In John 17, Jesus Christ prayed to His Heavenly Father for His disciples and for all coming believers, that they would not be taken out of the world, but would be preserved in it and walk in the revelatory truth of God (cf. John 17:14-19).

John 17:14-19:
14 I have given them your word and the world has hated them, for they are not of the world any more than I am of the world.
15 My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one.
16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of it.
17 Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth.
18 As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world.
19 For them I sanctify myself, that they too may be truly sanctified.

In order to walk in the revelatory truth of the Word of God, it is necessary to know and carry the Word of God in our heart, so that we are able to apply its principles and to increase in holiness, that leads to seeing God (cf. Hebrews 12:14).

Hebrews 12:14:
14 Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord.

The System of this ‘World’

To understand what it means to be in the world but not of the world, it is helpful to know what is meant by the term ‘world’ in terms of a ‘system’.

When the Word of God uses the term ‘world’ in relation to the system, the following areas are meant: commerce, industry, finance, education, science, medicine, legislation, religion. As saints, we should not attach our hearts to these structures that organize the social levels in all parts of the world.

The environment of the ‘world’ can also be defined as ‘Babel/Babylon’, because it was the inhabitants of the city who rebelled against God (note: YAHWEH), intending to create a high place with the aim of securing their own overview in the different sections of society. They were driven to be able to exercise control without God's standards. At that time people had a common culture, as indicated by their common language and communication (cf. Genesis 11:1).

Genesis 11:1:
1 Now the whole world had one language and a common speech.

This control and power, which they meant to gain reflects a false financial understanding (note: greed or fear of not having enough) and the influence of religion, which only includes a knowledge of God but excludes the relationship with God, YAHWEH, the Father in Christ Jesus.

If you take a closer look at chapters 17 and 18 of the book of Revelation, you can see that there are two ‘types’ of Babylon, namely the religious Babylon (note: harlot) and the economic Babylon (note: city).

This is the perversion of the divine structural framework of the heavenly messianic city of Jerusalem, which is both – the Bride and the wife of the Lamb (cf. Revelation 21:2.9b-10).

=> It takes a certain amount of time for the first Babylon to be destroyed, requiring the cooperation of the ten kingdoms (cf. Revelation 17:16).

Revelation 17:16:
16 The beast and the ten horns you saw will hate the prostitute. They will bring her to ruin and leave her naked; they will eat her flesh and burn her with fire.

According to Revelation 17, it is clear that the merchants do not get rich from the trade of the ‘first Babylon’ while they do, on the other hand, from the ‘second Babylon’ (cf. Revelation 18:15-17a).

Revelation 18:15-17a:
15 The merchants who sold these things and gained their wealth from her will stand far off, terrified at her torment. They will weep and mourn 16 and cry out: “ ‘Woe! Woe to you, great city, dressed in fine linen, purple and scarlet, and glittering with gold, precious stones and pearls!
17a In one hour such great wealth has been brought to ruin!’ …

With the one Babylon, people do not stay away for fear of destruction, which is instead the case with the second Babylon (cf. Revelation 18:10).

Revelation 18:10:
10 Terrified at her torment, they will stand far off and cry: “ ‘Woe! Woe to you, great city, you mighty city of Babylon! In one hour your doom has come!’

In the first Babylon the trade is not described, but the trade is part of the second Babylon.

The ‘first Babylon’ is destroyed over a period of time, with the ‘second Babylon’ being destroyed in one day (see Revelation 18:10). <=
(note: The text set in ‘=>’ is based on an explanation from the book ‘The Two Babylons’ by Gordon Lindsey, Dallas, TX: Christ for the Nations, Inc.,1988; S.411)

The origin and meaning of the name ‘Babel/Babylon’ was interpreted by the Babylonians as the ‘gate of God’ and in Israel was derived from the Hebrew word for ‘confusion’ (cf. Genesis 11:1-9). The city of Babel was geographically located on the Euphrates and was the center of the so-called Near East in the 2nd century B.C.

According to the Word of God, the Euphrates is the fourth branch of the river, which diverges from the river in the middle of the Garden of Eden. In the prophetic context, a river represents among other things economy.

From this it becomes clear that the plan of the opponent was to use the region of Babel/Babylon as a center of world economic control. The region where the people decided to build the high place in the form of a tower was in the land of ‘Shinar’, which translated means ‘two-city land/lion land’. ‘Shinar’ is a reference to the enemy's dominion, as the adversary walks around like a roaring lion looking for whom he can devour through his ‘system’ (cf. Genesis 11:1-9 i.c.w. 1 Peter 5:8).

Genesis 11:1-9:
1 Now the whole world had one language and a common speech.
2 As people moved eastward, they found a plain in Shinar and settled there.
3 They said to each other, “Come, let’s make bricks and bake them thoroughly.” They used brick instead of stone, and tar for mortar.
4 Then they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city, with a tower that reaches to the heavens, so that we may make a name for ourselves; otherwise we will be scattered over the face of the whole earth.”
5 But the Lord came down to see the city and the tower the people were building.
6 The Lord said, “If as one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them.
7 Come, let us go down and confuse their language so they will not understand each other.”
8 So the Lord scattered them from there over all the earth, and they stopped building the city.
9 That is why it was called Babel – because there the Lord confused the language of the whole world. From there the Lord scattered them over the face of the whole earth.

1 Peter 5:8:
8 Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.

The system of the adversary is strongly influenced by the love of money, which is called mammon and is the root of all evil (cf. 1 Timothy 6:10).

1 Timothy 6:10:
10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.

Faithful Stewardship

Since we as God's people are walking ahead in Christ Jesus and His work is the final work of redemption, it is important in this context to look at things from the perspective of the redemptive power of Christ.

Jesus Christ revealed to us as the people of God a strategy for using the power of ‘mammon’ for the good purpose to bring forth friends who respect and acknowledge His work of redemption (cf. Luke 16:9 i.c.w. John 12:47).

Luke 16:9:
9 I tell you, use worldly wealth to gain friends for yourselves, so that when it is gone, you will be welcomed into eternal dwellings.

John 12:47:
47 “If anyone hears my words but does not keep them, I do not judge that person. For I did not come to judge the world, but to save the world. …”

The establishment of divine friendship is closely related to the remission of debts, as revealed to us in the parable of the wise stewardship in Luke 16:1-9. In this shared parable, a steward remitted once 50% and then 20% of the debts in the form of oil and wheat to respective debtors.

It is no coincidence that the apostle Peter, whose original spiritual home was the city of Jerusalem, spoke of the greeting of the chosen community of saints (note: gr. ekklēsia) in Babylon.

In the same greeting quote we can find the greeting of Mark (note: means ‘man’), who in this case represents ‘authority’ (see 1 Peter 5:13).

1 Peter 5:13:
13 She (note: the 'ekklēsia') who is in Babylon, chosen together with you, sends you her greetings, and so does my son Mark.

This greeting of Peter's should encourage us as God's people at this time to look out of the redemptive work of Christ and recognize a strategy.

Jesus Christ is the door through which we enter in and out in order to find green pasture (note: Kingdom economy). The green pasture is closely related to the presence of God and His authority (see Revelation 4:2-3).

Revelation 4:2-3:
2 At once I was in the Spirit, and there before me was a throne in heaven with someone sitting on it.
3 And the one who sat there had the appearance of jasper and ruby. A rainbow that shone like an emerald (note: green) encircled the throne.

From this we, who carry Jesus Christ in our hearts, can see that the practice of faithful stewardship can become an opportunity for people to be led into the presence of the Heavenly Father through the commanded strategy of Christ according to Luke 16:9, so that confusion occurs in the camp of the enemy (cf. Isaiah 22:5.7).

Isaiah 22:5.7:
5 The Lord, the Lord Almighty, has a day of tumult and trampling and terror in the Valley of Vision (cf. Genesis 11:2.7.9), a day of battering down walls and of crying out to the mountains. …
7 Your choicest valleys are full of chariots, and horsemen are posted at the city gates.

Confidence in Transition

We can be confident that the LORD will send His angelic hosts in the form of fiery chariots and horses to protect us as His people and bring separation between the spirit and the flesh. As a result, the governing movement of the throne of God manifests itself in the form of a whirlwind filled with light in our spiritual realm to bring us as His people to a higher level of revelation and government (cf. 2 Kings 2:11; 2 Kings 6:17 i.c.w. Ezekiel 10:13).

2 Kings 2:11:
11 As they were walking along and talking together, suddenly a chariot of fire and horses of fire appeared and separated the two of them, and Elijah went up to heaven in a whirlwind.

2 Kings 6:17:
17 And Elisha prayed, “Open his eyes, Lord, so that he may see.” Then the Lord opened the servant’s eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.

Ezekiel 10:13:
13 I heard the wheels being called “the whirling wheels.” (note: ‘galgal’)

It is also no coincidence that a powerful wind and fire at Shavuot/Pentecost manifested itself in the upper room in Jerusalem over the approximately one hundred and twenty saints who announced a new era (cf. Acts 1:12-13a.15 i.c.w. Acts 2:1-4).

Acts 1:12-13a.15:
12 Then the apostles returned to Jerusalem from the hill called the Mount of Olives, a Sabbath day’s walk from the city.
13a When they arrived, they went upstairs to the room where they were staying. …
15 In those days Peter stood up among the believers (a group numbering about a hundred and twenty) …

Acts 2:1-4:
1 When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place.
2 Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting.
3 They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them.
4 All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.

We can be confident that if we put our heart only in the Lord and know that we do not belong to the system ‘world’, but to our destiny in transition, which takes us to the higher realms of the heavenly dimension, new power and more authority will be given to us to build the kingdom.

Amen and Amen.

Introduction

As God's people we are currently in the week or rather in the time frame of ‘Shavuot – feast of weeks/Pentecost’, which is the biblical feast connected to the upper room where the Holy Spirit fell on the 120 saints present there. This was connected to the manifestation of a loud, violently blowing wind and tongues of fire (see Acts 1:13a.15; Acts 2:1-4).

Acts 1:13a.15:
13a When they arrived, they went upstairs to the room where they were staying. …
15 In those days Peter stood up among the believers (a group numbering about a hundred and twenty) …

Acts 2:1-4:
1 When the day of Pentecost (note: Shavuot – the feast of weeks) came, they were all together in one place.

The Upper Room of Troas

In this context, I want to address the upper room of Troas at the time of Paul. Here, saints also gathered and a multitude of flames were burning, as many lamps had been lit (Acts 20:7-8).

Acts 20:6-8:
6 But we sailed from Philippi after the Festival of Unleavened Bread (note: Passover), and five days later joined the others at Troas, where we stayed seven days.
7 On the first day of the week we came together to break bread. Paul spoke to the people and, because he intended to leave the next day, kept on talking until midnight.
8 There were many lamps in the upstairs room where we were meeting.

The Power of Transit and the Apostolic Instruction

The above scripture reveals that during his travels, the apostle Paul stayed in Troas for seven days.
Here he met saints from the region, instructing them by means of an important apostolic message.
It was important to Paul that the saints of Troas gathered in unity to hear all of his apostolic teaching, as he planned to continue his travels the next day.
This was the reason, Paul continued to preach until well after midnight.

The Upper Room Suffused with Fiery Light

The place where the apostle stayed was flooded with the light of the revelatory knowledge of God, which is illustrated by the many burning lamps in the upper room (see Acts 20:8 i.c.w. 2Peter 1:19).

Acts 20:8:
8 There were many lamps in the upstairs room where we were meeting.

2 Peter 1:19:
19 We also have the prophetic message as something completely reliable, and you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts.

During the apostolic teaching (note: personally, I assume this was filled with revelatory knowledge) in the upper room, suffused with fiery light, Paul was driven by the Holy Spirit not to keep the revelation he had received to himself, but to share it in compact form, as afore mentioned, with the saints in Troas, because he wanted to continue his travels the next day (see Acts 20:7).

The Accident of ‘Eutychus’

In the center of this apostolic revelatory knowledge of God, a young man named Eutychus, who sat by a window in the upper room, sunk into a deep sleep and fell from the third floor.
This accident proved fatal for the young man, so Paul left the upper room and went downstairs to attend to the dead man, intervening in a similar way as the prophet Elisha with the Shunammite's dead son (see Acts 20:9-10 i.c.w. 2 Kings 4:32-35).

Acts 20:9-10:
9 Seated in a window was a young man named Eutychus, who was sinking into a deep sleep as Paul talked on and on. When he was sound asleep, he fell to the ground from the third story and was picked up dead.
10 Paul went down, threw himself on the young man and put his arms around him. “Don’t be alarmed,” he said. “He’s alive!”

2 Kings 4:32-35:
32 When Elisha reached the house, there was the boy lying dead on his couch.
33 He went in, shut the door on the two of them and prayed to the LORD.
34 Then he got on the bed and lay on the boy, mouth to mouth, eyes to eyes, hands to hands. As he stretched himself out on him, the boy’s body grew warm.
35 Elisha turned away and walked back and forth in the room and then got on the bed and stretched out on him once more. The boy sneezed seven times and opened his eyes.

After the young man Eutychus had been brought back to life by intervention of the apostle, the saints in Troas received an apostolic testimony of “resurrection”.

Eutychus’, A Representative for the Saints of the New Wine

The name ‘Eutychus’ means: ‘the lucky one. The name is a derivation of the verb ‘eutychein’; it means to reach the set goal, to achieve the desired and to be happy in ones undertakings’ (note: part excerpt from the biblical encyclopedia of names by Abraham Meister on the name ‘Eutychus’ with word number 1107)

This word illustration as well as what happened to the young man Eutychus, is meant to clarify for us nowadays, the attempt of Satan to destroy the potential carriers of the new, namely the things, God wants to perform in this time and in future. Satan wants to prevent joy and favor of God spreading in the lives of the people, these carriers come into contact with. It's a good thing, though that God already secured His plan in order to implement it through His saints on earth!
‘Eutychus’ represents present day saints, who are prepared to move in the structure of the new wine and new wineskins.
These are saints, who do not lose sight of their goal for the purpose of reaching it in all power and joy (see 1 Corinthians 9:24-26).

1 Corinthians 9:24-26:
24 Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize.
25 Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever.
26 Therefore I do not run like someone running aimlessly; I do not fight like a boxer beating the air.

Great Comfort

The apostolic intervention to ‘resurrect’ did not deter Paul from returning to the third floor to have fellowship with the saints in the resurrection power of Christ and continue to convey his insight by his apostolic understanding.
This resulted in great comfort spreading among the saints (see Acts 20:11-12).

Acts 20:11-12:
11 Then he went upstairs again and broke bread and ate. After talking until daylight, he left.
12 The people took the young man home alive and were greatly comforted.

May the comforter of the Most High give great comfort and solace to us in the days ahead by the power of the truth of Jesus!

John 14:26
26 But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.

John 16:7:
7 But very truly I tell you, it is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you.

Amen and Amen.

In His Wisdom,

Daniel Glimm

Some time ago I received a dream that took place in vivid colors of which I feel that it is important at this time.

The Artwork “Elliot” and the messianic Calendar

The day before I had the dream an artist, a believer in Christ and personal friend of my wife and I, sent me a photo of her latest painting via smartphone.
Looking at the picture I saw a seraphim – angel (note: means “the burning ones, the purifying ones“, also “fiery dragon“), and almost immediately I heard the name “Elliot” in my spirit. The name “Elliot” is derived from the name of the prophet Elijah and means “God is JAHWE.“

I went into the kitchen to show the painting to my wife and then I looked on the messianic calendar hanging on the wall. On it was a picture with a church building in the foreground which had a number of golden bulbous spires. There was a cross at the top of each spire, and the city of Jerusalem could be seen in the background.
Underneath the picture the scripture from Mark 16:9 was cited, where it says,

When Jesus rose early on the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had driven seven demons.“

Two Dreams

That night, after my wife and I had gone to bed, she had a dream where the above mentioned scripture from Mark 16:9 was highlighted twice.

That very same night I had a dream, too (as previously mentioned). In the dream it was summertime and the sun was going down. The sunset made the sky glow in soft shades of orange. While seeing this, I beheld a big storm forming on the horizon, coming from the north. It consisted of a dark cloud cover which extended horizontally, and it felt like a wave rolling towards the shore with a seraphim – angel forming from the center of the dark cloud cover.
Then I repeatedly heard the name “Elliot”.

After this the dream sequence changed and I saw a male person walking with his friend, who was a believer in Christ, on the flat green-planted roof of a very long, drawn-out building.

While these two were in conversation, I saw to the right of them (note: towards the east) a married couple from the western world lying on sun loungers on the roof terrace of a nearby building; they spoke spiritedly in English about their ministry in the church of Christ.
On the basis of what they said I realized that the man had an unhealthy self confidence which was influenced by pride.

Then I looked to the left of the horizon (note: towards the west) where the sun was about to set, covering the sky in warm shades of orange.
While looking to the left hand side, I noticed three big storms forming on the horizon, which one by one moved powerfully from west to east. When I saw the first big storm I realized that the two chatting believers walking on the roof tried to evade the storm, but they didn't manage on account of the speed of the storm. In the midst of this dark cloud cover I saw the head and neck of a horse. It had a white-blue outline, and an electric current (note: like lightnings) was emanating from it. There was a strong sound of snorting coming from the nostrils of the horses' head.
After this two further big storms followed, they looked just like the first big storm I had previously seen coming from the north with the seraphim – angel forming in the middle of the dark cloud cover and bearing the name of “Elliot”.

After the storms I had observed earlier had passed over the region, there was an atmosphere of peace and quiet, just like after a summer thunderstorm where the falling rain rises again as white fog from the earth.

While seeing all of this I recognized the man, the believer, who was previously chatting with his friend on the roof, now speaking with a neighbor of his (note: she didn't seem to be a believer), asking if she had noticed the big storms, but she hadn't.
There the dream ended.

The Four Big Storms and the Spirit of Elijah

As I contemplated this and my wife's dream, asking the LORD for revelation knowledge, he informed me that the big storms are spiritual movements in the spirit of Elijah; they are connected to fatherhood and sonship (see Malachi 4:5-6).

Malachi 4:5-6:
5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD: 6 And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.

The four big storms were:
  1. the movement of the Heavenly Father (note: spiritual fatherhood),
  2. the movement of Israel, his people (note: the one new man/the messianic church of Christ; see Ephesians 2:13-18),
  3. the movement of the Son of God – Jesus Christ (note: spiritual sonship) and
  4. the movement of the Holy Spirit (note: spiritual care, like that of a mother).
In connection with this the Heavenly Father revealed to me that He is about to free the Western-influenced church from the influences of darkness (for instance religion, pride, …) similar to the way He cleansed the temple in Jerusalem from the sellers and money changers through His son Jesus Christ, who at that time lived on earth in human form (see John 2,13-19).

John 2:13-19:
13 When it was almost time for the Jewish Passover, Jesus went up to Jerusalem.
14 In the temple courts he found people selling cattle, sheep and doves, and others sitting at tables exchanging money.
15 So he made a whip out of cords, and drove all from the temple courts, both sheep and cattle; he scattered the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables.
16 To those who sold doves he said, “Get these out of here! Stop turning my Father’s house into a market!”
17 His disciples remembered that it is written: “Zeal for your house will consume me.”
18 The Jews then responded to him, “What sign can you show us to prove your authority to do all this?”
19 Jesus answered them, “Destroy this temple, and I will raise it again in three days.”

I further heard the LORD saying,

A time has come to an end to announce a new time!
I have cleansed My house in the midst of Israel, My people, through My son Jesus Christ, who came to them as King and High Priest.
In the same way I cleanse My church in this time through the presence of My risen Son, who is King of kings and Priest of the Most High God according to the order of Melchizedek (see Genesis 14:18 i.c.w. Psalm 110:4; Hebrews 5:5-6).
This cleansing is a cleansing of the spiritual level.
This time Jesus acts from His structure of spirit-man, and through unusual miracles He urges us to cleanse our hearts (see Revelation 1:12-16 i.c.w. James 4:8; 1.Peter 4:17).“

This manifestation of Jesus as the First and the Last and the Living One will lead to Him cleansing the Western-influenced church as Priest of the Most High in order to re-establish righteousness in His house.

Where there is darkness because of ignorance of His current and future work, Jesus Christ will answer with His revealing light. This will result in a change of economy within His house.

The power of the grace of God will lead to believers suddenly knowing the truth, where previously they defined themselves by their gifts and offices; they will get the opportunity to help Jesus Christ in His cleansing process. This can be seen clearly in Jesus' request to the dove sellers (see John 2:16).

As a result the relationship with the Heavenly Father will be in the foreground, and finances will no longer be used for personal visions and plans, but for the visions and plans of the Father. This implementation arises from the true relationship with God, the Father, and has His plan in the center.

At this point it is important to note that – while cleansing the temple in Jerusalem from insincere buyers and sellers with the zeal of God – Jesus pointed to the true trade/the true “exchange deal” in heaven. This can only take place with a sincere heart by relationship with the Heavenly Father. The tables (note: symbol for fellowship) overthrown by Jesus Christ indicate this, because the table legs like index fingers point heavenward and point to the true heavenly trade in relationship with the Heavenly Father through Jesus Christ.

This “exchange deal” includes making use of time by spending it with the Heavenly Father in true relationship, and also using finances according to the will and plan of the Father.

The Unusual Manifestation of Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ appears in an unusual way, and He will connect to the respective region of the land He enters in order to reveal Himself in the facet of the inheritance spiritually allocated by God to the region.
Melchizedek was the king of righteousness and was identified as prince of peace through the city of „Salem“.

Conclusion

The movement or entrance of Jesus Christ as King of righteousness and Priest of God Most High into the Western-influenced church will be accompanied by a fresh anointing which is carried by leading angels/winds, and it will result in unusual miracles that are challenging (see Matthew 21:1-2.4-5).

Matthew 21:1-2.4-5:
1 As they approached Jerusalem and came to Bethphage on the Mount of Olives, Jesus sent two disciples, 2 saying to them, “Go to the village ahead of you, and at once you will find a donkey tied there, with her colt by her. Untie them and bring them to me …
4 This took place to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet (see Zechariah 9:9): 5 “Say to Daughter Zion, ‘See, your king comes to you, gentle and riding on a donkey, and on a colt, the foal of a donkey.’ ”

The result of this cleansing will be that the church of Christ worldwide will arise as the one new man – the messianic church – and it will walk in His triumph and His resurrection power for this age.

Amen and Amen.
