therefore, let us watch and pray, where no ‘AI’ can help us, keeping our hearts and our minds to want to stand before our one and only living God, to give Him the glory, even if we do not approve of everything that excites and fascinates people in this time.
‘If anyone does not love the Lord, let him be accursed. Maranata!’ summarizes almost everything we have to say about artificial intelligence in one apostolic sentence, as here in 1 Corinthians 16:22. The word ‘marạna thạ’ is from the Aramaic and means ‘The Lord is approaching!’ or ‘The Lord is coming!’
Amen and Amen.
In His Wisdom,
