The Twelve Filled Baskets and the Taste of Biblical Times

In order to recognize the value of time according to God’s will, a renewing of our mind and spirit is first required to help us understand the redemption of time. It is about being clothed with the presence of the Savior Jesus Christ and thereby redeeming the values (Note: promise) of the Heavenly Father held captive by the enemy from the respective time (cf. Ephesians 5:15-16 i.c.w. Romans 12:2; Ephesians 4:23-24; Galatians 3:27).

Ephesians 5:15-16 (KJV):
15 See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, 16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
17 Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.
18 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; 19 Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; …

Romans 12:2:
2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – his good, pleasing and perfect will.

Ephesians 4:23-24:
… 23 to be made new in the attitude of your minds; 24 and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.

Galatians 3:27:
… 27 for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.

The so-called redeeming of time is connected to God’s biblical timing, which includes the ability if the discerning of the times, like the tribe of Issachar (cf. 1 Chronicles 12:32).

1 Chronicles 12:32:
… 32 from Issachar, men who understood the times and knew what Israel should do – 200 chiefs, with all their relatives under their command; …

The Power of the Prophetic Word and the Manifestation of the Presence of Heaven

It is said in 2 Peter 1:19 that the promise of God in the form of the already written prophetic word is orientation. If we pay attention to the already appointed promise of the Father to us, it leads to the manifestation of a higher heavenly presence or the heaven (Note: morning star) in us. This presence brings about a new dimension of time in our spirit man, because the future is already placed in us by His grace as the stars were created by God before man (cf. Genesis 1:14-19). This is announcing the new day of God’s promise for us (cf. Ephesians 2:10).

2 Peter 1:19:
19 We also have the prophetic message as something completely reliable, and you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts.

Genesis 1:14-19:
14 And God said, “Let there be lights in the vault of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark sacred times, and days and years, 15 and let them be lights in the vault of the sky to give light on the earth.” And it was so.
16 God made two great lights – the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars.
17 God set them in the vault of the sky to give light on the earth, 18 to govern the day and the night, and to separate light from darkness. And God saw that it was good.
19 And there was evening, and there was morning – the fourth day.

Ephesians 2:10:
10 For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

This results in us making the right decisions according to the will of God with enlightened eyes of our heart (cf. Ephesians 1:18).

Ephesians 1:18:
18 I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, …

As disciples of Christ, we must internalize the prophetic Word of God in order to be enabled to finish an old time and enter a new dimension of time.

This is why we need to eat the Word of God with its promises by receiving it in our spirit man. This means that Christ is manifest as the Word of God in the form of bread (cf. John 6:35a.51a-b).

John 6:35a.51a-b:
35a Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. …
51a-b I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats this bread will live forever. …

As God’s people, we continue to enter periods of time in which the LORD completes a cycle of time to begin in a new way that is accompanied by greater wisdom and knowledge. These result in a new perspective of how Jesus Christ was previously known.

We know that Jesus did not appear to people in all the different facets (Note: manna/bread from heaven, Lamb of God, Son of the Father, Alpha and Omega, …) in one moment, but at specific moments in time.

The Word of God is an eternal light and carries the life of Jesus Christ, which can shine on people in different facets (cf. John 1:1-4).

John 1:1-4:
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 He was with God in the beginning.
3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.
4 In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind.

It is the testimony of Jesus that is the spirit of prophecy and resembles a stream of light that flows out of Christ, the Word of God, in due time (cf. Revelation 19:10e i.c.w. Psalm 119:105).

Revelation 19:10e:
“… 10e For it is the Spirit of prophecy who bears testimony to Jesus.”

Psalm 119:105:
105 Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.

This influence of light can be challenging at first, as it moves with the presence of the Spirit on the water to break through the darkness which is resistance of the enemy as well as lack of knowledge (cf. Genesis 1:2-5 i.c.w. Matthew 14:25-26).

Genesis 1:2-5:
2 Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.
3 And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.
4 God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness.
5 God called the light “day,” and the darkness he called “night.” And there was evening, and there was morning – the first day.

Matthew 14:25-26:
25 Shortly before dawn Jesus went out to them, walking on the lake.
26 When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. “It’s a ghost,” they said, and cried out in fear.

The Light Influence of Prophetic Revelation and the ‘Twofold Twelve’

This light influence in the form of prophetic revelation moves with the birth of the new crowned age, since Jesus was previously alone on a mountain with the Father.

Since God the Father is spirit and the beginning of time is equivalent to the top of a mountain, it can be said that Jesus brought forth a new phase of time according to the will of the Father, which was accompanied by a greater spiritual quality and a greater measure of blessing. This is according to the biblical Hebrew perspective as the beginning of the new biblical year in God’s blessing cycle is called ‘Rosh ha-Shanah’, which means ‘peak/head of the year’.

It was no coincidence that before Jesus went up the mountain, there was a multiplication of bread beforehand, with twelve baskets of bread left over, and He instructed His twelve disciples to get into the boat and to cross over the lake to the other shore, indicating a transition (cf. Matthew 14:20-23).

Matthew 14:20-23:
20 They all ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up twelve basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over.
21 The number of those who ate was about five thousand men, besides women and children.
22 Immediately Jesus made the disciples get into the boat and go on ahead of him to the other side, while he dismissed the crowd.
23 After he had dismissed them, he went up on a mountainside by himself to pray. Later that night, he was there alone, …

This number of the ‘twofold twelve’ is an indication of the quality of each biblical month within the biblical year. The LORD longs for us to taste His kindness and goodness within each biblical month in Christ Jesus, the living bread (cf. Psalm 34:8).

Psalm 34:8:
8 Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.

‘Tasting the time’ through the truth of God’s Word, which is Christ Jesus, results in our discerning of the will and plan of the Heavenly Father in the particular time as we reach out to what lies ahead.

This is akin to the actions of the twelve disciples who, during the time of the headwind, thrust their oars into the water, namely their future, in mutual agreement, in order to bring it into their present and thereby bring a visitation of God into their time (cf. Matthew 14:24 i.c.w. Mark 6:48).

Matthew 14:24:
… 24 and the boat was already a considerable distance from land, buffeted by the waves because the wind was against it.

Mark 6:48:
48 He saw the disciples straining at the oars, because the wind was against them. Shortly before dawn he went out to them, walking on the lake. He was about to pass by them, …

This visitation of God was accompanied by a timing of the so-called ‘open door’ and the new day, since the day begins with the evening in a biblical context (cf. Genesis 1:5b).

Genesis 1:5b:
… 5b And there was evening, and there was morning – the first day.

Jesus Christ, who is also the ‘door’, appeared in His spirit nature to the disciples in the fourth night watch, so that they were frightened in order to realign themselves.

Matthew 14:25-26:
25 Shortly before dawn Jesus went out to them, walking on the lake.
26 When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. “It’s a ghost,” they said, and cried out in fear.

The number ‘4’ is associated with the Hebrew letter ‘Daleth’, which corresponds to an ‘open tent door’ (cf. John 10:9).

John 10:9:
9 I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. They will come in and go out, and find pasture.

It can be assumed that the twelve disciples didn’t take enough loaves from the twelve baskets into the boat with them, which is clear from another biblical passage. By this we can see that they did not internalize the complete truth of God’s word. And because of this they were in a lack of knowledge about Christ who wanted to open up a greater dimension of Him as the truth of God’s word to them.

This lack of knowledge resulted in fear in the hearts of the disciples, causing Jesus to speak comfort into their hearts (cf. Matthew 14:26-27).

Matthew 14:26-27:
26 When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. “It’s a ghost,” they said, and cried out in fear.
27 But Jesus immediately said to them: “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.”

The Measure of Time of the Twelve Biblical Months and the Walk Therein

Now, considering the disciples as the time measure of the twelve months of a biblical year, it shows that ignorance of the revelatory truth within the biblical months can result in concern that keeps us from stepping into the revelatory truth of the Word of God within the biblical time.

Since Jesus Christ came to redeem, He, in the form of the Alpha and Omega, is the One who helps us to be freed from a lack of knowledge of the Heavenly Father’s promise within the months, so that we move forward in His wisdom and confidence, which is also accompanied by acceleration within the given promise of the Father (cf. John 6:20-21).

John 6:20-21:
20 But he said to them, “It is I; don’t be afraid.”
21 Then they were willing to take him into the boat, and immediately the boat reached the shore where they were heading.

It is necessary that we allow our understanding of time, as Peter responded to Jesus’ command by leaving the boat and going to Him on the water, being detached by Him as the Alpha and Omega in order to come into alignment with the Father’s high thoughts and ways. This approach equates to the deliverance of the people of Israel out of Egypt by the blood of the Lamb in the time frame of ‘Passover’ during the biblical month of ‘Abib | Nissan’ and us as believers from the Gentile nations out of the world (cf. Matthew 14:28-29 i.c.w. Exodus 12:2; Exodus 13:4; Isaiah 55:8-9).

Matthew 14:28-29:
28 “Lord, if it’s you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.”
29 “Come,” he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus.

Exodus 12:2:
2 “This month (Note: Abib | Nissan) is to be for you the first month, the first month of your year.

Exodus 13:4:
4 Today, in the month of Aviv, you are leaving.

Isaiah 55:8-9:
8 “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord.
9 “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.

The taking of Peter’s hand by Jesus equals to the synchronization of the two time cycles of God (Note: the cycle of blessing => begins with the month of ‘Tishrei | Ethanim’ and the cycle of redemption => begins with the month of ‘Abib | Nissan’), which are designed to carry the Father much like the wheels of God’s throne chariot.

This carrying encourages us to glorify the Father in time according to His will and plan by reaching forward, namely the heavenly calling in Christ Jesus and walking in it with a divine understanding of the biblical months (cf. Ezekiel 1:12.20-21 i.c.w. Philippians 3:13-14; Matthew 14:32-33).

Ezekiel 1:12.20-21:
12 Each one went straight ahead. Wherever the spirit would go, they would go, without turning as they went. …
20 Wherever the spirit would go, they would go, and the wheels would rise along with them, because the spirit of the living creatures was in the wheels.
21 When the creatures moved, they also moved; when the creatures stood still, they also stood still; and when the creatures rose from the ground, the wheels rose along with them, because the spirit of the living creatures was in the wheels.

Philippians 3:13-14:
13 Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

Matthew 14:32-33:
32 And when they (Note: Jesus and Peter) climbed into the boat, the wind died down.
33 Then those who were in the boat worshiped him, saying, “Truly you are the Son of God.”.

Each disciple is invited to examine for himself to what extent the Holy Spirit has already helped to get to this realization, to become one with the biblical time cycles and times of God, which include two annual cycles. Only from this turning to the time schedule of God in the power of His word lies hidden this blessing to recognize the goodness of God, which can be ‘tasted’ by our spirit in every biblical month, independent of circumstances.

Amen and Amen.

In His Wisdom,
