Don`t get distracted!

There are so many things that attempt to distract you from moving into new realms and deeper dimensions of God’s glory. To enter in you must first be determined within your heart that you want God more than anything else.
Your mind must be focused on your priority of seeking God in prayer, and refusing to let go until you know that He has heard your prayer. To be diverted from this mission is to admit that something of lesser value has a higher priority. Not everything from God can be received with just a simple prayer of petition.

There is a spiritual price tag attached to many divine promises. When the price tag is examined we see that the cost is listed as that of persistent faith, fervent prayer, and an unrelenting attitude that refuses to accept defeat as an option. To receive God’s best, He wants our best.
The devil will attempt to get you to be lazy and not pursue the high calling that God desires for you to walk in. This causes former prophesies spoken over your life to continue to sit on the shelf of complacency while time passes on and you wonder in your heart, “Will the prophecies ever come to pass?” It’s all too easy to let the normal activities of life drown out your inner fire. Before you know it you can find yourself in the same position as Jonah. He was on the wrong ship, going in the wrong direction, and functioning in a wrong attitude. The efforts made to justify his self pity before God had drained him of his remaining energy, thus he falls into a hibernation mode hoping that excessive sleep would offer temporary comfort in eluding his convicted conscience.

Get up!

The captain of the ship found Jonah sleeping and said, “What are you doing sound asleep? Get up!” His spiritual apathy and refusal to obey God at any cost caused him to become dull, tired, and lethargic at the worst possible time. Sometimes we need Jesus, the Captain of our ship, to boldly say to us, “Get up!” Jonah was God’s chosen vessel for this special assignment. God also has important plans for you that are critical in the work of His kingdom. These works were planned before your birth and they are designed by God to establish blessing in your life and extend a reward into your eternal inheritance.

We must be alert spiritually. If you choose to settle for mediocrity you will never fulfill your God-given potential. You must move out of your comfort zone and step into the faith zone. You were not cut out of a cookie cutter mold. Your fingerprints are unique. No one else in the world has your voice pattern. There is something that you can do in a particular way that no other person can perform in a duplicate manner. If someone else were here who was exactly like you, than what reason would there be for God to bring you on the scene? You are one of a kind.
Before you were ever born or came into existence the Bible reveals that God had already preplanned a wonderful life and purpose for you.

“God has made us what we are, and in our union with Christ Jesus He has created us for a life of good deeds, which He has already prepared for us to do.” (Ephesians 2:10 Today’s English Version)

Choose life!

God will not force you to step into this divine plan. As the Scripture says, “This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live (Deuteronomy 30:19).”

You can wrongly choose today to experience death and curses. Death does not jus refer to dying physically. Although this is certainly an aspect of death, this is also referring to the whole package of death. The effects of death are an outcome of the curse that works in the earth as a byproduct of sin. Therefore “death effects” gain access into your life through the practice of sin, resulting in unfortunate experiences that bring sorrow and misery into your life that God never intended for you to experience.

These “death effects” are listed in detail in Deuteronomy the 28th chapter, from verses 15 and to the end of the chapter. By choosing life you take God’s detour of grace around the misery associated with sin.
Apostle Paul spoke of the tremendous benefits of God’s grace. In response to God’s generous grace, how should we live? He brought forth understanding of our intended manner of living through the following verse:

“Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one’s slaves whom you obey, whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness?” (Romans 6:16)

The word “whom” used in this verse is a personal pronoun. In other words, if you are a slave to sin, then you are a slave to a certain person who behind the scenes is producing death. Who is that person? It is Satan, the devil, who is the person who is behind all sin. To be a slave of sin is to be a slave of Satan.
On the other side of the coin, a slave who chooses obedience is a slave to the person who behind the scenes is producing righteousness. This, of course is speaking of God who grants us righteousness by grace which we receive through our faith, and not by our works.

The Greek word “slaves” refers to a “servile condition” in which a person gives himself completely over to another’s will. This is not referring to those who have what we call “slip ups” or infrequent mistakes. We all have need of God’s grace each day for the errors we make, and for the errors we make that we are not even aware of. But here Paul was letting us know that those believers who abandon themselves over to sin are in reality becoming slaves of the devil. This action then leads to the release and working of the “death package” when the curse begins to permeate into every aspect of one’s life. Instead of a life of victory there is consistent defeat.

In light of this we have divine motivation to “lay aside every weight and the sin which so easily entangles us (Hebrews 12:1).” As we keep our eyes on the Lord and work with determination and focus we will see the glory of God continue to increase in our midst. Let us pursue Him with all our hearts, and dare to take another step forward in the plan and destiny that He has predetermined for us to possess and enjoy! Choose obedience, choose, life, and be who God made you to be. God is counting on you, and so are many others.

The Year 2014 is the year 5774 in the Hebrew calendar, and it is known as the year of Ayin Dalet, which means, according to the Hebrew, God has provided a door of deliverance. You will walk on a new path this year.

This year, as you pray, sing, decree, declare, and prophesy the Word of the Lord, new effectual doors of opportunity will open before you. Double doors are now open for you to enter into both heavenly places and earthly opportunities. Overcome the fear of failure to embrace great faith, count the cost and take responsibility for your destiny decisions, and walk through the open doors (Dalet) to gain both visual (Ayin) and physical access.

Here, Jesus is standing at the door (Dalet) of access that leads to the Father (see John 10:7-18). If you hear His voice, answer the call of invitation; He will come in and dine with you. His voice (the Living Word) leads to the prosperous path of life.

Also this year, particularly during the month of April (the time of Aviv or the month of Nisan in the Hebrew calendar), it is important to repent of all defilement. Turn away from dead works in order to enter into a new season of prosperity. Cleanse your life to obtain the manifold wisdom and promises of God.

Aviv and Nisan occur during the time of our month of April. The Hebrew word Aviv describes when the barley grain has reached maturity, and is also represented by an open portal or window. Aviv means that Heaven has opened a gate of blessing to pour into the springtime of your life as you properly align yourself with God's timing (see 1 Chronicles 12:32).

Passover also occurs in April, at sundown on Nisan 14, which commemorates the freedom of Israel's exodus from Egyptian slavery; the Feast of Unleavened Bread begins at sundown on Nisan 15, and sundown the 16th of Nisan is the beginning of harvest and sacrifice to God. These are worth studying and using as prayer directives in your life during the month of April.

Vision Awaits You Outside The Safe, Comfortable Door Of Your Enclosed Tent

Returning to the imagery of the year Ayin Dalet, you must first know that the Hebrew alphabet is a character picture language, which means that each letter within it possesses layers of rich graphic imagery; each letter also has a numerical value. In this way, God designed the Hebrew calendar to prophesy events and opportunities that avail themselves during particular time periods of the year. We are four years in to a ten-year period of the "seer anointing" – this year of which is Ayin Dalet, and which has the numerical value of 74. What does that mean for us today?

Ayin is the letter symbol for "eyes that see" in order to understand and obey through God's divine providence. Ayin is also associated with the number 70. Thus Ayin means to us in this 10-year period of the seer anointing, an ability to perceive a fountain of wisdom in order to gain clarity and cultivate true prophetic insights.

With these eyes that see, we have two eyes in which to see either good or evil: i.e. to perceive things from an optimistic, "faith which works through love and hope in heavenly truth" perspective, or a pessimistic, "fearful" perspective. It is said that eyes have an ability to see, but they do not have a voice to speak, thus we are to pray what we see God showing us, while remaining in a state of humbly trusting in God to continue to show the way.

The Dalet and Dalet words can represent a honeycomb. This month, in April, you can expect to taste and see that the Lord is good! The letter Dalet is associated with the number 4, and is mainly a symbolic picture of a moving back into or passing out through a hanging tent door. When we retreat into our tent, home, or proverbial cave, we isolate ourselves by entering into a limited place; the walls and structures confine and cut us off from others.

In Genesis 15:1-6, the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision (which reminds us of Ayin, the eyes that see), saying, "Do not fear, Abram, I am a shield to you; your reward shall be very great."

A frustrated, fruitless Abram, who was about to lose hope of ever obtaining the promise of a son, lamented to God saying, "'O Lord God, what will You give me, since I am childless, and the heir of my house is Eliezer of Damascus?' And Abram said, 'Since You have given no offspring to me, one born in my house is my heir.' Then behold, the word of the Lord came to him, saying, 'This man will not be your heir; but one who will come forth from your own body, he shall be your heir.'"

In response to Abram's cry for help, God took him outside the tent and said, "'Now look toward the heavens, and count the stars, if you are able to count them.' And He said to him, 'So shall your descendants be.' Then he believed in the Lord; and He reckoned it to him as righteousness."

Vision awaits you outside the safe, comfortable walls of your enclosed tent; in God there are no limits. In the fullness of time every promise is fulfilled if we continue to run forward in love and faint not. The word of the Lord was confirmed twice to Abram and Sarah in Genesis 18:9-15, so expect double confirmations to come during this Ayin season of the double doors.

Re-Envision Heaven's Possibilities

God cannot lie. He is faithful to keep His Word. In making a covenant with Abram, God instructed him to divide the animals in two (see Genesis 15). Abram was to look at God's promise with an eye of faith, not with an evil eye of doubt and unbelief. God desires that we look to Him with a united, single focus to re-envision Heaven's possibilities. The divided animals created a river of blood for God to walk through to form a renewed covenant of promise. The undivided birds reminded Abram to lift his eyes to the Heavens from which his strength came.

What are the promises you have believed God for? Have you wavered in doubt or unbelief? Do you need to walk with Jesus through His Blood to be washed clean again? Have you been held captive in a tent of hopeless depression and isolation?

Repent, so you can clearly see the grand expanse of God's promises in the sky above and hear the heavens declare the glory of the Lord.

Transition With God: Step Outside the Tent

Tents are transitory homes that allow us to follow God when His Spirit moves or transitions. Transition is an act or process of changing from one place, state, form, or activity to another; a passage from one subject or existence to connect to another; a modulation. To transition from the inside to the outside of the low hanging tent door, one must humbly bow to escape the limited confinements of the enclosure. (Photo via Flickr)

By bowing we gain access to an expansive world. By bending we also gain a full view of ourselves: Our feet (which carry us through the journey of life); the hands (which achieve feats, worship God, develop relationship), arms (which demonstrate strength, ability to reach to God for help), and our torso (wholeness in body, health in soul, and strength of spirit to serve God and man).

Steps To Take To Enter Our Door of Destiny

Joshua developed an intimate relationship with the Lord, so God promised to be with Joshua in the same manner He had been with Moses (see Exodus 33:9-11 and Deuteronomy 31:14-16). There in the secret place, or in the tent of meeting as Joshua and Moses, we gain revelation knowledge from God before moving out to fulfill God's plans. You are entrusted with power and granted authority to activate your commissioning to complete certain tasks, functions, or duties that no one else can do.

To reach our destiny we must honestly reflect upon who we are: 1) Know where we came from, 2) celebrate who we are now, 3) and plan for who we are called to become in the future.

This is the discipline we must incorporate in order to accomplish the purposes of God. We must repent of sin that limits our influence, replacing it with God's promises. Determine to live life to the fullest; mentor, disciple, and empower others. The young and old generations will join together in unity as one to perform great exploits. The older imparts wisdom to the younger so they can carry the vision further (see Deuteronomy 31:7-8).

Prayer To Offer In This Ayin Season

Pray with me:

Dear Lord, I ask for the blessing of the open door to form in this season of Ayin Dalet – that every door that is before me, both in Heaven and on earth, will swing wide open. Doors that were closed to me in the past, preventing my promises from coming forth, will no longer be barriers, but they open now as double doors of provision, so that I am able to enter in and go through to regain the time that was stolen. Circumstances can no longer hold me hostage.

Let the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be pleasing unto You, O Lord, so that they may birth the promises You have given to me years ago.

I pray that every obstacle, hindrance, or any form of opposition will fall at my feet. I ask for God Himself to grant me wisdom and divine revelation to solve every mystery and train my hands to worship and war in a new way.

Deliver me from the wilderness. Lead me out of limitations into new territories. Walk with me along the still waters and green pastures so I may prosper and taste Your sweet honey. Let me commune with You so that I behold You in a new and unusual way (see Luke 24; John 20).

Remove every thing and person that tries to bring limitation.
Give me eyes that see beyond the natural into the divine supernatural (see Zechariah 14:7). Enlighten the path of purpose that leads me to fulfill my destiny in Christ. Let me see a new door of hope and the expanse of every divine possibility that lies before me.

Let me apprehend the power of love and a strong mind that is renewed by the Living Word. Open the door of my tent so that I may both see and hear the voice of my Shepherd. Open my eyes to see the angelic realm (see Daniel 8-9) that watches over and protects me. (Photo via Flickr)

Help me receive and understand the revelation of how to walk in the fulfillment of my promises. Grant me a sound mind and steadfast emotions so that I may conquer all fear and doubt.
Let the strength of my body be renewed so I can run as in the days of my youth. Give me a new realm of power and authority (see Acts 28). Sickness and disease have no place in me. Refresh and renew me throughout the watches of the night that I may awake with the expectations of miracles (see Mark 14; Psalm 90).

Jesus, I ask that You enable me to stay steadfast upon the path You have designed and give me clarity for my future (see Matthew 16:2). Let me grow in grace and the knowledge of You as my Lord and Savior so that I may apprehend the largeness of the future that You have reserved for me. Amen.
