In connection with the sending of the raven and the dove by Noah (Note: means ‘rest, comfort’) after the Flood, the waters of God’s righteousness, these were decisive. They were necessary for the ark to settle on God’s predestined height of Mount Ararat (cf. Genesis 8:4-5).

Genesis 8:4-5:
… 4 and on the seventeenth day of the seventh month the ark came to rest on the mountains of Ararat.
5 The waters continued to recede until the tenth month, and on the first day of the tenth month the tops of the mountains became visible.

Here we can clearly see that it was not Noah who chose the place to settle, but God, by causing the waters to recede. The name ‘Ararat’ is translated ‘mirror’, which is a reference to reflection by faith (cf. 2 Corinthians 3:18).

2 Corinthians 3:18:
18 And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate [Note: like in a mirror] the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.

Noah’s Ark and the Spirit of God

Furthermore, the ark moved on or above the water in a similar way to the way the Spirit of God moved when the heavens and earth were created (cf. Genesis 1:1-2).

Genesis 1:1-2:
1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
2 Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.

Since we are not looking for a permanent place on earth, but for the everlasting one to come and the ark was ‘a vehicle of transition’ for Noah, his family and the animals, moving with the dynamics of the water, it reveals the importance of walking in the Spirit in connection with the right spiritual perspective to us today (cf. Romans 12:2 i.c.w. Hebrews 13:14).

Romans 12:2:
2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – his good, pleasing and perfect will.

Hebrews 13:14:
14 For here we do not have an enduring city, but we are looking for the city that is to come.
For everyone who is born of the Spirit, this means that we do not know the starting point of the Holy Spirit as well as His destination (cf. John 3:7-8).

John 3:7-8:
7 You should not be surprised at my saying, “You must be born again.”
8 The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.’

For every believer in Christ Jesus who is born of the will of God, this means that you become a momentum of the Holy Spirit through the influence of the Spirit of God, because you reveal His work through your walk before men. If we open ourselves to the Holy Spirit and allow Him to work through us.

To this end, it is important that we allow the Spirit of prophecy, which is the testimony of Jesus, to work through our prophetic empowerment, which we have received by grace (cf. Revelation 19:10e).

Revelation 19:10e:
‘... 10e For it is the Spirit of prophecy who bears testimony to Jesus.’

The Open Window and the Gift of Prophecy

This prophetic ability is similar to the window that Noah made for the ark in order to use it later, namely to allow the raven and the dove to fly (cf. Genesis 8:6-8 i.c.w. 1 Corinthians 14:1).

Genesis 8:6-8:
6 After forty days Noah opened a window he had made in the ark 7 and sent out a raven, and it kept flying to and forth until the water had dried up from the earth.
8 Then he sent out a dove to see if the water had receded from the surface of the ground.

1 Corinthians 14:1:
1 Follow the way of love and eagerly desire gifts of the Spirit, especially prophecy.

It is no coincidence that the birds were created before man, namely on the fifth day of creation, and in this context point to a certain quality of the spirit.

In sending out the raven and the dove that followed, Noah initiated a phase of ‘contrast’ or opposition in the spiritual realm, in which we can find the meaning of our voluntary agreement or denial according to the biblical values in the form of our ‘Yes!’ and ‘No!’ (cf. Matthew 5:37).

Matthew 5:37:
37 All you need to say is simply “Yes,” or “No”; anything beyond this comes from the evil one.

A contrast denotes, for example, the difference between light and dark areas or colours within a picture or image. It is necessary that we move in the spirit of prophecy with the spiritual quality given to us by God in order to have the right perspective on the respective circumstances.

Only this helps us to correctly assess and evaluate complex circumstances from a spiritual perspective in a neutral way (Note: without emotional distortions) and in the sobriety of the spirit (cf. 1 Peter 5:8a).

1 Peter 5:8a:
8a Be alert and of sober mind. …

Jesus also admonished His disciples to ‘watch’ and be active in prayer in order to offer holy resistance to the deception of the adversary (cf. Matthew 26:41a).

Matthew 26:41a
41a ‘Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. …

The word ‘to watch’ means to observe what comes out of yourself or other people and to pay attention to what is happening in the world around you.

Mount Ararat and the New Time

God, who is Spirit, led the ark to one of the mountain peaks of Mount Ararat, which is also an indication of being positioned at the right time of God (cf. John 4:24a).

John 4:24a:
24a God is spirit, …

The word used in Hebrew for peak or head (Note: Hebrew ‘rō'š’) goes hand in hand with the beginning of a biblical month or year which is Rosh Chodesh, Rosh Ha-Shanah. In such time frames, it is advisable and wise to put aside the past, i.e. to let go of the past and be ready to enter the new time with God.

The emphasis here is on spiritual consistency and developing the fruit of the Spirit in the form of patience. This is what the raven can point to in this context, among other things.

As already mentioned, the name ‘Noah’ means ‘rest, comfort’ and can be a reference to Christ Jesus, who is the Lord of the day of rest – the Sabbath (cf. Matthew 12:8).

Matthew 12:8:
‘… 8 For the Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath.’

Since both the raven and the dove have wings, they point to different powers of the Spirit, such as the raven, which refers to consistency, faithfulness and patience in the life of a believer. The dove, on the other hand, should serve as an indication of the presence of the Holy Spirit in connection with humility, who always takes from Christ to reveal the truth in the respective moment or phase (cf. John 16:13-15).

John 16:13-15:
13 But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.
14 He will glorify me because it is from me that he will receive what he will make known to you.
15 All that belongs to the Father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will receive from me what he will make known to you.’

The Olive Tree and the Dimension of God’s Rest

In this case, it was in God’s interest to reveal the hidden revelatory truth about the Messianic body of Christ in the form of the olive tree from the dimension of God’s rest as Noah waited seven days when sending out the dove (cf. Genesis 8:10-12 i.c.w. Romans 11:17-18).

Genesis 8:10-12:
10 He waited seven more days and again sent out the dove from the ark.
11 When the dove returned to him in the evening, there in its beak was a freshly plucked olive leaf! Then Noah knew that the water had receded from the earth.
12 He waited seven more days and sent the dove out again, but this time it did not return to him.

Romans 11:17-18:
17 If some of the branches have been broken off, and you, though a wild olive shoot, have been grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing sap from the olive root, 18 do not consider yourself to be superior to those other branches. If you do, consider this: you do not support the root, but the root supports you.

=> The understanding of God’s rest that includes resting in the finished work of Christ is a blessed perspective. Furthermore, one of the greatest blessings in a person’s life is to discover that Jesus Christ has truly won the victory and that we simply need to trust Him in this regard (cf. John 19:30 i.c.w. 1 Corinthians 15:54-57).

John 19:30:
30 When he had received the drink, Jesus said, ‘It is finished.’ With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.

1 Corinthians 15:54-57:
54 When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written (cf. Isaiah 25:8; Hosea 13:14) will come true: ‘Death has been swallowed up in victory.’
55 ‘Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?’
56 The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.
57 But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Every believer should definitely enter into this rest in Christ.
However, even if we truly understand all that Jesus Christ has accomplished for us and experience His rest spiritually, we can still at certain times become physically and emotionally exhausted.

God is not only interested in our spiritual side, but He wants to bless us in every area of our lives, because He created man as threefold, namely with one spirit, one soul and one body.
It is God longing for us to enter into His rest, and not just in a spiritual or theological way, but in a way that including enjoying His presence and joy each week (cf. Mark 2:27).

Mark 2:27:
27 Then he (Note: Jesus Christ) said to them, ‘The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath.

Therefore, God has prepared special times for us personally as well as for our families so that we may rest by receiving the restoration of our strength.

This means times that have been specially prepared for us so that we can receive God’s goodness and new strength and thus be able to move forward and overcome the obstacles in order to follow our destiny. God wants us to stop at His special time and take time to remember that He is good (cf. Psalm 103:2).

Psalm 103:2:
2 Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits – … <=

(Note: The text set in ‘=>’ is based on the theme of God’s rest from the book ‘A Time To Advance’ (ISBN-13: 978-0-9791678-3-6; Glory Of Zion International) by Chuck D. Pierce with Robert and Linda Heidler).

In this context, the continuous flight of the raven at the time of Noah should serve us. In our spiritual walk of consistency and patience, we are dependent on the presence of the ‘dove’, i.e. the Holy Spirit, coming into our spiritual sphere in the dynamic of God’s rest in order to strengthen us in our walk of the Spirit, so that we find the sustenance of the prophets in the form of ‘the manna of heaven’ in the spiritual sphere and in this way increase in strength in our spiritual man (cf. Genesis 8:6-8 i.c.w. Matthew 3:16b; John 6:51; 1 Kings 17:4-6).

Genesis 8:6-8:
6 After forty days Noah opened a window he had made in the ark 7 and sent out a raven, and it kept flying to and forth until the water had dried up from the earth.
8 Then he sent out a dove to see if the water had receded from the surface of the ground.

Matthew 3:16b:
… 16b At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on him.

John 6:51:
51 I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats this bread will live for ever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.’

1 Kings 17:4-6:
4 You will drink from the brook, and I have instructed the ravens to supply you with food there.’
5 So he did what the Lord had told him. He went to the Kerith Ravine, east of the Jordan, and stayed there.
6 The ravens brought him bread and meat in the morning and bread and meat in the evening, and he drank from the brook.

The Two Birds and the Day of Mercy

In connection with the head area (Note: Hebrew ‘rō'š’) of the Beloved from the Song of Songs, which represents Jesus Christ, with the black plumage of the raven and the white plumage of the dove, it reveals to us that these are connected with the curls and the eyes of the LORD (cf. Song of Songs 5:11-12).

Song of Songs 5:11-12:
11 His head is purest gold; his hair is wavy and black as a raven.
12 His eyes are like doves by the water streams, washed in milk, mounted like jewels.

This includes a supernatural understanding of the mysteries of God’s Word (Note: curls => scrolls) and the right prophetic pure vision through the Spirit of wisdom and revelation based on pure faith (Note: gold; cf. Ephesians 1:17-18 i.c.w. Revelation 3:18a).

Ephesians 1:17-18:
17 I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better.
18 I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, …

Revelation 3:18a:
18a I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so that you can become rich; …

It is no coincidence that Noah used the creation of the fifth day - the birds - to check whether the water of the time of judgment decreased or not (cf. Genesis 1:20-23).

Genesis 1:20-23:
20 And God said, “Let the water teem with living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the vault of the sky.”
21 So God created the great creatures of the sea and every living thing with which the water teems and that moves about in it, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.
22 God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the water in the seas, and let the birds increase on the earth.”
23 And there was evening, and there was morning – the fifth day.

Through this sending of Noah, there was a so-called locating between the day of mercy and the day of judgment. It was the day of mercy that finished the judgment and announced the new day in creation.

This means in a prophetic context that Noah acted in the power of the grace of God which is represented by the number 5, and sent out both birds after the mountain tops became visible on the 11’th day of the biblical month ‘Av’. This biblical month means ‘fullness, fruit, father’.

Noah opened a new spiritual ‘window of time’ and by releasing the ‘contrast’ (Note: raven => black plumage; dove => white plumage) created a new day of grace amid the Father’s fullness.

In this context the black raven with its wings represents the evening and the white dove with its wings represents the day. Both birds are an indication of a spiritual time frame of the Father’s care.

It was the bird species of the raven that provided during a famine on God’s behalf at the brook Kerith for the prophet Elijah. And it was the bird species of the dove, whose form the Holy Spirit chose to settle on Jesus during His baptism, so that He went full of the Holy Spirit into the desert for testing (cf. 1 Kings 17:3-4 i.c.w. Luke 3:21-22; Luke 4:1).

1 Kings 17:3-4:
3 “Leave here, turn eastward and hide in the Kerith Ravine, east of the Jordan.
4 You will drink from the brook, and I have directed the ravens to supply you with food there.”

Luke 3:21-22:
21 When all the people were being baptized, Jesus was baptized too. And as he was praying, heaven was opened 22 and the Holy Spirit descended on him in bodily form like a dove. And a voice came from heaven: “You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased.”

Luke 4:1:
1 Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, left the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, …

It is the Holy Spirit through whom we proclaim the Father in the spirit of Christ’s sonship and get to know the Father (cf. Romans 8:15 i.c.w. Galatians 4:6).

Romans 8:15:
15 The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.”

Galatians 4:6:
6 Because you are his sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, “Abba, Father.”

Accordingly, through Noah, God manifested a new time frame of His grace, which was covered with His fatherly fullness, because with God the day begins with the evening and Noah also sent out the raven first and shortly afterwards a dove (cf. Genesis 1:1-5).

Genesis 1:1-5:
1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
2 Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.
3 And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.
4 God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness.
5 God called the light “day,” and the darkness he called “night.” And there was evening, and there was morning – the first day.

May this open window and the dynamics of God’s Spirit be felt in our lives in all that goes on in the fullness of God’s grace in this time of transition.

Amen and Amen.

PROPHESIED ON THE 07’th/12’th OF JUNE 2024 | 01’st/07’th OF SIVAN 5784, 2’nd DAY OF SHAVUOT, NAJOTH BERLIN – SPANDAU

“There is a sound in my ears that I hear! It is a loud sound, the fullness of rain! And because of that sound, the prophet prophesied to the government that was standing in its ‘seventh position’!
They do not know that the Father is behind it! The love of the Father is behind it, says the spirit of the prophet!

And the LORD says: ‘I am not speaking to this nation! I am speaking to the continent called Europe! I said that on Sunday you would see a great shift that is causing a shaking!
There is a movement in the political realm!
Kings are coming and kings are going because there is a shift of the ‘seventh king’!’

The Spirit of the prophet speaks in the Spirit of the fear of the LORD in the past tense!
Because the prophet spoke and commanded the government to make a shift and act in a new way, the political arena will no longer look as it was seen before (cf. 1 Kings 18:41-46)!
There are many shifts in the heavens! There are many shifts in the waters!

They think it's about the ‘fish’ and that’s right but they don’t understand that it’s about the boat under the water! Look at this boat! It is making a shift because nations are about to shift! It’s happening behind the ‘scenes’! It’s behind the curtain!
The decisions have already been made! Society has not seen it but they will recognize it! The reason for this is because the prophet heard the fullness of the outpouring of rain, says the spirit of the prophet!

And the LORD says, ‘You will begin to see the quickening and the preparation of My Ecclesia through their intercession because of My Word!
I have seen their ‘sevenfold movement’! I have seen it, and it is established! And because it has happened, I AM responding! I AM responding! I AM the reaction! I AM the one who takes action!

There is a ‘Who?’ and there is a ‘Why?’ I do not answer these questions because the answer is in the action!
They all look at the surface of the water, but I say that I AM under the waters! I AM in the waters!
They expect the ship to be on the water, but it is under the water!

I bring a new beginning before it is expected in time! I do it before their time!
By ‘’theirs’ I mean the wicked! I AM taking action before they act because the head and the sound are between the knees of the prophet!
You will see prayer and intercession intensified because of My vibration and sound!

I AM working from the inside out! I begin from the right and from the left! Synchronously I will accomplish it! It is One in Two! It is the One in Two!
You will see My hand! It seems small, but it is powerful! It is the power of My grace that brings the shift!’
There is one shift and there comes a second!
There is one knee and the other knee!
It’s about right positioning and being adequately prepared!
It is God’s answer to His Ecclesia for praying according to His will!

It seems that they are ‘emptying’ Germany, but the condition is only present because My outpouring is coming! I will fill the ‘emptiness’ (cf. 2 Kings 3:16-17, 20)!
They expect a revival of the economy, but the LORD says: ‘It is a revival of the spirit! The reformation is coming!
In the way it happened at the time of Luther, I will do it in a greater way through the body of My Ecclesia on earth!’

They all look to the nations and it is a network of light! Everywhere!
The glory of God is appearing! The words of the prophet Habakkuk are manifesting!
God will show His glory! God will respond to the ‘He-Prophets’, says the spirit of the prophet!

Look into the scroll of Haggai (cf. Haggai 2:6-9)! Look into the scroll of Habakkuk (cf. Habakkuk 2:14)! Everything is already written! Everything is already planned! Read it and thank Me for what I have already decreed, says the LORD!

And we thank you Father for the glory that covers the earth as the waters cover the sea!
The LORD says: ‘I love the ‘harlot’! Did she not live in the upper room in the wall?
She ‘understood’ how to use the ‘blood’!
It’s all about how you see things!’

Look from God’s plan of redemption because then you come into contact with His redemptive power!

Wasn’t it Joshua with the army of the Most High who took the harlot Rahab!
Yes, it is all about redemption (cf. Joshua 2:1, 12-14, 17-21; Joshua 6:25)!
There are some in ‘Babylon’ and who are still part of ‘the harlot’, but they will come out in obedience and be saved because they are in the presence of the blood of the Lamb, says the spirit of the prophet (cf. Revelation 17:1-2.4-5)!

You are in the world but not of the world (cf. John 17:15-16)!
I want to see the ‘red cord’ in your eyes! Where are your tears, says the LORD?

And the Spirit of the prophet says: ‘You cannot do it of yourselves! It is the Spirit of the LORD! He will help us to weep (cf. Romans 8:26-27)!”

Amen and Amen.

In His Wisdom,

Daniel Glimm

From Matthew 14:22-27 we can see that after Jesus multiplied the five loaves and two fish, He told His disciples to go to the other side of the lake, while He went alone to a mountain. And he went there to speak with the Heavenly Father.

In the fourth watch of the night, Jesus then appeared to His disciples walking on the water, so that they were frightened and thought they saw a ghost. When Jesus noticed this, He told His disciples not to be afraid.

Matthew 14:22-27:
22 Immediately Jesus made the disciples get into the boat and go on ahead of him to the other side, while he dismissed the crowd.
23 After he had dismissed them, he went up on a mountainside by himself to pray. Later that night, he was there alone, 24 and the boat was already a considerable distance from land, buffeted by the waves because the wind was against it.
25 Shortly before dawn Jesus went out to them, walking on the lake.
26 When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. ‘It’s a ghost,’ they said, and cried out in fear.
27 But Jesus immediately said to them: ‘Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.’

Jesus on the Mountain and the New Beginning of Time

Because God the Father is Spirit (cf. John 4:24a) and the beginning of time corresponds to the top of a mountain, it can be said that Jesus brought forth a new phase of time according to the will of the Father. This new phase of time was accompanied by a greater spiritual quality and a greater measure of blessing.

The reason for this is that, according to the biblical Hebrew view, the beginning of the new biblical year in God’s cycle of blessing is called ‘Rosh ha-Shanah’, which means ‘top/head of the year’.

It was therefore no coincidence that a multiplication of bread took place before Jesus went up the mountain. Strikingly, there were twelve baskets of bread left over and He instructed His twelve disciples to get into the boat and cross the lake to the other shore, indicating a transition (cf. Matthew 14:20-23).

Matthew 14:20-23:
20 They all ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up twelve basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over.
21 The number of those who ate was about five thousand men, besides women and children.
22 Immediately Jesus made the disciples get into the boat and go on ahead of him to the other side, while he dismissed the crowd.
23 After he had dismissed them, he went up on a mountainside by himself to pray. Later that night, he was there alone, …

This number of the ‘double twelve’ can be seen as an indication of the quality of each biblical month within the biblical year. The LORD longs for us to taste His goodness and kindness within each biblical month in Christ Jesus, as the living bread (cf. Psalm 34:8).

Psalm 34:8:
8 Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.

The result of ‘tasting the times’ through the truth of God’s Word, which is Christ Jesus, is that we discern the will and plan of the Heavenly Father in the time at hand as we reach out to what lies ahead.

This is similar to the actions of the twelve disciples who, during the time of the headwind, set their oars into the water, namely their future, in mutual coordination in order to bring it into their present and bring a visitation of God into their time by doing so (cf. Matthew 14:24 i.c.w. Mark 6:48).

Matthew 14:24:
…, 24 and the boat was already a considerable distance from land, buffeted by the waves because the wind was against it.

Mark 6:48:
48 He saw the disciples straining at the oars, because the wind was against them. Shortly before dawn he went out to them, walking on the lake. He was about to pass by them, …

The God-appointed Moment of Visitation

It is the moment set by God in our time in which the LORD wants to let His eternal plan flow into our temporary time. In this context, it is inevitable that the Lord will appear in a new facet in a challenging phase that requires us to respond to His presence in faith like Peter. It was Peter who decided to enter into conversation with Christ Jesus in the new facet he did not know, which meant that he left his surroundings represented by the boat and entered into the presence of the Son of God (cf. Matthew 14:28-29).

Matthew 14:28-29:
28 ‘Lord, if it’s you,’ Peter replied, ‘tell me to come to you on the water.’
29 ‘Come,’ he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came towards Jesus.

Since Jesus Christ, is the perfect expression of God’s love and God’s love casts out all fear, it is crucial for us as believers in Christ to draw near to Him, even if His visitation seems unusual to us or even scary at the time (cf. John 3:16 i.c.w. James 4:8a; 1 John 4:18).

John 3:16:
16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

James 4:8a:
8a Come near to God and he will come near to you. …

1 John 4:18:
18 There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.

This appearance includes, among other things, the call to walk in the supernatural realm, which presupposes life in the Spirit (cf. Galatians 5:16 i.c.w. Colossians 3:1-4).

Galatians 5:16a:
16a So I say, live by the Spirit, …

Colossians 3:1-4:
1 Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.
2 Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.
3 For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.
4 When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.

The Prophet Elijah and God’s Call to Come Out

The prophet Elijah was also called by God to step out of his realm of loneliness and fear in order to go to Mount Horeb (cf. 1 Kings 19:7-10).

1 Kings 19:7-10:
7 The angel of the Lord came back a second time and touched him and said, “Get up and eat, for the journey is too much for you.”
8 So he got up and ate and drank. Strengthened by that food, he traveled forty days and forty nights until he reached Horeb, the mountain of God.
9 There he went into a cave and spent the night. And the word of the Lord came to him: “What are you doing here, Elijah?”
10 He replied, “I have been very zealous for the Lord God Almighty. The Israelites have rejected your covenant, torn down your altars, and put your prophets to death with the sword. I am the only one left, and now they are trying to kill me too.”

During Elijah’s stay on the mountain, two areas of the prophet are addressed, which in this context are his spirit and his soul. The realm of the soul can be compared with Elijah’s stay in the cave and the realm of the spirit with Elijah’s stay on the mountain.

This is revealed by God’s question to Elijah when he was in the cave of the mountain, and God was asking him what he was doing in this place (cf. 1 Kings 19:9).

1 Kings 19:9:
9 There he went into a cave and spent the night. And the word of the Lord came to him: “What are you doing here, Elijah?”

Elijah’s answer reveals that he responded from his soul to the question of God, who is Spirit, and made a false statement to God. He was telling Him that he alone remained as a prophet. However, there were another seven thousand prophets whom the LORD preserved together with Elijah at the time of king Ahab (cf. 1 Kings 19:18 i.c.w. Romans 11:4).

1 Kings 19:18:
‘… 18 Yet I reserve seven thousand in Israel – all whose knees have not bowed down to Baal and whose mouths have not kissed him.’

Romans 11:4:
4 And what was God’s answer to him? ‘I have reserved for myself seven thousand who have not bowed the knee to Baal.’

To bring Elijah back into the spirit realm as a prophet, God called him -his spirit- to come out of the cave (Note: soul) and step onto the mountain (Note: spirit) to see God’s power and be prepared to recognize His visitation (cf. 1 Kings 19:10-12a).

1 Kings 19:10-12a:
10 He replied, “I have been very zealous for the Lord God Almighty. The Israelites have rejected your covenant, torn down your altars, and put your prophets to death with the sword. I am the only one left, and now they are trying to kill me too.”
11 The Lord said, “Go out and stand on the mountain in the presence of the Lord, for the Lord is about to pass by.” Then a great and powerful wind tore the mountains apart and shattered the rocks before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake.
12a After the earthquake came a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire. …

The Still, Gentle Whisper of God

When the LORD came in the presence of a still, gentle whisper, Elijah also decided in his soul to leave the place of the ‘soulish’ (Note: cave) and step to the entrance of the cave. As a result, Elijah covered his face or his five prophetic senses in terms of sight, taste, smell, hearing, feeling with the power of his prophetic mandate, represented by his mantle, so that these were activated in the will of God together with the divine presence in order to carry out God’s commission for the future (cf. 1 Kings 19:12b.13a.15-16).

1 Kings 19:12b.13a.15-16:
… 12b And after the fire came a gentle whisper.
13a When Elijah heard it, he pulled his cloak over his face and went out and stood at the mouth of the cave. …
15 The Lord said to him, “Go back the way you came, and go to the Desert of Damascus. When you get there, anoint Hazael king over Aram. 16 Also, anoint Jehu son of Nimshi king over Israel, and anoint Elisha son of Shaphat from Abel Meholah to succeed you as prophet.

This means that sometimes our soul gets in the way of the spirit and blocks it because we have a wrong view of things at the particular moment of God’s visitation, so God intervenes to bring us into the right spiritual balance, which means that our soul is completely submitted to the spirit. Only then in this way we are able to drive fear out of our sphere.

The Power of God and Five Events

The revelation of the power of God carries herein five different levels or events. These five events can also be transferred to us as saints. When we get into circumstances in life that are tough and challenging to us and our soul is shaken by emotional perception, it is wise to be aware of God’s five steps as well as His power and presence.

These five steps are made up as follows:

  1. the divine call to step out,
  2. the supernatural manifestation of a great strong wind that tore the mountains apart,
  3. an earthquake,
  4. a fire,
  5. a gentle breeze.

In this context, it is essential to realize that we must dwell in the revelatory truth of the Word of God, which is representative of Elijah’s stay on the mountain in the cave. We need to unite ourselves with the revelatory truth of God for this time to follow His call and find ourselves stepping out of the zone of intimidation and laziness due to fear.
The goal is that we ultimately stand under an open heaven and experience the very presence of God carrying the direction for our future.

In the prophetic context, the five different events that Elijah experienced on the mountain point to the following things.

  1. God’s call to step out of the cave and stand on the mountain => God’s call to move out of the zone of fear and self-protection by the power of the revelatory truth in order to see the heavens open and to feel God’s presence (cf. Matthew 5:14),
  2. a great, strong wind that tore the mountains apart => a high-ranking angelic movement that carries the Word of God and its revelatory truth for this time to destroy false doctrine and tyrannical rule (cf. Hebrews 1:7a; e.g. Michael, Gabriel; cf. Daniel 9:21; Daniel 10:21),
  3. an earthquake => awakening as well as making visible the inheritance of God in the region (cf. Matthew 27:51-53; Matthew 28:2),
  4. a fire => supernatural and passionate servant hood that reveals the greatness of God (cf. Hebrews 1:7b i.c.w. Matthew 23:11),
  5. a soft breeze => the presence of God that carries the direction of the future (cf. John 3:8; John 16:13-15).

These five events point out that it should be important for every individual saint to dwell in the revelatory truth of the Word of God and to respond to His Word. As a result, the Lord shows His power to encourage us to come closer to Him and His presence. The purpose of this is that we will witness how the Lord by His power pulls down false doctrine and tyrannical dominion to pave the way for His promise and servant hood.

As an effect, this approach gives us knowledge about what it means to stand in Jesus’ side or in Him as our entrance (Note: entrance of the cave/cleft in the rock => birthplace of the new wine skin; cf. John 10:9; John 19:34).

John 10:9:
9 I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. They will come in and go out, and find pasture.

John 19:34:
34 Instead, one of the soldiers pierced Jesus’ side with a spear, bringing a sudden flow of blood and water [Note: the sign of a birth].

Herein we learn to us our God-given anointing in our relationships to maintain the directive truth of the Spirit, which is connected with the directed dominion of God.

The Center of the Word of God

The Hebrew word used for ‘cave’, into which Elijah went, is the word ‘mĕ‛ārāh’, which is derived from the root word ‘`ārar’ and means ‘expose, grind, tear down’. (Note: part excerpt from the Elberfelder Study Bible on the Hebrew word ‘mĕ‛ārāh – cave’ and its root word ‘`ārar’ with the word key number 4708, 6334*)

This explanation helps us to understand that Elijah was in the center of the Word of God, formed by God to lay down his own view and receive God’s instruction from the mouth of the Son of God for the future (cf. Hebrews 4:12-13 i.c.w. Revelation 1:16).

Hebrews 4:12-13:
12 For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.
13 Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.

Revelation 1:16:
16 In his right hand he held seven stars, and coming out of his mouth was a sharp, double-edged sword. His face was like the sun shining in all its brilliance.

Therefore, learning from the way Elijah acted towards challenging circumstances, we too should always humbly react and respond to God’s command (Note: strategies) in tough seasons in order to secure our future and the next generation. At no time should we be afraid, but at all times show new courage and trust in our great God.

Amen and Amen.
