Kislev – The Month of ‘Thickness’
 
The biblical month of Kislev is the ninth month in the biblical calendar. It is the month of the ‘thick winter rain clouds’. The word ‘Kislev’ means ‘thick’.
 
This month is linked to the tribe of Benjamin (means ‘son of the right hand of God’). Benjamin was the twelfth son of Jacob and his youngest son.
 
Benjamin had special favor in the eyes of Joseph and got blessed in Egypt five times more than his older brothers (cf. Genesis 43:34).
 
Genesis 43:34:
34 When portions were served to them from Joseph’s table, Benjamin’s portion was five times as much as anyone else’s. So they feasted and drank freely with him.
 
Benjamin and Joseph
 
Benjamin is a sign for the Body of Christ on earth, because Joseph is a sign for Jesus Christ. Jesus became what we are so that we become what He is.
 
It was the will of the Heavenly Father to send His only begotten Son Jesus Christ into our sphere of life in order to give us the opportunity to be where He is (cf. Ephesians 2:6 i.c.w. Colossians 1:13-14; Colossians 3:1-4).

6 And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, …
 
Colossians 1:13-14:
13 For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, 14 in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
 
Colossians 3:1-4:
1 Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.
2 Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.
3 For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.
4 When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.
 
Jesus went before us to show the love of the Father in the world and to prepare a table in front of our enemies. The world is represented by Egypt (cf. Psalm 23:5).

5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
 
It was the Pharaoh by the grace of God who put Joseph after the interpretation of his dreams into the position of the authority of a father (cf. Genesis 45:8 i.c.w. Genesis 41:39-43).

8 “So then, it was not you who sent me here, but God. He made me father to Pharaoh, lord of his entire household and ruler of all Egypt.
 
Genesis 41:39-43:
39 Then Pharaoh said to Joseph, “Since God has made all this known to you, there is no one so discerning and wise as you.
40 You shall be in charge of my palace, and all my people are to submit to your orders. Only with respect to the throne will I be greater than you.”
41 So Pharaoh said to Joseph, “I hereby put you in charge of the whole land of Egypt.”
42 Then Pharaoh took his signet ring from his finger and put it on Joseph’s finger. He dressed him in robes of fine linen and put a gold chain around his neck.
43 He had him ride in a chariot as his second-in-command, and people shouted before him, “Make way!” Thus he put him in charge of the whole land of Egypt.
 
The Outward and Inward Anointing
 
The blessing of God gets activated in the presence of our enemies if we stay first in unity as saints in the relationship with God. Then God unlocks the outward anointing and then the inward anointing (cf. Psalm 23:5 i.c.w. Psalm 133:1-2).

5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.

A song of ascents. Of David.
1 How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!
2 It is like precious oil poured on the head, running down on the beard, running down on Aaron’s beard, down on the collar of his robe.
 
If we operate as Body of Christ in divine unity and doing the tasks of the Father by the Holy Spirit and allowing the truth of the Holy Spirit in us to increase then His truth flows out of us (cf. John 16:13).
 
John 16:13:
13 But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.
 
Seated Between the Shoulders of the Lord and Benjamin, the Wolf
 
Benjamin got blessed as a tribe by Moses to be seated between the shoulders of the Lord (cf. Deuteronomy 33:12).
 
Deuteronomy 33:12:
12 About Benjamin he said: “Let the beloved of the Lord rest secure in him, for he shields him all day long, and the one the Lord loves rests between his shoulders.”
 
This seat is the place where the anointing of divine kingship and priesthood is attached because the robe of a king/priest is affixed to the two shoulders and the anointing to the neck (cf. Isaiah 10:27).

27 And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off your shoulder, and his yoke from off your neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.
 
It was Benjamin who got blessed by his father Jacob to have the quality of a wolf who was able to make prey and to distribute the plunder (cf. Genesis 49:27).
 
Genesis 49:27:
27 “Benjamin is a ravenous wolf; in the morning he devours the prey, in the evening he divides the plunder.”
 
The Nighttime and the Favor of the Father for the Tribe of Benjamin
 
This shows that Benjamin was able to use the power of the new day in order to make prey and giving a blessing for the night to his people. The ability to make prey is linked to divine wisdom how to use the value of time even if the times are evil (cf. Ephesians 5:15-17).
 
Ephesians 5:15-17:
15 Be very careful, then, how you live – not as unwise but as wise, 16 making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.
17 Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.
 
Especially in the month of Kislev, that is the month linked to Benjamin, we should show our readiness to receive dreams/visions or get awaken by God during the night in order to get a strategy how to make ‘prey’, so that it becomes a blessing for us and our neighbors during the day.
 
Our given power and strength that is hidden for the public brings forth the result of blessing for others. This hiddenness points to the importance of the relationship with the Heavenly Father (cf. Matthew 6:6).
 
Matthew 6:6:
6 But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
 
The Four Night Watches and the Four Leprosy Men
 
The value of the night is hidden in the four night watches and they function similar as the four leprosy men at the gate in the time of Elisha where the city Samaria was besieged by the Arameans.
The four leprosy men brought in the midst of their ‘dark hour’ a message of hope to the king into the city of Samaria (see 2 Kings 7:3-11).
 
2 Kings 7:3-11:
3 Now there were four men with leprosy (Note: 4 quarters of a circle => representing the power of the full moon – full measure) at the entrance of the city gate. They said to each other, Why stay here until we die? 4 If we say, 'We'll go into the city’- the famine is there, and we will die. And if we stay here, we will die. So let's go over to the camp of the Arameans and surrender. If they spare us, we live; if they kill us, then we die.
5 At dusk they got up and went to the camp of the Arameans. When they reached the edge of the camp, not a man was there, 6 for the Lord had caused the Arameans to hear the sound of chariots and horses and a great army, so that they said to one another, Look, the king of Israel has hired the Hittite and Egyptian kings to attack us!
7 So they got up and fled in the dusk and abandoned their tents and their horses and donkeys. They left the camp as it was and ran for their lives.
8 The men who had leprosy reached the edge of the camp and entered one of the tents. They ate and drank, and carried away silver, gold and clothes, and went off and hid them. They returned and entered another tent and took some things from it and hid them also.
9 Then they said to each other, We're not doing right. This is a day of good news and we are keeping it to ourselves. If we wait until daylight, punishment will overtake us. Let's go at once and report this to the royal palace.
10 So they went and called out to the city gatekeepers and told them, We went into the Aramean camp and not a man was there – not a sound of anyone – only tethered horses and donkeys, and the tents left just as they were.
11 The gatekeepers shouted the news, and it was reported within the palace.
 
The First Night Watch – The Evening (‘ereb’) - 06:00 p.m. until 09:00 p.m. (cf. Genesis 19:1; Genesis 24:11.63; Exodus 27:21; 2 Samuel 11:2; 2 Kings 7:5; Ezra 9:5; Psalm 55:17-18; Matthew 14:15.23; Mark 1:32; John 20:19)
 
This night watch is linked to be separated from the world by coming to rest. It is the time to calm the heart and to meditate about God’s promises.
 
Isaac for example meditated/prayed in order to see his good future called ‘Rebekah’ coming (cf. Genesis 24:63).

63 He went out to the field one evening to meditate, 6 and as he looked up, he saw camels approaching.
 
The first night watch is the possibility to ask God for vision of the future.
 
The Second Night Watch – Midnight (night: ‘labil’; center: ‘chatsowth’) - 09:00 p.m. until 12:00 a.m. (cf. Exodus 11:4; Exodus 12:29; Numbers 11:9; Ruth 3:8; Matthew 25:6; Luke 11:5; Acts 16:25)
 
The second night watch is the time frame when God deals with the enemies of His children who try to prevent them from entering into His perfect plan for their lives.
 
It was the time at which the LORD allowed at midnight, all first born sons to die in the land of Egypt where He didn’t see the blood of the lamb at the doorposts of their houses (cf. Exodus 11:4, Exodus 12:29).
 
It is also the period when the righteous judgments of the Lord and words of thanksgiving are proclaimed, as it is revealed in Psalm 119:62: ‘At midnight I rise to give you thanks for your righteous laws.’
 
It is also the time to release declarations, which cut off the enemies from us.
 
The Third Night Watch – The Begin Of The Day (‘mishchar’; the time where the cook is crowing) – 12:00 a.m. until 03:00 a.m. (cf. Psalm 110:3; Mark 13:35)
 
During the third night watch much spiritual activity takes place.

This is a time when the Lord is giving more dreams.
 
It is a period that gives believers the possibility of taking authority over a spiritual covenant breaker, who stirs up doubts and unbelief as well as wants to break the direction of the way.
 
The habit of the cock in the east is to crow during the night at regular times. The ‘cock crowing’ was a sign in order to indicate a certain part of time (cf. Mark 13:35).
 
The Romans called it the last watch of the night. This watch could also be equated with ‘the daybreak’. This took place around three o’clock in the morning.
 
The Hebrews defined the period of the cock crowing by the designation of the words ‘the singing of the cock.’
 
The ‘cock crowing’ was an undefined hour of the night between midnight and morning (cf. Mark 13:35). It also is mentioned through all the Gospels in connection with the denial of Peter (cf. Matthew 26:34; Mark 14:30; Luke 22:34; John 13:38).
 
The crowing of the cock reminded Peter how simple it was to deny the Savior.
 
The Fourth Night Watch – The Morning (‘boqer’) - 03:00 a.m. until 06:00 a.m. (cf. Genesis 19:15; Exodus 30:7; Exodus 34:2; Joshua 6:12; Ruth 3:13-14; 2 Samuel 24:11; Nehemia 4:15; Matthew 14:25; Mark 1:35; John 21:4)
 
The fourth night watch is connected with the increasing morning light and daybreak. It is the last part of the night when the Lord prepares believers for the coming day.
 
This is the time to release declarations into your personal life, family, job/profession, community of saints/ministry, the environment and the future.
 
The night watches were created for one reason and this is to protect God’s people.
 
The Hebrew word for ‘morning’ refers to the day and also means the hour of the dawn or the time shortly thereafter (cf. Genesis 19:2; 2 Chronicles 36:15; Hosea 6:4; Luke 24:22).
 
Being a Part in order to Create the Rainbow
 
It is possible that we can create during the time of the night ‘the rainbow of the day’ that is linked to God’s promises. It means that if we transform our dreams during the day or react on them, God’s plan for our lives can be manifested.
 
The rainbow is a sign of God’s covenant with us and means that we will not have to war again with things that we faced in the past.
 
The Benjaminites – The Holy Bow Shooters
 
The people of the tribe of Benjamin were good archers and strong in their right and left arms. This means for us to decree or proclaim the Word of God by prophetic inspiration where the Lord allows us to do so.
 
In addition, the left side includes the call to go forward in faith and implement what you have been called to do by God here on earth. This goes hand in hand with the victory of God (cf. 1 Chronicles 8:40; 1 Chronicles 12:1-2 i.c.w. Psalm 118:16).

40 The sons of Ulam were brave warriors who could handle the bow. They had many sons and grandsons – 150 in all. All these were the descendants of Benjamin.

1 These were the men who came to David at Ziklag, while he was banished from the presence of Saul son of Kish (they were among the warriors who helped him in battle; 2 they were armed with bows and were able to shoot arrows or to sling stones right-handed or left-handed; they were relatives of Saul from the tribe of Benjamin): …

“… 16 The Lord’s right hand is lifted high; the Lord’s right hand has done mighty things!”
 
Examples of Divine Benjaminites
 
Mordechai as well as the apostle Paul were from the tribe of Benjamin (cf. Esther 2:5; Romans 11:1).

5 Now there was in the citadel of Susa a Jew of the tribe of Benjamin, named Mordecai son of Jair, the son of Shimei, the son of Kish, …
 
Romans 11:1:
1 I ask then: Did God reject his people? By no means! I am an Israelite myself, a descendant of Abraham, from the tribe of Benjamin.
 
These two examples clearly show that we can bring security and the good news into our assigned region where we are responsible.
 
The Increasing Fire of Mercy
 
The month of Kislev is as well the month of the increasing fire/light that is linked to the presence of the Holy Spirit as oil in us and the igniting fire and fiery oven of God through the love sacrifice of Jesus Christ at the cross. It is a time similar to the visitation of Abraham, where he saw the LORD as a fiery furnace in the midst of his prepared sacrifice (cf. Genesis 15:17).
 
Genesis 15:17:
17 When the sun had set and darkness had fallen, a smoking firepot with a blazing torch appeared and passed between the pieces.
 
The reason of it is because in the month of Kislev begins Hanukkah – the feast of dedication that goes along with fire.
 
Jesus also stayed in the Temple at the time of Hanukkah, pointing out the obedience of His sheep who know His voice and follow Him (cf. John 10:22-23, 27).
 
John 10:22-23.27:
22 Then came the Festival of Dedication (Note: Hanukkah) at Jerusalem. It was winter, 23 and Jesus was in the temple courts walking in Solomon’s Colonnade. …
27 My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.
 
Hanukkah carries the message that in the midst of destruction there is mercy. It is God who builds our future (cf. Ephesians 2:10 i.c.w. Jeremiah 29:11).

10 For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
 
Jeremiah 29:11:
11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
 
At Hanukkah the people of Israel remember the miracle of the thick liquid called ‘nephthar’ (Note: means ‘purification’) that was a pasty liquid found in a dry cistern by Nehemiah (cf. 2 Maccabees 1:19-20.35-36). It was previously hidden by the prophet Jeremiah (cf. 2 Maccabees 2:1) and would normally have lasted to burn for only one day. But it endured and burned marvellously eight days in the temple.

19 For when our ancestors were being led into captivity in Persia, devout priests at the time took some of the fire from the altar and hid it secretly in the hollow of a dry cistern, making sure that the place would be unknown to anyone. 20 Many years later, when it so pleased God, Nehemiah, commissioned by the king of Persia, sent the descendants of the priests who had hidden the fire to look for it. …
35 To those whom the king favored, he distributed many benefits he received. 36 Nehemiah and his companions called the liquid nephthar, meaning purification, but most people named it naphtha.

1 In the records it will be found that Jeremiah the prophet ordered the deportees to take some of the fire with them as indicated, …
 
This density of God’s presence in the radiance of the Gospel reaches others in the month of Kislev, as we are positioning ourselves as brothers in Christ to reveal God’s grace.

The following message is the first part of a teaching that consists of two parts and we recommend to read the message chronologically.
 
In Genesis chapter 1:20-23 we can read about the creation of the aquatic animals and the flying creation on the fifth day, which carries an important revelatory spiritual principle of God in it.
 
Genesis 1:20-23:
20 And God said, “Let the water teem with living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the vault of the sky.”
21 So God created the great creatures of the sea and every living thing with which the water teems and that moves about in it, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.
22 God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the water in the seas, and let the birds increase on the earth.”
23 And there was evening, and there was morning – the fifth day.
 
Both kinds of creation are connected with a certain form of the hand of God, which is accompanied by His grace (Note: fifth day). These both are the hollow hand and the spanned hand of God (cf. Isaiah 40:12).
 
Isaiah 40:12:
12 Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, or with the breadth of his hand marked off the heavens? Who has held the dust of the earth in a basket, or weighed the mountains on the scales and the hills in a balance?
 
The Number ‘5 ‘, the Hand of God and the Creation of the Fifth Day
 
=> The number ‘5’ is an effective number. It counts to the effect of grace, manifested and worked as the hand of God in a life or ministry. This is because everything the LORD does is freely provided and cannot be purchased by earthly currency. It is a gift of grace. This number is mainly like the hand symbolism and represents the performance of a vow to the LORD. It applies in part to sacrificial or devotional service.
 
In addition, the number ‘5’ indicates a pledge of devotion expressed through the power in someone else’s hands (Note: hand pressing) to accomplish something. Hand symbolism primarily characterizes the Tenakh and has been brought into the New Testament by the Apostle Paul in his presentation of the offices of the five-fold ministry to the New Testament church.
 
In the Tenakh, the tabernacle and temple already point to the hand fulfillment of the New Testament church. The tabernacle had five pillars to support the structure, and the temple had a pentagon in the entrance area (cf. Exodus 26:37; 1 Kings 6:31).
 
Thus, ministries of ministers, elders, and leaders are implied there (cf. Ephesians 4:11 i.c.w. Galatians 2:9; Revelation 3:12).<= (The text placed in ‘=>’ is based on an explanation from the ‘Prophet’s Dictionary’ by Paula A. Price, Ph. D.; pp. 221; 222).
 
The measure of the sea as well as the heavens are, according to the biblical passage from Isaiah 40:12, the only realms associated with the hand of God and thus with His supernatural being, which is spirit (cf. John 4:24a).

On the basis of this truth, we can see that we are dealing with two spiritual realms that encompass in themselves the sustaining and protecting or covering power of God.
 
Considering the hollow hand below and the extended hand of the LORD above, we can see in it the dimension of a fish, which also resembles the symbol of the ‘ichthỵs – fish’ (note: <>< symbol of the ichthỵs – fish), where the lower level is joined to the upper level in revealing the structure of a fish.
 
Since the fish and the birds were created before man, a spiritual principle is revealed in this. This involves the element of water and air, which point to the power of the truth of God’s Word and the principle of the Spirit in the form of faith (cf. Ephesians 5:26b i.c.w. Isaiah 40:31; Hebrews 11:1).

… 26b by the washing with water through the word, …
 
Isaiah 40:31:
… 31 but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
 
Hebrews 11:1:
1 Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.
 
Moreover, God’s hollow hand and outstretched hand indicate the depths and heights of His love (Note: Greek agąpē), which authorizes us to go forward in His fullness (cf. Ephesians 3:17-19).
 
Ephesians 3:17-19:
… 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, 18 may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, 19 and to know this love that surpasses knowledge – that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.
 
It is essential for us to understand that we apply the power of our testimony from the past in our present in the center of the truth of the Word of God. Only in this are we enabled as triumphant overcomers to ‘swim’ with confidence in His glory into our good future (cf. Ezekiel 47:5 i.c.w. Revelation 12:11).

5 He measured off another thousand, but now it was a river that I could not cross, because the water had risen and was deep enough to swim in – a river that no one could cross.
 
Revelation 12:11:
11 They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.
 
Moreover, we should be encouraged to go forward in the dynamic of His voice, which is like the sound of many waters and is accompanied, among other things, by the movement of the wings of the cherubim (cf. Revelation 1:15b i.c.w. Ezekiel 1:24a).

…, 15b and his voice was like the sound of rushing waters.
 
Ezekiel 1:24a:
24a When the creatures moved, I heard the sound of their wings, like the roar of rushing waters, …
 
We know it is the testimony of Jesus, which is the spirit of prophecy, from which it is evident that it is a sounding of many waters (cf. Revelation 19:10e i.c.w. Jeremiah 10:13a).

“… 10e For it is the Spirit of prophecy who bears testimony to Jesus.”
 
Jeremiah 10:13a:
13a When he thunders, the waters in the heavens roar; …
 
It was the creation of the ‘fish’ that did not need to fear God’s righteous judgment in Noah’s time, but rather triumphed in the midst of God’s judgment in the element of the upper and lower waters (cf. Genesis 7:11-12).
 
Genesis 7:11-12:
11 In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, on the seventeenth day of the second month – on that day all the springs of the great deep burst forth, and the floodgates of the heavens were opened.
12 And rain fell on the earth forty days and forty nights.
 
These two waters can be seen as indicative of revelatory truth in the supernatural and natural realms. The presence of God-released revelatory truth causes the heavens and the earth to be shaken so that transformation occurs and that which is already established, which is according to His righteous standard remains (cf. Hebrews 12:26-27).
 
Hebrews 12:26-27:
26 At that time his voice shook the earth, but now he has promised, “Once more I will shake not only the earth but also the heavens.” (cf. Haggai 2:6)
27 The words “once more” indicate the removing of what can be shaken – that is, created things – so that what cannot be shaken may remain.
 
The area of the fish and the birds should serve as an encouragement for us to go forward in faith in the power of our testimony, but also in the lightness of God including walking in the Spirit (cf. John 6:63 i.c.w. 2 Corinthians 3:6)

63 The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you – they are full of the Spirit and life.
 
2 Corinthians 3:6:
6 He has made us competent as ministers of a new covenant – not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.
 
The Depths and Heights in Christ Jesus and the ‘Fish World’
 
This connection between the so-called depths in the form of the fish and heights in the form of the birds in Christ Jesus is equal to the temporary implantation of Jonah (Note: means ‘dove’) in the belly of the fish. Through this, the power of prophecy in the form of God’s instruction could be secured for the future in order to give divine direction to the people (cf. Jonah 2:1.10; Jonah 3:1-2).
 
Jonah 2:1.10:
1 From inside the fish Jonah prayed to the Lord his God. …
10 And the Lord commanded the fish, and it vomited Jonah onto dry land.
 
Jonah 3:1-2:
1 Then the word of the Lord came to Jonah a second time: 2 “Go to the great city of Nineveh and proclaim to it the message I give you.”
 
In Hebrew, the word ‘dāḡ’ is used for the creature ‘fish’, though another Hebrew word associated with the fish is also used. This is the word ‘nûn’, which is used for a lineage and generation in the Word of God and also means ‘fish, flourishing, sprouting’ or ‘reproduce’ (cf. Joshua 1:1). Thus, it is clear that the word ‘dāḡ’ is used for the fish world and the word ‘nûn’ is linked to the identity of humans.
 
Accordingly, it is no coincidence that Joshua, the son of ‘Nun’, understood very well how to act on behalf of the LORD on to the waters of the Jordan so that the people of Israel could enter the Promised Land with dry feet (cf. Joshua 3:14-17).
 
Joshua 3:14-17:
14 So when the people broke camp to cross the Jordan, the priests carrying the ark of the covenant went ahead of them.
15 Now the Jordan is at flood stage all during harvest. Yet as soon as the priests who carried the ark reached the Jordan and their feet touched the water’s edge, 16 the water from upstream stopped flowing. It piled up in a heap a great distance away, at a town called Adam in the vicinity of Zarethan, while the water flowing down to the Sea of the Arabah (that is, the Dead Sea) was completely cut off. So the people crossed over opposite Jericho.
17 The priests who carried the ark of the covenant of the Lord stopped in the middle of the Jordan and stood on dry ground, while all Israel passed by until the whole nation had completed the crossing on dry ground.
 
In the two Hebrew words used for ‘fish’ is the call of God to enter the kingdom of God in true humility and servant hood according to Matthew 19:24, as well as to go forward in the life of the Spirit. In this, it is inevitable that we go forward in victory over our carnal nature by our decision to live in the Spirit (cf. Galatians 5:16-18).
 
Matthew 19:24:
“… 24 Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.” (Note: ‘dāḡ’ – dimension => letters ‘Daleth-Gimel’).
 
Galatians 5:16-18:
16 So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.
17 For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want.
18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. (Note: ‘nûn’ – dimension => letters ‘Nun-Waw-Nun’).

When we, as sons of ‘Nun’ on earth, move forward in faith in these mentioned dimensions in Christ Jesus, we are on a different spiritual level than the people who are on earth and have to learn righteousness through the released judgments of God (cf. Isaiah 26:9b).
 
Isaiah 26:9b:
… 9b When your judgments come upon the earth, the people of the world learn righteousness.

For it is for us as saints in Christ to seek the higher things, where Christ Jesus is, seated at the right hand of God (cf. Colossians 3:1-3 i.c.w. Ephesians 2:4-6).
 
Colossians 3:1-3:
1 Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.
2 Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.
3 For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.
 
Ephesians 2:4-6:
4 But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, 5 made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions – it is by grace you have been saved.
6 And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, …

Note:
The following message is the second part of a teaching that consists of two parts.
It is recommended to read the message chronologically.
 
Thus, it is just as not coincidental that Jesus Christ called some disciples who were fishermen to the apostolic discipleship, who were, among others, two pairs of brothers. These were Peter and his brother Andrew, and the two sons of Zebedee, namely James and John, who were also known as the ‘sons of thunder’.
 
Matthew 4:18-22:
18 As Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew. They were casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen.
19 “Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.”
20 At once they left their nets and followed him.
21 Going on from there, he saw two other brothers, James son of Zebedee and his brother John. They were in a boat with their father Zebedee, preparing their nets. Jesus called them, 22 and immediately they left the boat and their father and followed him.
 
These two pairs of brothers are already a reference to the aforementioned depths and heights of God, since, according to the naming by Jesus, Peter is the rock – due to his made statement about Christ Jesus – and the sons of Zebedee are, as just mentioned, the connection to thunder (cf. Matthew 6:17-18 i.c.w. Mark 3:17).
 
Matthew 16:17-18:
17 Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven.
18 And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.
 
Mark 3:17:
17 James son of Zebedee and his brother John (to them he gave the name Boanerges, which means “sons of thunder”), …
 
A rock is geographically on the earth and a thunder sounds in the atmosphere or in the sky.
 
It was Jesus Christ who transformed His disciples from fishermen to fishers of men, which also means that the mentioned disciples as fishermen were familiar with the ‘dimension of fish’ and the Fish Gate in Jerusalem in order to reel in the great catch of men from this knowledge on the behalf of Christ (cf. Luke 5:9-11 i.c.w. Nehemiah 3:3).
 
Luke 5:9-11:
9 For he and all his companions were astonished at the catch of fish they had taken, 10 and so were James and John, the sons of Zebedee, Simon’s partners. Then Jesus said to Simon, “Don’t be afraid; from now on you will fish for people.”
11 So they pulled their boats up on shore, left everything and followed him.
 
Nehemiah 3:3:
3 The Fish Gate was rebuilt by the sons of Hassenaah. They laid its beams and put its doors and bolts and bars in place.
 
The Fish Gate and the Higher Spiritual Level
 
It was the Fish Gate that was restored by the sons of ‘Hassenaah’ on Nehemiah’s behalf so that the opportunity for ‘the great catch’ could be secured. Through the Fish Gate the caught fish were brought to the city of Jerusalem.
 
Based on the name ‘Hassenaah’ (Note: means ‘the hated population, to sting, thorny’) it shows us that these are true followers of Christ who speak the truth and don’t keep silent, even if they are hated as well as rejected by society because of their words (cf. Matthew 5:11 i.c.w. John 15:19).
 
Matthew 5:11:
11 “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. …”
 
John 15:19:
19 If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you.
 
We are not called to make ourselves attractive to the world as the church – ekklēsia, but we should rather look to be attractive only to our LORD Jesus Christ in the form of true discipleship and authentic commitment.
 
After Jesus rose from the dead, He appeared, among others, to seven disciples at the Sea of Tiberias who were fishing, and addressed them from the facet of the Father, since there He addressed them as ‘children’ (cf. John 21:1-5).
 
John 21:1-5:
1 Afterward Jesus appeared again to his disciples, by the Sea of Galilee (Note: also Tiberias). It happened this way: 2 Simon Peter, Thomas (also known as Didymus), Nathanael from Cana in Galilee, the sons of Zebedee, and two other disciples were together.
3 “I’m going out to fish,” Simon Peter told them, and they said, “We’ll go with you.” So they went out and got into the boat, but that night they caught nothing.
4 Early in the morning, Jesus stood on the shore, but the disciples did not realize that it was Jesus.
5 He called out to them, “Friends (Note: children), haven’t you any fish?” “No,” they answered.
 
Peter took the leading role with his intention to go fishing. In this, the sons of Zebedee, Thomas, Nathanael and two other disciples accompanied him.
 
Jesus spoke from the facet of the Father and also the Sea of Galilee at this point in the Word titled as the Sea of Tiberias (Note: derived from the Roman ruler Tiberius), which is also called the Sea of Genezareth, to show that it was Jesus’ intention to draw His disciples or apostles to a higher level.
 
This higher level is connected to His government and understanding about the living catch in the form of ‘the sonship of God (Note: 153 fish), the truth of God (Note: Peter), real faith (Note: Thomas), the movement of angels (Note: Nathanael), the righteousness of God (Note: the sons of Zebedee)’ as well as the yet ‘unknown realm (Note: the two nameless disciples)’.
The Father is the highest spiritual authority and it was Peter alone in this case, who pulled in the 153 fish on Jesus’ behalf, whose numerical value carries the phrase ‘Sons of God’, and it is Jesus Christ who is the one sitting at the right hand of God as the Son. This reveals that Jesus wanted to pull the already established truth in Peter to a higher spiritual level.
 
The Heavenly Father wanted them to mix and absorb their wisdom and knowledge in Christ with His present higher wisdom and knowledge, since these were already in the form of the fish on the campfire (cf. John 21:9-13 i.c.w. Colossians 2:2-3).
 
John 21:9-13:
9 When they landed, they saw a fire of burning coals there with fish on it, and some bread.
10 Jesus said to them, “Bring some of the fish you have just caught.”
11 So Simon Peter climbed back into the boat and dragged the net ashore. It was full of large fish, 153, but even with so many the net was not torn.
12 Jesus said to them, “Come and have breakfast.” None of the disciples dared ask him, “Who are you?” They knew it was the Lord.
13 Jesus came, took the bread and gave it to them, and did the same with the fish.
 
Colossians 2:2-3:
2 My goal is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, 3 in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
 
The reason for this is, that in this Scripture two different Greek words for ‘fish’ are mentioned, which are on the one hand the word ‘ichthỵs’, which means a ‘fish’ in itself, and on the other hand the second word ‘opsạrion’, which describes a ‘prepared fish’ in the sense of a prepared meal. (Note: Word explanation from the Elberfelder Study Bible on the Greek words for ‘fish – ichthỵs, opsạrion’ with word key number: 2456, 3647* and Strong’s Concordance with word key number: G2486, G3795).
 
From these word explanations, it is evident that God is eager to see that we bring our experiences to the center of His Son’s resurrection power and allow the Holy Spirit to move our knowledge to a higher level in order to walk in it.
 
The Proper Positioning of Made Experiences and the Right Side
 
When we bring our past experiences with Christ Jesus into the light of His experience, we begin to recognize the revelatory truth for this time and the time to come and to align ourselves accordingly (cf. Psalm 36:9).
 
Psalm 36:9:
9 For with you is the fountain of life; in your light we see light.
 
It is also noteworthy that the seven disciples were instructed by Jesus to cast the net to the right side. Therein lies a deeper insight involving, among other things, the realm of governmental dominion in the sonship of God and walking in the revelatory truth of the Holy Spirit as well as the fear of the LORD.

The face of God in the facet of the lion is associated with the right side in the Word of God and points to His eternal kingship (cf. Ezekiel 1:10).
 
Ezekiel 1:10:
10 Their faces looked like this: Each of the four had the face of a human being, and on the right side each had the face of a lion, and on the left the face of an ox; each also had the face of an eagle.
 
The right side, according to the Word of God, is associated with the south and the burning Menorah and the seven burning torches before the throne of God (cf. Exodus 40:24 i.c.w. Revelation 4:5).
 
Exodus 40:24:
24 He placed the lampstand in the tent of meeting opposite the table on the south side of the tabernacle …
 
Revelation 4:5:
5 From the throne came flashes of lightning, rumblings and peals of thunder. In front of the throne, seven lamps were blazing. These are the seven spirits of God.
 
The seven burning torches are connected with the dimension of the Heavenly Father, since God is a consuming fire (cf. Deuteronomy 4:24; Hebrews 12:29).
 
Deuteronomy 4:24:
24 For the Lord your God is a consuming fire, a jealous God.
 
Hebrews 12:29:
… 29 for our “God is a consuming fire.”
 
In addition, the right side is associated with the true followers of Christ in the form of sheep, representing humility, and the positioning of the tribes of Reuben, Simeon, and Gad, who encamped around the tabernacle on the south side (cf. Matthew 25:33a; Numbers 2:10a.12a.14a).
 
Matthew 25:33a:
33a He will put the sheep on his right …
 
Numbers 2:10a.12a.14a:
10a On the south will be the divisions of the camp of Reuben under their standard. …
12a The tribe of Simeon will camp next to them. …
14a The tribe of Gad will be next. …
 
The dimension of the aforementioned tribe unit is indicative, among other things, of the ability to recognize Jesus Christ in everyday life (Note: ‘Reuben’ means ‘Behold, a son!’), to hear His voice (Note: ‘Simeon’ means ‘hearing in form of an answer’), and to prevail in His righteousness in spiritual warfare through His triumph on the cross in the face of opposition (Note: ‘Gad’ means ‘good fortune’ or ‘plight’).
 
The wind of the south carries the revelation of God’s fire (cf. Job 37:17; Luke 12:55).
 
Job 37:17:
17 You who swelter in your clothes when the land lies hushed under the south wind, …
 
Luke 12:55:
55 And when the south wind blows, you say, ‘It’s going to be hot,’ and it is.

Thus, the right side (Note: south) can also represent the revelatory words of God in the form of correction and exhortation that develop from His love for truth.
 
The south wind, symbolizing fire and heat, gives boldness to preach, just as the flames of fire on the heads of the saints at Pentecost/Shavuot revealed (cf. Isaiah 6:6-8 i.c.w. Acts 2:1-4).
 
Isaiah 6:6-8:
6 Then one of the seraphim flew to me with a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with tongs from the altar.
7 With it he touched my mouth and said, “See, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away and your sin atoned for.”
8 Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I. Send me!”
 
Acts 2:1-4:
1 When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place.
2 Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting.
3 They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them.
4 All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.
