Passover And The Love Of The Father

Introduction

In the current Gregorian year of 2020 (biblical year 5780) Passover is celebrated in the month of April (from the evening of the 08'th of April – 16'th of April); this is the biblical month of Abib => means “ear“/Nissan => means “opening, beginning“.
Abib/Nissan is the biblical month, in which we celebrate the blood of the Lamb of God (Pessach/Passover => means “to pass over/by“) as bride of Christ, and where we enter deeper into the land of our promise.
It is the blood of the Lamb of God that led us out of slavery into His glorious freedom as children of God and that protects us in the judgments of God (see Exodus 12:5-7.12-14 i.c.w. Romans 8:21).

Exodus 12:5-7.12-14:
5 The animals you choose must be year-old males without defect, and you may take them from the sheep or the goats.
6 Take care of them until the fourteenth day of the month, when all the members of the community of Israel must slaughter them at twilight.
7 Then they are to take some of the blood and put it on the sides and tops of the door frames of the houses where they eat the lambs. …
12 “On that same night I will pass through Egypt and strike down every firstborn of both people and animals, and I will bring judgement on all the gods of Egypt. I am the LORD.
13 The blood will be a sign for you on the houses where you are, and when I see the blood, I will pass over you. No destructive plague will touch you when I strike Egypt.
14 “This is a day you are to commemorate; for the generations to come you shall celebrate it as a festival to the LORD – a lasting ordinance.

Romans 8:21:
… 21 that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the freedom and glory of the children of God.

Protection in the Midst of Judgment

When God sets a time for righteous judgment over the enemy, as He did at Passover with the Pharaoh and the Egyptians by killing every firstborn from man to cattle, He first issues a warning and at the same time creates the means for a way out to stay safe in the midst of the righteous verdict (see Exodus 11:4-7).

Exodus 11:4-7:
4 So Moses said, “This is what the LORD says: ‘About midnight I will go throughout Egypt.
5 Every firstborn son in Egypt will die, from the firstborn son of Pharaoh, who sits on the throne, to the firstborn son of the female slave, who is at her hand mill, and all the firstborn of the cattle as well.
6 There will be loud wailing throughout Egypt – worse than there has ever been or ever will be again.
7 But among the Israelites not a dog will bark at any person or animal.’ Then you will know that the LORD makes a distinction between Egypt and Israel.

The escape from the manifestation of the righteous judgment is connected to obeying the instruction of God and to using the blood of the Lamb of God (note: to walk in forgiveness), that is Jesus Christ (see Exodus 12:13 i.c.w. 1 Corinthians 5:7).

Exodus 12:13:
13 The blood will be a sign for you on the houses where you are, and when I see the blood, I will pass over you. No destructive plague will touch you when I strike Egypt.

1 Corinthians 5:7:
7 Get rid of the old yeast, so that you may be a new unleavened batch – as you really are. For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed.

The Importance of Obeying God

Obedience is the expression of true love towards Jesus Christ and the Heavenly Father (see John 14:23).

John 14:23:
23 Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.

Had the people of Israel not obeyed the instruction of God conveyed by Moses to slaughter a year-old male lamb without defect, and had they not put its blood on the sides and top of the door frames of their houses, all their male firstborn – man and animal alike – would have died.
Had the Egyptians in reverse put the blood of the lamb on their doors, their male firstborns would have stayed protected.
Relating to this conclusion I don't see it as coincidence that Exodus 12:38 mentions “many other people” who also left Egypt together with the people of Israel.
I am assuming that these people had the blood of the lamb on the doors of their houses too, or stayed in the houses of the Israelites at the time of judgment and hence were protected.

Exodus 12:38:
38 Many other people went up with them, and also large droves of livestock, both flocks and herds.

One can assume that because of this protection “many other people” decided to leave Egypt with the Israelites.

The Biblical Month of Abib/Nissan and the Love of the Father

The biblical month of “Abib/Nissan” is the time frame that points to the love of the Father and to the new cycle in the greater freedom of the sons of God (see John 3:16-17 i.c.w. John 10:9; Romans 8:21).

John 3:16-17:
16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

John 10:9:
9 I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. They will come in and go out, and find pasture.

Romans 8:21:
… 21 that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the freedom and glory of the children of God.

For this reason (the love of the Father is the highest instance of love), God directed Moses to arrange all months to follow this month (see Exodus 12:1-2).

Exodus 12:1-2:
1 The LORD said to Moses and Aaron in Egypt, 2 “This month is to be for you the first month, the first month of your year.

Jesus Christ, the Love of the Father

Life in the love of the Father, which is Jesus Christ, is the key to walking in His set time which is linked to the center of His will.
We should not be foolish like Queen Vashti for example, who lived in the time of Esther; she didn't appear before the king at the appointed time of feasting, but followed her own notions which resulted in the loss of her regality (see Esther 1:5.10-12.19.21).

Esther 1:5.10-12.19.21:
5 When these days were over, the king gave a banquet, lasting seven days, in the enclosed garden of the king’s palace, for all the people from the least to the greatest who were in the citadel of Susa. …
10 On the seventh day, when King Xerxes was in high spirits from wine, he commanded the seven eunuchs who served him – Mehuman, Biztha, Harbona, Bigtha, Abagtha, Zethar and Karkas – 11 to bring before him Queen Vashti, wearing her royal crown, in order to display her beauty to the people and nobles, for she was lovely to look at.
12 But when the attendants delivered the king’s command, Queen Vashti refused to come. …
19 “Therefore, if it pleases the king, let him issue a royal decree and let it be written in the laws of Persia and Media, which cannot be repealed, that Vashti is never again to enter the presence of King Xerxes. Also let the king give her royal position to someone else who is better than she. …
21 The king and his nobles were pleased with this advice, so the king did as Memukan proposed.

The Change in the Center of the Will of God

If however we are moving in the center of God's will, which also implies insight into His time cycles, we will do the right thing at the right time with the right people.
Such conduct is strategic and guarantees success!

The Lamb of God and the Deep Insight into the Encrypted Areas of God

The feast of Passover is not only a feast where we remember the deliverance of the people of Israel from the bondage of Egypt; this feast also points to Jesus Christ who is the slain Lamb of God, whose appearance is connected with right of access to the encrypted prophesy (see Revelation 5:4-5; Revelation 6:1).

Revelation 5:4-6:
4 I wept and wept because no one was found who was worthy to open the scroll or look inside.
5 Then one of the elders said to me, “Do not weep! See, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has triumphed. He is able to open the scroll and its seven seals.”
6 Then I saw a Lamb, looking as if it had been slain, standing at the center of the throne, encircled by the four living creatures and the elders. The Lamb had seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God sent out into all the earth.

Revelation 6:1:
1 I watched as the Lamb opened the first of the seven seals. Then I heard one of the four living creatures say in a voice like thunder, “Come!”

When we acknowledge Jesus Christ as the crucified and resurrected one in our lives, we are qualified by God to recognize things which He had hidden from our spiritual eyes and sealed over a period of time, at the right time in accordance with His will. The Heavenly Father wants that we move in His seven-fold spirit (note: His “seven eyes“; see Isaiah11:2), as well as in the structure of the seven horns of the Lamb of God, which comprise His power, His wealth, His wisdom, His strength, His honor, His glory and His praise (see Revelation 5:6.12).

Revelation 5:6.12:
6 Then I saw a Lamb, looking as if it had been slain, standing at the center of the throne, encircled by the four living creatures and the elders. The Lamb had seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God sent out into all the earth. …
… 12 In a loud voice they were saying: “Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise!”

The Appearance of the Lamb and His Secrets

Among other things, the appearance of the lamb is a sign for Jesus Christ revealing Himself in His kingship.
He is our king and our ruler! It may sound unusual for some, but the Lamb of God is full of attributes of revelation (see Revelation 5:6).

Revelation 5:6:
6 Then I saw a Lamb, looking as if it had been slain, standing at the center of the throne, encircled by the four living creatures and the elders. The Lamb had seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God sent out into all the earth.

The attributes of the Lamb of God carry the following characteristics:
  1. White wool => purity and righteousness
  2. Seven horns => rulership/authority of God (note: power, wealth, wisdom, strength, honor, glory and praise)
  3. Seven Eyes => revelation of God (note: The seven horns reveal the seven levels of authority of the lamb and together with the seven eyes they reveal the seven characteristics of the Spirit of God; see Isaiah 11:1-2 i.c.w. Revelation 5:12)
  4. Scars (note: as slain; sacrifice of Jesus at the cross)
  5. Silence of the Lamb => presence of the kingship of God (note: the lamb stood among the elders at the center of the throne)
The Lamp of God's Kingship

To go along with the Lamb of God and to stay under the lamp of God's kingship is important for us as saints. The lamp of the kingship of God is the lamp of the lamb (see Revelation 21:23)!

Revelation 21:23:
23 The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp.

The lamp of the lamb carries the light of renewal to progress in a new structure of the LORD.
This new structure is the complex of the heavenly Jerusalem, which is made up of the living stones of kings and priests and is built up with saints who are in a love covenant with Jesus Christ, the bridegroom of eternity. By this they rule in authority from heaven (note: realm of the spirit) down to earth (see 1 Peter 2:5 i.c.w. Revelation 21:2.9b.14.19)

1 Peter 2:5:
… 5 you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

Revelation 21:2.9b.14.19:
2 I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. …
9b “Come, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb.” …
14 The wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb. …
19 The foundations of the city walls were decorated with every kind of precious stone.

Amen and Amen.

In His Wisdom,
