The Two Types of Water

We are currently - in biblical times - in the spiritual dimension of Reuben, which is a dimension of seeing and recognizing within the sonship of Christ, the firstborn among many brethren, and is connected with the rising water. In this context in the month of Tammuz, it can help us to take a closer look at the element of water and its course in Israel in a spiritual understanding (cf. Genesis 49:3-4a i.c.w. Romans 8:29).

Genesis 49:3-4a:
3 ‘Reuben, you are my firstborn, my might, the first sign of my strength, excelling in honour, excelling in power.
4a Turbulent as the waters, …

Romans 8:29:
29 For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers [and sisters].

We know that everything that God has created on earth is a shadow of what God’s invisible being in heaven is like. It is expressed in His creation on earth (cf. Romans 1:19-20a).

Romans 1:19-20a:
19 since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them.
20a For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities – his eternal power and divine nature – have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, …

The ‘Male’ and ‘Female’ Water

In a spiritual context, it can be said that there are two types of water, the ‘male waters’ and the ‘female waters’. The ‘male waters’ are the river structure, whereas the ‘female waters’ are the ‘sea’ and ‘lake structure’.

In relation to Israel, this means that the ‘male water’ in the form of the Jordan runs as fresh water from north to south and is also a confirmation of God’s prophetic instruction, because the LORD confirmed His word, which He spoke through Samuel from Dan which is located in the north to Beersheba located in the south (cf. 1 Samuel 3:19-20).

1 Samuel 3:19-20:
19 The Lord was with Samuel as he grew up, and he let none of Samuel’s words fall to the ground.
20 And all Israel from Dan to Beersheba recognised that Samuel was attested as a prophet of the Lord.

The ‘female waters’, on the other hand, appear as the ‘Sea of Galilee’ in the form of fresh water and the Dead Sea in the form of salt water. The difference between these two bodies of water is that the Sea of Galilee is characterized as taking in the form of ‘receiving’ as well as ‘giving’, whereas the Dead Sea is currently ‘taking’ in that it does not provide drinking water and species-rich life of many fish.

Thus, the different types of water as river and sea/lake point to the principle of giving or sowing and receiving in the form of harvest (cf. 2 Corinthians 9:6-11).

2 Corinthians 9:6-11:
6 Remember this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.
7 Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
8 And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.
9 As it is written: ‘They have freely scattered their gifts to the poor; their righteousness endures for ever.’
10 Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness.
11 You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.

Allegorically speaking, the river is connected with the realm of ‘authority, order, ...’ and the sea/lake is connected with ‘care, life, protection, ...’. This kind of spiritual symbiosis can also be recognized between the throne room of God, connected to the crystal sea, and the structure of the bride of the Lamb as a glorious city in which the river flows from the crystal sea (cf. Revelation 22:1).

Revelation 22:1:
1 Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb …

The ‘New Angels’ and the Release of Revelation

Since the ‘Jordan’ is also described as ‘the one descending’, we can recognize in this the statement of Jesus, who spoke to Nathanael and the people of Israel about the movement of the ‘new angels’ from His domain (cf. John 1:49-51).

John 1:49-51:
49 Then Nathanael declared, ‘Rabbi, you are the Son of God; you are the king of Israel.’
50 Jesus said, ‘You believe because I told you I saw you under the fig-tree. You will see greater things than that.’
51 He then added, ‘Very truly I tell you, you will see “heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending on” the Son of Man.’

When the angels ascended and descended over ‘the route’, of the way, the truth and the life, this means nothing else than that there is an exchange of angelic entities in the natural realm, bringing fresh winds of revelation to the people of God, that is, to those who are in Christ Jesus (cf. John 14:6).

John 14:6:
6 Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No-one comes to the Father except through me. …’

The release of the revelations of Christ from His domain results in a begetting in our spirit that brings forth fruitfulness and life.
Among other things, this is about His righteousness (Note: ‘Dan’ => ‘judge’) and His promises, even those that are not yet known to us (Note: symbol for ‘Beersheba’ => ‘well of an oath – well of the seven’). As a result, our spirit like the water is stirred up and the promise gains vitality in us, similar to the fish in the Sea of Galilee, which need the inflow of water from the Jordan to be able to stay in the depths. This vitality includes blessing, expansion and freshness.

The Stirring of the Spirit and the Sound of the Harp

In addition, the stirring of our spirit results in a new sound of worship that leads us to continue on the path of righteousness and enter more deeply into the promises of God.

The ‘Sea of Genezareth’ also known as the Sea of Gallilee can be translated as ‘harp’. It was the sound of the harp that, in the life of the prophet Elisha, during a time of conflict, caused the hand of God to come upon the prophet’s spirit so that he prophesied God’s plan to the kings (cf. 2 Kings 3:15-16).

2 Kings 3:15-16:
15 But now bring me a harpist.’ While the harpist was playing, the hand of the Lord came on Elisha
16 and he said, ‘This is what the Lord says: I will fill this valley with pools of water. …’

It is the high praise that strengthens faith despite any form of resistance and brings it forward (cf. Numbers 10:13-14a i.c.w. Judges 1:2; Revelation 14:2-3a).

Numbers 10:13-14a:
13 They set out, this first time, at the Lord’s command through Moses.
14a The divisions of the camp of Judah went first, under their standard. …

Judges 1:1-2:
1 After the death of Joshua, the Israelites asked the Lord, ‘Who of us is to go up first to fight against the Canaanites?’
2 The Lord answered, ‘Judah shall go up; I have given the land into their hands.’

Revelation 14:2-3a:
2 And I heard a sound from heaven like the roar of rushing waters and like a loud peal of thunder. The sound I heard was like that of harpists playing their harps.
3a And they sang a new song before the throne …

The Sequence of God’s Work

As we allow the ministering spirits of God to move in our lives by faith for the cause of the Kingdom, the Holy Spirit within us begins to renew the realm of our communication, fine-tuning our discernment, revealing the favour of God to enjoy as we apply what we have learned from the past and move forward in reigning with Christ (cf. Colossians 3:1).

Colossians 3:1:
1 Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.

In our going forward with Christ, it does not fail that we reach stages where it is necessary for us to lay down things such as outworn ways of seeing (Note: symbolizing the Dead Sea) and express ourselves in trust to God the Father in worship to see with a new spiritual perspective (cf. Galatians 2:20 i.c.w. Ephesians 4:23-24).

Galatians 2:20:
20 I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

Ephesians 4:23-24:
… 23 to be made new in the attitude of your minds; 24 and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.

This is what the tribes of Israel teach us in this context, among others, whose land allotted by God is connected to the aforementioned waters, which are the following seven tribes from north to south:

  1. Naphtali,
  2. Issachar,
  3. Manasseh,
  4. Gad,
  5. Benjamin,
  6. Judah,
  7. Reuben.
When we allow the work of God to affect our lives in the form of the descent from ‘north to south’, we enter a new awakening that leads us into spiritual acceleration, as it is written in Song of Songs 4:16a.

Song of Songs 4:16a:
16a Awake [Note: awaken], north wind, and come [Note: hurry up], south wind! …

This time challenges us as the people of God to awaken on different levels of our lives, becoming a movement of God on earth on a scale of influence and forward movement that has never been seen before.

Amen and Amen.
