Jesus Christ, The Supplier Of Salvation And Provision

Jesus said that He is the door to bring real safety and provision (see John 10:9)

John 10:9:
9 I am the door; whoever enters through me will be saved. They will come in and go out, and find pasture.

The door Jesus spoke about is His sacrificial death on the cross of Golgotha because a door also consists of two sides, the vertical and horizontal line.

Staying At The Entrance And The Greater Presence Of God

This means that if we position ourselves in the door of Jesus Christ which involves the process of the inner circumcision of the heart, the negative behavioral pattern from the past is separated from us because we have decided to move into the new field of salvation and provision in Jesus Christ (see Galatians 2:20 i.c.w. Philippians 3:13-14).

Galatians 2:20:
20 I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

Philippians 3:13-14:
13 Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead,
14 I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

When we position ourselves at the entrance of Jesus Christ, we begin to see the Lord in a greater way, as Abraham and Lot experienced it (see Genesis 18:1-3; Genesis 19:1-3).

Genesis 18:1-3:
1 The Lord appeared to Abraham near the great trees of Mamre while he was sitting at the entrance to his tent in the heat of the day.
2 Abraham looked up and saw three men standing nearby. When he saw them, he hurried from the entrance of his tent to meet them and bowed low to the ground.
3 He said, “If I have found favor in your eyes, my lord, do not pass your servant by.

Genesis 19:1-3:
1 The two angels arrived at Sodom in the evening, and Lot was sitting in the gateway of the city. When he saw them, he got up to meet them and bowed down with his face to the ground.
2 “My lords,” he said, “please turn aside to your servant’s house. You can wash your feet and spend the night and then go on your way early in the morning.” “No,” they answered, “we will spend the night in the square.”
3 But he insisted so strongly that they did go with him and entered his house. He prepared a meal for them, baking bread without yeast, and they ate.

The Three Appearing Angels To Abraham

Abraham saw three angels in human form and he recognized them as a higher authority because he called them “Lord!”.
At that point of time Abraham and Sarah were a married couple and they did not have any children, which meant that they were not yet an own family.

These three angels can also be seen as God's triune apparition as Father, Son and Holy Spirit, bringing incredible promises.
It was the spiritual structure of family in which God encountered Abraham. And it is the strength of family that God sees as a threefold cord (see Ecclesiastes 4:12).

Ecclesiastes 4:12:
12 Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.

The Family Of God

According to Jesus' statement in the spiritual sense, one is part of the family of God when one does the will of the Father in Heaven (see Matthew 12:47-50).

Matthew 12:47-50:
47 Someone told him, “Your mother and brothers are standing outside, wanting to speak to you.”
48 He replied to him, “Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?”
49 Pointing to his disciples, he said, “Here are my mother and my brothers.
50 For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.”

The Place Where Abraham Stayed

When the angels met Abraham, he stayed in the grove of Mamre (means “oiliness, strength, manhood”) and sat in the entrance of his tent.
The stay of Abraham is an indication to us that he moved in the structure of the community of saints (note: a grove consists of many trees) and was flexible to move forward by the Spirit of God, which the tent represents (see Psalm 1:1-3 i.c.w. Hebrews 10:25).

Psalm 1:1-3:
1 Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, 2 but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night.
3 That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither – whatever they do prospers.

Hebrews 10:25:
… 25 not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another – and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

The Structure Of A Tree And The Son Of God

The structure of a tree can also be seen as the structure of the Son of God, because Jesus Christ is the tree of life and is the center of the divine relationship (Genesis 2:9).

Genesis 2:9:
9 The Lord God made all kinds of trees grow out of the ground - trees that were pleasing to the eye and good for food. In the middle of the garden were the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

And it is no coincidence that Satan was close to the tree of knowledge of good and evil in order to seduce Adam's wife to eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil in order to destroy the relationship with God (see Genesis 3:1-5).

Genesis 3:1-5:
1 Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’?”
2 The woman said to the serpent, “We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, 3 but God did say, ‘You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.’ ”
4 “You will not certainly die,” the serpent said to the woman.
5 “For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”

In the spirit realm, the sons of God appear in a remarkable greatness so that I personally do not consider it as a coincidence that the blind man, during Jesus' time of healing, saw men as trees walking around (see Mark 8:23-25).

Mark 8:23-25:
23 He took the blind man by the hand and led him outside the village. When he had spit on the man’s eyes and put his hands on him, Jesus asked, “Do you see anything?”
24 He looked up and said, “I see people; they look like trees walking around.”
25 Once more Jesus put his hands on the man’s eyes. Then his eyes were opened, his sight was restored, and he saw everything clearly.

The eyes of the heart of the blind man saw into the spirit realm in order to be able to see the structure of the sons of God.
The people whom the previously blind man saw as wandering trees were Jesus' disciples and the people who came out of the village with Jesus and him.
Leaving the village was a sign that they were no longer in the darkened structure of the past, but that they were ready to go ahead with Jesus Christ as sons of God (see John 1:12).

John 1:12:
12 Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children (note: sons) of God – …

True Spiritual Discernment An The Required Factor Of Grace

True spiritual discernment can only take place where first the sacrifice of Jesus Christ is personally accepted in the heart of men. Without it, discernment destroys!
Love and grace are first needed in order to use discernment to bring deliverance in the life of the relevant person.

This is why God said to Adam that he was allowed to eat from all the fruits of the trees in the garden except of the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

Despite the instruction of God to be allowed to eat from all the trees of the garden except the tree of knowledge, Adam and his wife didn't eat from the fruit of the tree of life (see Genesis 2:16-17 i.c.w. Genesis 3:22.24).

Genesis 2:16-17:
16 And the Lord God commanded the man, “You are free to eat from any tree in the garden;
17 but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die.”

Genesis 3:22.24:
22 And the Lord God said, “The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil. He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever.” …
24 After he drove the man out, he placed on the east side of the Garden of Eden cherubim and a flaming sword flashing back and forth to guard the way to the tree of life.

What was the reason why they did not eat the fruit of the tree of life first, but preferred the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil?

I am personally convinced that Adam and his wife didn't eat of the fruit from the tree of life because they were prevented from eating by the serpent in the form of distraction.
But praise be to God who gives to the saints, who walk in His first love and true teachings to eat the fruit from the tree of life (see Revelation 2:7)!

Revelation 2:7 (note: message to the saints of the church in Ephesus):
7 Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to eat from the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God.

In order to be allowed to eat this fruit, it is necessary to pass the gate with the flaming sword and the two Cherubim. Walking through the gate is only possible if one moves in Jesus Christ in true love for the Father and holds fast to his truth (see Genesis 3:24).

Genesis 3:24:
24 After he drove the man out, he placed on the east side of the Garden of Eden cherubim and a flaming sword flashing back and forth to guard the way to the tree of life.

This gateway is the circumcision of the heart through the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ on the cross (see Hebrews 4:12-13)!

Hebrews 4:12-13:
12 For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.
13 Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.

The Place Where Lot Stayed

Compared to Abraham's place of position, Lot sat at the entrance to the city of Sodom (means “encapsulation, enclosed, blocked up place”). There he met two of the three angels who visited Abraham. Lot didn't consider them as one unit but saw them separated which is illustrated by his statement to them, referring to them as Lords (see Genesis 19:2a).

Genesis 19:2a:
2a “My lords,” he said, “please turn aside to your servant’s house. …

While God, the Father remained with Abraham to speak to Abraham about the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah, the sonship (note: Jesus Christ) and motherhood of God (note: Holy Spirit) went to Lot after Sodom to preserve him and his family (see Genesis 18:16.22 i.c.w. Genesis 19:1).

Genesis 18:16.22:
16 When the men got up to leave, they looked down toward Sodom, and Abraham walked along with them to see them on their way. …
22 The men turned away and went toward Sodom, but Abraham remained standing before the Lord.

Genesis 19:1:
1 The two angels arrived at Sodom in the evening, and Lot was sitting in the gateway of the city. When he saw them, he got up to meet them and bowed down with his face to the ground.

The city of Sodom represents a society with a cold heart that has no true love (see Matthew 24:12).

Matthew 24:12:
12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

The Two Send Angels To Sodom

These two angels can also be seen as Jesus Christ, the Son of God and the Holy Spirit in the form of motherhood. God didn't want to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah in the first place, it was normally His plan to save it by His given love and power (see John 3:16 i.c.w. John 16:7.13-15).

John 3:16:
16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

John 16:7.13-15:
7 But very truly I tell you, it is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Comforter will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you. …
13 But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.
14 He will glorify me because it is from me that he will receive what he will make known to you.
15 All that belongs to the Father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will receive from me what he will make known to you.”

But the people of Sodom and Gomorrah resisted the given gift of God by desiring it in a perverse way and mocking it (see Genesis 19:4-7.12-13).

Genesis 19:4-7.12-13:
4 Before they had gone to bed, all the men from every part of the city of Sodom – both young and old – surrounded the house.
5 They called to Lot, “Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us so that we can have sex with them.”
6 Lot went outside to meet them and shut the door behind him 7 and said, “No, my friends. Don’t do this wicked thing. …
12 The two men said to Lot, “Do you have anyone else here – sons-in-law, sons or daughters, or anyone else in the city who belongs to you? Get them out of here, 13 because we are going to destroy this place. The outcry to the Lord against its people is so great that he has sent us to destroy it.”

The people of Sodom and Gomorrah could see the angels which meant that they had spiritual discernment, but they used it for their own lust and desire.
As a result, the angels had to beat the inhabitants with blindness before God's judgment hit the cities. This blindness included not only natural blindness, but also spiritual blindness within their hearts so that they couldn't find the entrance of “THE DOOR” (see Genesis 19:10-11).

Genesis 19:10-11:
10 But the men inside reached out and pulled Lot back into the house and shut the door.
11 Then they struck the men who were at the door of the house, young and old, with blindness so that they could not find the door.

The Warning Of Jesus

But Jesus, in His time when He was living on earth, warned that the land of Sodom and Gomorrah will receive a lesser degree of judgment than those who reject the given grace of the Father, that came in flesh and blood and which is Jesus Christ (see Matthew 10:11-15)!

Matthew 10:11-15:
11 And into whatsoever city or town ye shall enter, enquire who in it is worthy; and there abide till ye go thence.
12 And when ye come into an house, salute it.
13 And if the house be worthy, let your peace come upon it: but if it be not worthy, let your peace return to you.
14 And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet.
15 Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city.

Amen and Amen.

The Twelve Gemstones On The High Priest's Breastplate

In the Word of God we are told that the High Priest in the Old Testament had the names of the twelve sons or tribes of Israel engraved on twelve precious stones on a golden square breast plate, the Choshen. The gemstones were set in gold (see Exodus 28:15-21).

Exodus 28:15-21:
15 “Fashion a breastpiece for making decisions – the work of skilled hands. Make it like the ephod: of gold, and of blue, purple and scarlet yarn, and of finely twisted linen.
16 It is to be square – a span long and a span wide – and folded double.
17 Then mount four rows of precious stones on it. The first row shall be carnelian, chrysolite and beryl; 18 the second row shall be turquoise, lapis lazuli and emerald; 19 the third row shall be jacinth, agate and amethyst; 20 the fourth row shall be topaz, onyx and jasper. Mount them in gold filigree settings.
21 There are to be twelve stones, one for each of the names of the sons of Israel, each engraved like a seal with the name of one of the twelve tribes.

The Amethyst And The Messianic Jerusalem

In this context, the Holy Spirit emphasized the amethyst, which is also mentioned in the foundation of the Messianic (note: anointed) Jerusalem, which is also square in shape and is in twelfth position (see Revelation 21:10.16.19-20).

Revelation 21:10.16.19-20:
10 And he carried me away in the Spirit to a mountain great and high, and showed me the Holy City, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God. …
16 The city was laid out like a square, as long as it was wide. He measured the city with the rod and found it to be 12,000 stadia3 in length, and as wide and high as it is long. …
17 The angel measured the wall using human measurement, and it was 144 cubits thick.
18 The wall was made of jasper, and the city of pure gold, as pure as glass.
19 The foundations of the city walls were decorated with every kind of precious stone. The first foundation was jasper, the second sapphire, the third agate, the fourth emerald, 20 the fifth onyx, the sixth ruby, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth turquoise, the eleventh jacinth, and the twelfth amethyst.

In Hebrew, the word "amethyst" is 'aḥlāmāh” and is derived from the root word ḥālam“, which means “to become strong, to heal, to dream”. (excerpt of the Elberfelder Study Bible on the words 'aḥlāmāh” and ḥālam“ with the word key numbers 312*, 2552 and Strong's concordance with the word key numbers 306,2492)

The Purple Color

The color of the gemstone is violet and it is the color of the apostle and the bishop. Interestingly, throughout the Old Testament the stones were carried by the priests on the breastplate. The amethyst was placed in the third row as a ninth stone in the breastplate at that time. After the service of Jesus, the amethyst was raised to the position of the twelfth stone which is the highest level of God's new seat of creation. This divine repositioning is also an indication of God's grace and love for us human beings (see Colossians 3:1.4).

Colossians 3:1.4:
1 Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. …
4 When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.

The Amethyst And The Tribe Of Naphtali

According to the biblical Jewish tradition, the amethyst is assigned to the tribe of Naphtali. It is the tribe that understands the power of the end of a time and the power of the beginning of a new time in Jesus Christ by moving at these fixed points that function as a mountain peak (see Revelation 22:13).

Revelation 22:13:
13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.

Naphtali speaks or prophesies from this place the plans of God. In this way, he releases confidence into the new time.
The reason for this is because Naphtali has the qualities of a gazelle and speaks beautiful words, among other things, and because he is the last-mentioned tribe of Israel which moves under the leadership of the tribe of Dan (see Genesis 49:21 i.c.w. Habakkuk 3:19; Numbers 10:25.27-28).

Genesis 49:21:
21 “Naphtali is a doe set free that bears beautiful fawns (note: words).

Habakkuk 3:19:
19 The Sovereign Lord is my strength; he makes my feet like the feet of a deer, he enables me to tread on the heights.

Numbers 10:25.27-28:
25 Finally, as the rear guard for all the units, the divisions of the camp of Dan set out under their standard. Ahiezer son of Ammishaddai was in command. …
27 and Ahira son of Enan was over the division of the tribe of Naphtali.
28 This was the order of march for the Israelite divisions as they set out.

The Wealth Of Faith

If we look at the position of the amethyst which was in ninth position on the golden breastplate of the high priest in the Old Testament and Jesus Christ, according to the letter of Hebrews is the eternal high priest according to the Order of Melchizedek, which means the eternal kingship and priesthood, it becomes clear that it is about our personal positioning in the abundance of His faith.

Through His faith we are fixed in His order (note: symbolic of the square) and thus able to have a proper relationship in the Holy Spirit with God the Father, so that the fruits of the Spirit (note: nine fruits) become apparent (see John 17:22-23 i.c.w. Galatians 5:22-23).

John 17:22-23:
22 I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one – 23 I in them and you in me – so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.

Galatians 5:22-23:
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

If we have recognized and cultivate our personal relationship with the Lord, it is important that we give Him permission to shift us as living stones in order to place us in His government realm (note: messianic Jerusalem that descends from Heaven) where His common order reigns, which knows no competition (note: the length, breadth and height of the city are equal; see Revelation 21:16).

Revelation 21:16:
16 The city was laid out like a square, as long as it was wide. He measured the city with the rod and found it to be 12,000 stadia in length, and as wide and high as it is long.

This also means that we must be fully aware of the fact that we are washed completely clean by the blood of the Lamb and therefore move in holy transparency (note: transparent gold; see Revelation 21:18b) before him and with one another (see Romans 8:1; Ephesians 1:7 i.c.w. 1 Peter 2:5).

Revelation 21:18b:
… 18b and the city of pure gold, as pure as glass.

Romans 8:1:
1 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, …

Ephesians 1:7:
7 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace …

1 Peter 2:5:
… 5 you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house (note: temple) to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

The Golden Transparency

This holy golden transparency means the wrapping with His glory without any cause for shame. That is the way Adam and his wife lived before the sin fall. They were clothed in the glory of God (see Genesis 2:25)!

Genesis 2:25:
25 Adam and his wife were both naked, and they felt no shame.

This nakedness doesn't mean a fleshly nakedness but a life in a surrendered and incorruptible sincerity before God and men.
If we live as saints in the united formation of the seat of God's government, this results in His glory penetrating from the heavenly realm into the earthly realm so that the creation is released from its groaning because of the manifestation of the sons of God (see Romans 8:19).

Romans 8:19:
19 For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children (note: sons) of God to be revealed.

The Coming Down Of The City From Heaven

The coming down of the messianic Jerusalem from heaven is nothing more than the manifestation of God's government authority by the Bride of Christ who carries in her the mature sonship in Jesus Christ (see Revelation 21:2.9-11).

Revelation 21:2.9-11:
2 I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. …
9 One of the seven angels who had the seven bowls full of the seven last plagues came and said to me, “Come, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb.”
10 And he carried me away in the Spirit to a mountain great and high, and showed me the Holy City, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God.
11 It shone with the glory of God, and its brilliance was like that of a very precious jewel, like a jasper, clear as crystal.

The manifestation of the mature sonship is similar to the structure of the morning star which is accompanied by the prophetic anointing (see Job 38:7 i.c.w. 2 Peter 1:19).

Job 38:7:
… 7 while the morning stars sang together and all the sons of God shouted for joy?

2 Peter 1:19:
19 We also have the prophetic message as something completely reliable, and you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts.

The Shift Of The Amethyst

In connection with the shift of the amethyst from the ninth position of the high priest's chest to the twelfth position of the wall of the messianic city of Jerusalem, the Lord revealed to me that it is connected with the resurrection power of Jesus because the difference between the numbers 9 and 12 is the number 3 (see Mark 8:31).

Mark 8:31:
31 He then began to teach them that the Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders, the chief priests and the teachers of the law, and that he must be killed and after three days rise again.

In order to be able to live in the resurrection power of Jesus, it is necessary to lay down our own life, which means that we no longer live according to our own will but according to the will of God (see Galatians 2:20).

Galatians 2:20:
20 I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

As already mentioned, the amethyst is associated with “healing and dreaming”.

The King Abimelech And The Dream

Concerning “dreaming”, the Word of God mentions it the first time in Genesis 20:3 where the king Abimelech (note: means “My father is king.”) received a dream from God in the night.
If one studies the word “night” in Hebrew, it becomes clear that it is related to “something to fold” and a “winding stair” (note: hebr. “night” => “lajĕlāh/lajil”; hebr. root word of “night” is “lûl”; excerpt of the Elberfelder Study Bible with the word key number 3997, 3966* and the Strong's concordance with the word key number 3915, 3883).

This explanation makes it clear that if we acknowledge through Jesus Christ the rulership of the Heavenly Father and His order, we haven't to fear the increasing darkness on earth. Rather, we allow Him to live in close relationship with us to be positioned in the governmental alliance of His presence through our obedience and thus to unite His glory on earth.

Let us therefore allow the Holy Spirit to change the character of our dreams by bringing them to a higher spiritual level in order to experience a great change in our personal life. At the point where we need health and strength in our life, we should receive it from Him in faith. All for the glory of the Lamb of God whose wife we are!

Amen and Amen.

In His Wisdom,

Daniel Glimm

During His time on earth Jesus Christ said that His sheep hear His voice and follow (see John 10:27).

John 10:27:
27 My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.

The voice of Jesus can manifest in different ways in our lives, such as in dreams and visions (see Joel 2:28).

Joel 2:28:
28 “And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions.

Important Aspects To Help Understand The Voice Of God

If we want to understand the essence of God's utterances fully we need to know His character and time schedule, which He connected to the people of Israel.

According to Zechariah 2:8b, Israel holds the place of God's eyeball with Jerusalem functioning as His pupil; therefore, we as gentiles benefit from surveying our life and environment through Israel. This way we are able to see God's direction rightly and assess it with enlightened eyes.

Zechariah 2:8b:
... 8b – for whoever touches you (note: Israel) touches the apple of his eye –

The revelation we receive by this approach, contains prophetic direction which helps us position our life in the centre of the will of God and in His peace, just like Epaphras prayed for the saints in Colossae (see Colossians 4:12).

Colossians 4:12:
12 Epaphras, who is one of you and a servant of Christ Jesus, sends greetings. He is always wrestling in prayer for you, that you may stand firm in all the will of God, mature and fully assured.

To hear the voice of God, it is equally important that we:
  1. spend time in God's presence
  2. focus on God's purposes
  3. do not stop to ask God for prophetic guidance
  4. endeavour to grow in love toward other people
  5. keep attention on the signals our body sends
  6. more fully develop our love for the scriptural word of God.
The Training Of The Holy Spirit

When we become aware of God's voice, it is important that we submit to the training of the Holy Spirit in order to be able to interpret the prophetic revelation we receive correctly.
Books about prophecy may be helpful here.
When we, the people of God, receive prophetic revelation from God, it is needed that we understand the meaning of this revelation in order to produce fruit.
At this juncture it is advisable to be connected to a prophet/prophetess or to a mature prophetic person, who will help reveal the prophetic meaning.
Understanding revelation is the core of interpretation of the things God wants to express.

Changing Our Focus

To be able to hear the voice of God rightly we need to come closer to God (note: to seek God), where we sense His presence, even if we don't fully understand the directive of God at this point.
The closer we come to the revealing character of God, the more His presence intensifies: this is connected to better comprehension and also warmth/heat (note.: the character of God is fire; see Hebrews 12:29).

Hebrews 12:29:
… 29 for our “God is a consuming fire.”

The process of coming closer is mostly connected to a change in focus, as we get distracted from our every-day-life, when such an incidence occurs, we get to the bottom of this unusual appearance of the LORD (see Exodus 3:1-4 i.c.w. Matthew 7:7).

Exodus 3:1-4:
1 Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian, and he led the flock to the far side of the wilderness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God.
2 There the angel of the LORD appeared to him in flames of fire from within a bush. Moses saw that though the bush was on fire it did not burn up.
3 So Moses thought, “I will go over and see this strange sight – why the bush does not burn up.”
4 When the LORD saw that he had gone over to look, God called to him from within the bush, “Moses! Moses!” And Moses said, “Here I am.”

Matthew 7:7:
7 “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.

Interpretation Of Revelation

Knowing and understanding the word of God form the base for an exact interpretation of prophetic revelation.
A pure heart as well as walking in the spirit of wisdom and revelation are important, if we want to be able to interpret the prophetic revelation of the LORD correctly (see Matthew 5:8 i.c.w. Ephesians 1:17-18).

Matthew 5:8:
8 Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.

Ephesians 1:17-18:
17 I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better.
18 I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, …

Hindrances, That Prevent Us Understanding The Directive Of God Rightly

We, the people of God, cannot understand His prophetic directive properly, if our hearts are not in unison with God, as is the case, when we are proud or unteachable, for instance.
Our heart attitude can be a further hindrance to rightly interpret revelation, when we do not have the right attitude towards the people we are serving.

Humility And Faith

Humility and faith are fundamental components to transmit the guidance of God to the people in a respectable manner.

Discerning The Signs Of The Time

To be able to discern the signs of the time rightly, we need to be born again and spirit-led and need to give faith priority over acquired knowledge (see John 3:3 i.c.w. Matthew 16:1-3).

John 3:3:
3 Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.”

Matthew 16:1-3:
1 The Pharisees and Sadducees came to Jesus and tested him by asking him to show them a sign from heaven.
2 He replied, “When evening comes, you say, ‘It will be fair weather, for the sky is red,’ 3 and in the morning, ‘Today it will be stormy, for the sky is red and overcast.’ You know how to interpret the appearance of the sky, but you cannot interpret the signs of the times.

Knowledge And Faith

If we place our acquired knowledge over faith, then we move in a knowledge about God, but not in really knowing Him.
To truly know God means, in this context, to have a living relationship with the Heavenly Father through Jesus Christ, the Son of God. This “Knowing-Him” carries eternal life (see John 17:3 i.c.w. John 3:16; John 14:6).

John 17:3:
3 Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.

John 3:16:
16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

John 14:6:
6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

Knowing The Word Of God And The Trained Character

To go further into the subject of discerning the signs of the time, we also need to have a good knowledge of the word of God and a well grounded character.

Take Simon Peter's trance in Acts 10:6.9-23 for instance: it contains things, which encourage our spirit in our walk of faith, if we know God's word well enough.
In the above mentioned scripture the Holy Spirit called Simon Peter's attention to preaching to the heathens three times, while he stayed in someone’s house, who had the same name as he.

Acts 10:6.16.19:
6 He is staying with Simon the tanner, whose house is by the sea.” …
16 This happened three times, and immediately the sheet was taken back to heaven. …
19 While Peter was still thinking about the vision, the Spirit said to him, “Simon, three men are looking for you. …

The name „Simon“ means„answer or God answers“, and in this context the number „3“ stands for the new way in Jesus Christ, who died and rose again, as He was resurrected after three days to sit at the right hand of God.
In Peter's case God answered the prayers of the centurion Cornelius and paid attention on the gifts which he had given freely to the poor (see Acts 10:4).

Acts 10:4:
4 Cornelius stared at him in fear. “What is it, Lord?” he asked. The angel answered, “Your prayers and gifts to the poor have come up as a memorial offering before God.

The following 10 questions can help us to become aware of the signs of God as Simon Peter did:
  1. If the experience were a dream, what would be its meaning?
  2. Regarding the statement, is there a word game hidden in the sign or incidence of the LORD?
  3. Is there an analogy between the symbolic event and the events in the church of Christ, i.e. the personal church/fellowship, nation or the world?
  4. Is there proof that it is a divine point in time?
  5. Do these events coincide with any special dates, such as holidays, biblical feasts or anniversaries?
  6. Are there any special numbers connected to this event?
  7. How do these events conform to the symbolic language of the bible?
  8. Looking at the event, can I see proof of a paradigm shift, especially from pride to humility, in people?
  9. Should I place this event into a prophetic time line?
  10. How does God want me (or others) to respond to the revealing event?
Amen and Amen.
