As God’s people, it happens that we enter phases that are like birthing processes, where the LORD wants to bring something to birth through His Spirit (cf. Isaiah 42:14).
Isaiah 42:14:
14 ‘For a long time I have kept silent, I have been quiet and held myself back. But now, like a woman in childbirth, I cry out, I gasp and pant. …’
In the way that new life grows in the womb, that is, in secret, this phase resembles the presentation of a beautifully wrapped gift that is delivered to its addressee (cf. Psalm 127:3).
Psalm 127,3:
3 Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him.
The gift is not a gift for a single person, but it is a gift to His church – the Ekklēsia.
The Heavenly Father sent His Son Jesus to the people of Israel and in the similar way He transfers the hidden things to His Ekklēsia at this time, which is accompanied with wisdom and knowledge (cf. Colossians 2:2-3).
Colossians 2:2-3:
2 My goal is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, 3 in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
The hidden is something that the LORD has already birthed in the Spirit and is unfolding more and more in the time to come.
When a gift is presented, we can see the wrapped gift, but we do not know in detail what is inside.
The Phase of Transition to Transfer
Similarly, we are in a phase of transition to the transfer of manifestation, which involves transformation and is akin to the power and might of the great shepherd leading His flock into a new dimension of the spirit.
In this, obedience to the voice of the great Shepherd is of special importance (cf. John 10:27).
John 10:27:
27 My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.
This is God’s call to His Ekklēsia, leading out of the interpersonal relationship into the realm of the glorious freedom with Jesus Christ, in order to enter into a new realm of the Spirit in Christ Jesus (cf. John 10:2-3.9).
John 10:2-3.9:
2 The one who enters by the gate (Note: of the sheepfold) is the shepherd of the sheep.
3 The gatekeeper opens the gate for him, and the sheep listen to his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. …
9 I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. They will come in and go out, and find pasture.
Based on Jesus’ statement in John 10, the Lord revealed that there will be a stopping of Christ the Shepherd to turn around and reveal His face as well as to take stock of those who follow Him. As a result, He allows the presence of His face to shine upon them, leading to restoration (cf. Numbers 6:25 i.c.w. Psalm 80:3).
Numbers 6:25:
… 25 the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; …
Psalm 80:3:
3 Restore us, O God; make your face shine on us, that we may be saved.
Through this turning of Jesus, there is a transformation which follows as Christ in the facet of the Redeemer grants access to a higher spiritual level to His people who follow Him unreservedly.
Here Jesus isn’t just the sequence of an access, but the sphere of true relationship (Note: in the Son and in the Heavenly Father). This is what it means, among other things, to be and live in Christ according to John 17.
As each individual sheep of the flock passes through this door, it begins to network with the sheep that have already passed through, resulting in the transformation of the flock into a white glorious warhorse bearing Jesus Christ as the King of kings and LORD of lords, revealed in the facet of the faithful and true, and as the Word of God (cf. Revelation 19:11-12.13.16).
The transformation of Jesus includes the following three levels:
- shepherd,
- door,
- the movement of the eternal king
and carries within it the principle or call to grow toward Christ, who is the Head (cf. Ephesians 4:15).
Ephesians 4:15:
15 Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ.
It is in the interest of Jesus to go ahead in Him as the Anointed One (Note: Christ). This means that He goes ahead of us to transform Himself into the ‘door’ with the purpose of opening the new realm of the Spirit for us as His followers.
It follows that the sheep get transformed in His presence to carry the eternal King in His reign as a glorious warhorse, while He establishes the righteousness of God through the living Word that comes from His mouth.
The Glorious War Horse of Judah
In order for Christ to be represented in His eternal kingdom government according to the Word of God, we need to be in the unified structure of the white, glorious war horse, which is the magnificent steed of Judah (Note: means ‘praise’). Jesus Christ is the lion of the tribe of Judah and we are called to carry Him (cf. Zechariah 10:3b-5 i.c.w. Revelation 5:5a)
Zechariah 10:3b-5:
… 3b for the Lord Almighty will care for his flock, the people of Judah, and make them like a proud horse in battle.
4 From Judah will come the cornerstone, from him the tent peg, from him the battle bow, from him every ruler.
5 Together they will be like warriors in battle trampling their enemy into the mud of the streets. They will fight because the Lord is with them, and they will put the enemy horsemen to shame.
Revelation 5:5a:
5a Then one of the elders said to me, “Do not weep! See, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, …
Abiding in the structure of the white glorious war horse of Judah involves living in true worship and unity with the respective saints. But not only as saints, but as those who are fully willing to be transformed by the Holy Spirit from a flock of sheep into this level of the glorious horse in order to carry and reflect Jesus Christ in the following facets
- The white horse,
- Christ in faithfulness,
- Christ in truth,
- Christ as the righteous warrior,
- Christ as the one who is concealed,
- Christ as the Word of God,
- Christ as King of kings and Lord of lords (cf. Revelation 19:11-16).
Revelation 19:11-16:
11 I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he judges and wages war.
12 His eyes are like blazing fire, and on his head are many crowns. He has a name written on him that no one knows but he himself.
13 He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God.
14 The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean.
15 Coming out of his mouth is a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations. “He will rule them with an iron scepter.” He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty.
16 On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written: king of kings and lord of lords.
These above facets signify the walk in:
- worship according to the heavenly standards of God,
- faithfulness to Christ as the Word of God,
- truthfulness (Note: transparency) to Christ as the Word of God and to the saints,
- higher level of spiritual warfare, which includes cooperative, apostolic, spiritual warfare (Note: The Word of God comes out of the mouth of Christ and is not carried by Him at His waist or in His hand; cf. Revelation 19:15a i.c.w. Hebrews 4:12-13),
- the mystery of Christ in the shape of wisdom and knowledge hidden within Him (cf. Colossians 2:2-3),
- Christ as the living Word of God, which includes revelatory truth,
- the kingship and government of Christ (Note: dealing with authority in honor).
If we, as believers in Christ, don’t go through and live in these different levels, we will not be able to properly understand the royal dominion of Christ in order to act upon it according to the will of God. It is, however, the blood of Jesus with which He bought us to serve in this governmental rule (cf. Revelation 1:5-6).
Revelation 1:5-6:
… 5 and from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood, 6 and has made us to be a kingdom and priests to serve his God and Father – to him be glory and power for ever and ever! Amen.
This transformation from a flock of sheep into the magnificently war horse presupposes the renewing of the mind. This will result in us leaving the lifestyle of a flock of sheep that stays in the meadow which symbolizes life in redemption, obedience and searching for ones own provision – i.e. eating grass – without being in a unitary mandate of authority (cf. John 10:9.27-28), and entering into the unitary structure of the white warhorse of the Lion of Judah, as the prophet Zechariah prophesied.
By this we are able to not merely follow Jesus Christ but to carry Him as King of Kings and LORD OF LORDS in honor in spiritual battle, wherever He wants to go. In this context Jesus Christ doesn’t guide us by standing, as a shepherd does his flock, but by sitting as ruling.
This points to Jesus Christ ascending into a higher level in the supernatural as a result of knowledge and spiritual maturity of His people as this higher level is connected to humility, His kingdom rule and the covering anointing (cf. Luke 22:69 i.c.w. Colossians 3:1-2).
Luke 22:69:
69 But from now on, the Son of Man will be seated at the right hand of the mighty God.
Colossians 3:1-2:
1 Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.
2 Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.
When Jesus Christ rides on His white horse, the word of God is manifested in power!
To this effect we are still led by His hand, and we experience the covering presence of His faithfulness and truth, and also the strength of divine righteousness which emanates from Him. This specific presence reveals Him speaking the word of truth to cut off all adverseness that needs to be cut off, and to expose everything that needs to be exposed.
Thus, the union of the followers of Jesus into the warhorse of Judah is the sign of Jesus revealing Himself in the dynamics of the Word of God as King of kings and LORD of lords in faithfulness and truthfulness.
The Restoration to Govern and to Give Right Counsel
Furthermore, the Lord is restoring hearing within His people, as He did with the ear of Malchus (Note: means ‘ruling, counselor’) when his right ear was cut off by Peter with the sword. This restoration leads to a greater understanding of the kingly government in Christ Jesus and following His counsel (cf. John 18:10; Luke 22:50-51 i.c.w. Isaiah 50:4-5).
John 18:10:
10 Then Simon Peter, who had a sword, drew it and struck the high priest’s servant, cutting off his right ear. (The servant’s name was Malchus.)
Luke 22:50-51:
50 And one of them struck the servant of the high priest, cutting off his right ear.
51 But Jesus answered, ‘No more of this!’ And he touched the man’s ear and healed him.
Isaiah 50:4-5:
4 The Sovereign Lord has given me a well-instructed tongue, to know the word that sustains the weary. He wakens me morning by morning, wakens my ear to listen like one being instructed.
5 The Sovereign Lord has opened my ears; I have not been rebellious, I have not turned away.
Moreover, the process of restoration involves standing in true relationship with the Heavenly Father in Christ Jesus, while not failing to find oneself in challenges where it can be felt as if standing between life and death represented by the Garden of Gethsemane.
To be in the garden, it is first necessary to pass through the door of the garden, which is not unguarded. Christ guards and leads His flock, which helps us gain access into a higher spiritual realm as we move forward under the light of His guarding eyes.
The entrance is like the door as it was at the time of Passover, where the threshold and doorposts were smeared with the blood of the Lamb (cf. Exodus 12:7).
Exodus 12:7:
7 Then they are to take some of the blood (Note: from the lamb) and put it on the sides and tops of the door-frames of the houses where they eat the lambs.
Furthermore, this door is connected to what is called a guard or protection mechanism, which functions in a similar way to the guarding of the entrance from the Garden in Eden by the Kerubim who carry the flaming and flashing sword (cf. Genesis 3:24).
Genesis 3:24:
24 After he drove the man out, he placed on the east side of the Garden of Eden cherubim and a flaming sword flashing to and fro to guard the way to the tree of life.
Passing through the door results in our no longer living to ourselves, but in a certain way being melted together into a holy formation in the fiery truth of God’s Word in order to carry Christ Jesus as the eternal King in unity.
At this point the question arises, are we ready to leave the status quo of the spiritual realm in which we dwell to be led in Christ to new heavenly places (cf. Ephesians 2:6)?
Ephesians 2:6:
6 And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, …
The Completion of a Period of Time and the New Phase of Triumph
The LORD speaks to His church – the Ekklēsia, letting them know that a phase of time has come to an end and has been completed in order to enter a new phase of the breath of His triumph and to proceed encased in it (cf. John 19:30).
John 19:30:
30 When he had received the drink, Jesus said, ‘It is finished.’ With that, he bowed his head and gave up (Note: breathed out) his spirit.
It is the breath of the crucified King that leads us as His people into a new dimension of spiritual warfare to effectively apply His triumph on the cross over the territorial powers of darkness. This is grounded in the joy of having our identity recorded in heaven (cf. Luke 10:18-20).
Luke 10:18-20:
18 He replied, ‘I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.
19 I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.
20 However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.’
Passing through the door that is Christ contributes to a complete renewal of mind, because the sphere that is behind the door carries the culture of Paradise, which is bent on carrying Christ in reverence as the King of kings, in love relationship with the Heavenly Father, and on issuing His decrees on earth (cf. Exodus 12:5-7 i.c.w. Hebrews 9:14; Ephesians 4:23).
Exodus 12:5-7:
5 The animals you choose must be year-old males without defect, and you may take them from the sheep or the goats.
6 Take care of them until the fourteenth day of the month, when all the members of the community of Israel must slaughter them at twilight.
7 Then they are to take some of the blood and put it on the sides and tops of the door-frames of the houses where they eat the lambs.
Hebrews 9:14:
14 How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we may serve the living God!
Ephesians 4:23:
… 23 to be made new in the attitude of your minds; …
In this level of paradise, we are allowed to unwrap the ‘wrapped gift’ to understand the wisdom and knowledge hidden in Christ for this time.
Since we are transferred to heavenly places with Christ according to Ephesians 2:6, it is necessary to properly understand the heavenly place to which He leads us through His Holy Spirit.
To properly understand the Kingdom of God, we need to allow the Holy Spirit to show us what to let go and respond to the call to go higher behind the open door in heaven where God is enthroned as King (cf. Revelation 4:1-2).
Revelation 4:1-2:
1 After this I looked, and there before me was a door standing open in heaven. And the voice I had first heard speaking to me like a trumpet said, ‘Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after this.’
2 At once I was in the Spirit, and there before me was a throne in heaven with someone sitting on it.
This causes us to no longer follow the voice, but to become one with Him and be in the voice, thus becoming the voice that speaks exactly what the LORD speaks (cf. John 7:16-17; John 14:24).
John 7:16-17:
16 Jesus answered, ‘My teaching is not my own. It comes from the one who sent me.
17 Anyone who chooses to do the will of God will find out whether my teaching comes from God or whether I speak on my own.
John 14:24:
24 Anyone who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me.
